About the Role

Working with the Director of Fundraising and Communications, you will lead the development and delivery of Embrace’s supporter retention and donor development strategy, building deep and lasting relationships with individuals, churches, and communities. You’ll be responsible for shaping the full supporter lifecycle, from onboarding and ongoing relationship building to reactivation, cross-engagement, and long-term value growth. This is a role that blends strategy, creativity, and data insight, requiring someone who can hold the big picture while empowering a diverse team of fundraising and subject matter experts.

You’ll have:

• Proven experience in supporter engagement, donor retention, and income growth strategies.
• Strong analytical skills, experience using data for segmentation, trend analysis,
• and performance optimisation.
• Strategic thinking, with the ability to innovate and diversify income streams.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with an ability to lead and develop high‑performing teams in hybrid/remote settings.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects from planning to delivery.
• Knowledge of UK fundraising regulations, GDPR, and ethical practice.

The base location for this position is negotiable, with remote working / home working welcomed. If you prefer working in an office environment, you can work from one of our Field Studies Centres across the UK. Hybrid working options can also be considered.

This role includes travel to Field Studies Council locations and other venues throughout the UK and will involve some overnight stays.

We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate conservation professional to join the Trust and play a key role in the care and conservation of our outstanding churches, a fascinating and unique collection of highly listed historic buildings.

Overall job purpose

As a Conservation Projects Manager and a key member of the national Conservation team, you will work with experienced consultants and skilled craftspeople, with national and regional colleagues, volunteers, local partners and stakeholders to develop and manage a range of holistic, conservation and new use projects, from inception to completion, and providing professional advice and support to community led projects.  You will lead on capital, conservation and maintenance programmes in East Anglia and beyond as required.

You will have expertise and specialist knowledge in the field of historic building repair and conservation, and a proven track record of project management (client side) in the heritage sector. You might be a Building Surveyor, a Conservation Architect, an Estate Manager, or a Project Manager, in this continually varied and unique role you will be working on some of the most significant historic buildings in the country. As you’ll be working on projects across a large geographical area, it is essential you have a full driving licence.

The Role

Role type: Part-time

Schedule: 2 days per week

Salary: £30,000  full time equivalent

Location: Hybrid (we’re based in Vauxhall, London; you should plan to be there at least every other Thursday)

Start date: As soon as possible

Reporting to the Commercial Director, you'll be looking after:

• Book-keeping: Posting purchase invoices, keeping track of payments and receipts, making sure costs are allocated correctly and keeping our financial records up to date and squeaky clean.
• VAT: Preparing & submitting our quarterly VAT returns accurately and on time.
• Invoicing & credit control: You’ll take charge of the monthly invoicing process, gathering information from contracts, timesheets and project software to prepare accurate invoices for our clients and encourage them to pay on time. You’ll make sure what we bill reflects the work we’ve actually delivered.
• Payments & payroll: You’ll prepare a weekly payment schedule, making sure our valued freelancers get paid on time and keeping an eye on cashflow. You’ll also bring our monthly payroll preparation and reporting in-house (currently outsourced).
• Reporting & forecasting: You’ll be working closely with the Commercial Director and the Head of Strategy to ensure we’re on track with monthly targets, monitor financial trends, and flag risks or opportunities early - keeping our cash flow, accounts, and forecasts accurate and up to date.

From front‑of‑house coordination to facilities, health & safety and room bookings, you’ll play a vital role in making sure everything in the centre works as it should.

This role is fully site‑based, five days a week, and suits someone who enjoys being visible, approachable and actively involved in the day‑to‑day life of a busy centre. You’ll work closely with the centre and delivery teams, manage suppliers and resources, support compliance and security, and bring calm organisation to a fast‑moving environment where priorities can shift quickly.

Our partner, a well-established international organisation, is seeking an experienced senior finance leader to provide strategic support. This is a high-impact interim role, working closely with the CEO, senior leadership team and Board to ensure that any reviews of the organisation’s operating model are financially robust, evidence-based and deliverable.

The organisation is evolving its structure and ways of working in response to changes in the external funding environment and a desire to strengthen delivery across its global network. This role will play a key part in ensuring that financial planning, modelling and controls support this transition effectively.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead the development of a robust, evidence-based financial view of current and future operating approaches, including multi-year modelling, key assumptions and scenario analysis
• Translate organisational priorities into a clear and sustainable financial framework, ensuring affordability, resilience and alignment with available resources
• Support the organisation by strengthening financial planning, budgeting and forecasting processes
• Provide oversight of financial governance, ensuring appropriate controls, risk management and decision-making frameworks remain effective throughout
• Work closely with senior leadership to integrate financial insight into strategic planning and organisational decision-making
• Deliver clear, credible financial narratives and analysis to support Board-level discussions and build confidence among key stakeholders
• Support the organisation in embedding practical, sustainable financial processes and approaches that will underpin future ways of working

Required Experience

• Significant senior finance experience (CFO or equivalent), with a strong technical foundation and the ability to operate comfortably at both strategic and detailed levels
• Proven expertise in financial modelling, scenario analysis and business case development, including building and interrogating complex, multi-year financial models
• Experience supporting organisations through periods of change or transformation, ensuring financial plans are robust, affordable and deliverable
• Strong track record of working closely with senior leadership and Boards, providing clear, credible financial insight and building confidence in decision-making
• Demonstrated ability to bring a calm, structured and pragmatic approach in complex or sensitive environments, balancing pace with control and attention to detail

Working Arrangements

• Part-time from April - December, starting at 3 days/week.

We are seeking an organised, proactive, and resourceful Administration and Facilities Officer to support the Northern Ireland Director in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the office . The role will ensure:

• The efficient operations and facilities co-ordination of our Northern Ireland (NI) office
• Provide administrative support to the NI Director
• Facilities and admin support to the NI retail function when required

ESSENTIAL

Experience & Knowledge

• Experience in financial administration tasks (e.g., petty cash, expense processing, purchase orders).
• Familiarity with health & safety regulations and compliance (e.g., risk assessments, fire safety, first aid).
• Experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders, such as suppliers, landlords, fundraising teams, and senior management.
• Experience in a supporter care, customer service, or donor relations role, handling inquiries professionally.

Skills & Competencies

Conditions of Appointment: 

Salary Band: GB4

Salary: £24,060–£26,732.80 per annum (based on 28 hours per week).

Full‑time equivalent: £30,075–£33,416 per annum (35 hours per week).

New employees will normally start at the minimum of the pay band, with scope for progression over time.

This is a permanent, part-time post based on 4 days working week (28 hours per week - 0.8fte). The normal full-time working week is 35 hours.

The successful post holder will be required to complete a Basic AccessNI check and sign a criminal records self-declaration form.
