About the Role
In conjuntion with the Service Manager, the postholder will provide operational management of the service, supporting practice development and providing guidance to the team. The role plays a key part in driving performance and service quality, building effective partnerships through multi-agency working, and contributing to financial accountability. The role also includes housing management, general tasks and responsibilities, and wider corporate responsibilities.

The successful candidate will be able to work well under pressure, prioritise their workload and manage crises effectively, while maintaining a sensitive and non-judgemental approach when working with vulnerable clients. The postholder will be required to work some weekends, early shifts and late shifts to meet the needs of the service.
Additional Information
The postholder will be based at our Haringey service, working full-time from Monday to Sunday on a shift rota basis, providing on-site support to survivors. Given the nature of this role, we are unable to offer hybrid working for this position.

About the Role
As Specialist Refuge Worker, you will help create a safe, welcoming environment for women and families escaping abuse. You’ll handle phone enquiries, prepare rooms for new arrivals, support with deliveries, and help maintain clean, safe communal areas.
You’ll introduce new residents to Solace services, explain key policies, and ensure they are aware of internal and external support options. Working alongside each resident, you will develop support plans, assist with benefits and housing applications, accompany them to appointments when needed, and help them work towards safe, independent move‑on accommodation.
About You
The postholder will have experience of working intensively with service users in an accommodation setting and be adept at risk and needs assessment and support planning.
You will be able to demonstrate knowledge of the intersection between domestic abuse and multiple disadvantages, a developed understanding of how this can make it difficult for women to engage with support, and an ability to reflect on your own practice.
The ideal candidate will be compassionate, practical, and resilient, with a genuine commitment to supporting survivors of domestic abuse. You’re confident working in a busy, varied environment and can balance hands‑on tasks with administrative responsibilities.

Purpose
The Living Wage Foundation is seeking an experienced and driven Senior Media and Communications Manager to join our team for a 12-month contract. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organised and proactive communications professional with a strong background in media relations, public messaging, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will be experienced and confident in working to tight deadlines, responding to last-minute changes, and prioritising competing demands in a high-profile environment. They will be motivated to amplify the Living Wage Foundation’s mission of tackling low pay and insecure work.
The postholder will lead all media, messaging, and external affairs work, developing and implementing a proactive media strategy that supports our mission and key campaigns, such as Living Wage Week and the annual Rates announcement. As a skilled media professional, you will oversee all communications outputs, ensuring consistency and strategic alignment, while delivering media training and refining key messaging to maximise reach and impact.
In this role, you will be instrumental in advancing our political engagement efforts, building cross-party support and working with political leaders, mayoral teams, and other key stakeholders to promote our initiatives. You’ll manage two direct reports (Events Manager and Media Manager) who each hold line management responsibilities, and you will play a critical role within our Senior Management Team, collaborating closely with the Head of Communications to shape the overall direction of our communications work. All staff work two core days (Tuesdays and Wednesdays) in our Central London office; members of the senior management team work an additional day in the office. The Senior Product Officer will work in the Engagement and Fundraising Directorate, responsible for all fundraising from individuals at the NSPCC. The Legacies and Products team sits within this d irectorate and is responsible fo r management and innovation across the products portfolio. Reporting to the Fundraising Products Manager - this role will be responsible for overseeing the development, fulfilment, and delivery of the NSPCC’s new and existing fundraising products, helping us achieve the highest levels of engagement from both new supporters.
