We are dedicated to providing essential support to those facing crisis, delivering foodbank sessions, offering wraparound support and working with partners to meet local needs. In the next 12 months, we have ambitious plans to tackle some of the wider poverty indicators that lead people to need Foodbank support.
 
At Hammersmith and Fulham Foodbank, our mission is to create a profound and lasting impact on our community, and we're looking for an Administrator. This critical role will be the front face of our organisation and so a range of high-quality skills is required to deal with donors, funders, partner agencies and those needing a foodbank. All our services are delivered with dignity and compassion, but we also have eligibility criteria and limits on what we can offer.

Key responsibilities:

• Administration and Customer Service – ensure comprehensive admin support across our departments and with stakeholders externally. Use your high-quality customer service skills to support our clients and their needs.
• Resource Management – resource management of our non-food resources across our sites, collaborating with staff and volunteers whilst managing inventory systems and completing required checks.
• Home Delivery Admin – support our home delivery requests, liaising with relevant coordinators internally, supporting the effective organisation and delivery of resources, and supporting our volunteers to make successful home deliveries.

 
What you'll bring:

• Experience in dealing with a range of stakeholders and using high-quality customer service skills
• Experience in effective delivery of supporting wide-ranging administration tasks, whilst comfortable learning and working with new and varied technology
• An adaptable and empathetic approach, using your initiative and identifying solutions to the benefit of our service and our clients
• A commitment to social justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with good communication skills (both written and verbal).

 
Requirements: An Enhanced DBS check is required for this role as we work with vulnerable people in society.

Wetland Officer (Isle of Wight)

We are seeking an Isle of Wight Wetland Officer to join our cause.

This is an amazing place to live and work, and you will be part of a friendly team working from our new office based on our rewilding site, Wilder Little Duxmore. This post offers a great opportunity to play a major role in the on-the-ground work needed to provide the best conditions for wildlife along the Eastern Yar wetland sites, including water voles, marsh harriers and breeding waders that call our nature reserves home.

What you’ll be doing

You will work predominantly within the Eastern Yar catchment on the Isle of Wight, working to re-naturalise the river and floodplain, deliver wetland habitat improvements, help to support the Trust’s ambition for a wild living beaver population and support the Trust in expanding and connecting the estate to make it more resilient. The variety of work will involve managing scrub with a range of tools and machinery, building and maintaining fences to ensure they are stock proof, removing non-native plants, manging livestock, and working with our local dedicated volunteer teams.

About you

You will enjoy working hands-on, as part of a team and be confident using machinery, with a genuine passion for protecting and restoring nature at scale. You will bring energy, commitment, and a solid, time earnt understanding of practical conservation management. You’ll have significant experience in the sector and with a variety of higher-level reserves management equipment.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead and ensure operational excellence: Oversee and maintain high-quality, client-centered operational services, while supporting volunteers and coordinating resources to meet established standards.
• Facilities and logistics management: Manage logistics, resources and facilities, including coordinating with key stakeholders, maintaining inventories and working with suppliers and partners.
• Compliance and Health & Safety: Act as the Health and Safety Lead, Data Protection Lead, and ensure adherence to policies and regulations, conducting and communicating risk assessments and maintaining a safe working environment.
• Collaborate closely with our dedicated team: Working closely with our Warehouse Coordinator, Volunteer Coordinator, Client Support Coordinator and Hub Supervisor, to ensure smooth logistics across our Hammersmith and Fulham centres.
