The Work Rights Centre is looking for an experienced and values-driven Immigration Adviser or Solicitor to join our frontline team. In this role, you will deliver life-changing legal advice to vulnerable migrants, while using your frontline insights to contribute directly to strategic campaigns, research, and policy work that challenge the systemic causes of injustice.
This is an ideal opportunity for an empathetic immigration expert who thrives in an agile and collaborative environment, and wants to plug the vital gap in support available through legal aid.
Pay: £36,000 - £42,000 (depending on qualifications and experience)
Contract length: Permanent (6-month probation)

The role
You will provide high-quality legal advice and representation at IAA Level 2/3 or Solicitor standard. Your diverse casework will range from assisting sponsored workers on high-risk visas, to managing complex human rights cases and supporting victims of modern slavery and trafficking. Crucially, your work will not happen in isolation. You will work closely with our employment advice team on overlapping cases, collaborate with policy and comms colleagues to evidence systemic issues, and help deliver public legal information and training.
About you
We seek an enthusiastic professional with at least 3 years of experience delivering high-quality immigration advice, who demonstrates a deep empathy for the experiences of vulnerable migrants.
You will also have:
Level 2 or 3 IAA accreditation OR status as a qualified Solicitor eligible to practice in England and Wales.
A 2:1 degree (or equivalent) in law or a related subject.
At least 3 years’ experience providing immigration legal advice in compliance with IAA/SRA standards.
Excellent legal research, analytical, and case management skills, with the ability to manage complex caseloads and tight deadlines.
Outstanding client management and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts to lay persons clearly and compassionately.
A collaborative, team-first mindset and a commitment to the mission and values of the Work Rights Centre.
Desirable: Knowledge of Modern Slavery and the National Referral Mechanism (NRM), familiarity with social welfare law, or proficiency in a language other than English.

The Director of Finance and Operations is a key role in the leadership team of a dynamic charity making a real difference in young people’s lives. About the role:
This is a rare opportunity for an experienced, precise and conscientious qualified accountant to join a dynamic, high-impact team working to protect the global environment and defend human rights. Key responsibilities:
Maintaining and improving EJF's global financial policies, systems, controls and processes, ensuring they are applied consistently in every country where EJF operates.
Managing six finance staff working in the UK and overseas.
Ensuring the production of accurate, accessible and insightful monthly and annual global financial reporting for internal and external audiences.
Providing strategic financial forecasts, insights and advice to the CEO, Senior Management Team and Trustees to inform planning and decision-making.
Preparing budgets for funding proposals and ensuring accurate and timely financial projections of spend against grants and reporting to funders.
Leading the annual organisational budget process, including multi-year financial plans.
Mentoring team leads on financial budgeting, tracking and expenditure oversight.
Monitoring and ensuring value for money in expenditure, identifying and removing inefficiencies and waste.
Developing and executing EJF's treasury strategy, including managing currency risk and reserves.
Overseeing payroll and pensions, working with external providers where relevant.
Completing regulatory returns as required by the Charity Commission and statutory bodies in the countries of operation.

Essential skills and experience

Minimum of six years' work experience, preferably in the international charity sector, including responsibility for managing a finance team.

Your new role

Community Action Nepal (CAN) was established 25 years ago by the world-renowned mountaineer Doug Scott CBE, to raise the living standards of remote mountain communities in Nepal. We are looking for an organised and proactive Office Administrator to provide full office administration to the charity. The position is part of a small team. The post holder will need to be self-reliant and work on their own initiative to co-ordinate all elements of the office administration of the charity, whilst working closely with the Operations Director, Fundraising Officer, Trustees and Patrons. The office administrator is often the first point of contact for donors and sponsors and therefore a confident telephone manner is essential and ability to respond to verbal and email enquiries; ability to delegate and refer enquiries to the relevant party eg Operations Director, Fundraising Officer, trustees, patrons. Responsible for the banking of donations, payments on-line and accurately recording information on the back-office systems including XERO for banking and being familiar with the functions and communications via a CRM for client relationship database. Responsible for communicating with the charity’s appointed accountant and the Charity Treasurer for general financial and banking queries. The role will include supporting the fundraiser with external events where necessary, particularly in Cumbria

About the Role

About the role
We are looking for an experienced and relationship-focused Senior Foundation & Institutional (F&I) Relationships Officer to join our Fundraising team. You will manage a portfolio of foundation and institutional funders, delivering excellent account management and stewardship while helping to secure continuation and increased funding.
You will play an important role across the full grant lifecycle, from developing compelling applications and donor communications through to reporting, compliance and ongoing relationship management.
