Purpose of Role
Our corporate partnerships are crucial to the success of Comic Relief and fundamental in helping us tackle poverty in the UK and around the world. We work with a range of organisations and brands, many of them have been with us for years!
The Partnership Executive will play a vital role in supporting the day-to- day management of our biggest strategic partnership at Comic Relief. The successful candidate will support the Senior Partnership Managers (SPM) in the day to day running of the partnership to ensure delivery of shared partnership plans and objectives
Key responsibilities:
The core areas of focus for this role are:
Partnership Management
Support the Senior Partnership Managers with all aspects of the day-to-day partnership management of our biggest strategic partner, helping to maximise partnership potential through fundraising, impact and storytelling.
Manage relationships with key stakeholders through effective communication, problem solving, and responding to requests in a timely manner.
Work alongside key teams within Comic Relief to deliver projects for partners. Teams including marketing, creative, PR, legal, talent, fundraising, finance and funding to ensure we are delivering against our partnership objectives and constructively supporting Comic Relief’s social change agenda.
Staff Engagement
Work with key teams within Comic Relief and with our strategic partner to identify and deliver corporate fundraising initiatives to engage and inspire colleague engagement and fundraising
Support staff engagement initiatives for our partners, working closely with both the funding team at Comic Relief and funded partner organisations to plan and execute corporate visits (virtual and in-person) to continue to engage partner employees with Comic Relief’s work.

Fundraising Marketing Manager
Fixed Term Contract to Cover Maternity Until January 2027

Purpose of Role
At Comic Relief, we harness the power of entertainment and pop culture to create a just world free from poverty. And, as our Fundraising Marketing Manager, you’ll contribute to this by developing brilliant marketing strategies and fundraising toolkits for multiple fundraising campaigns.
You’ll identify ways in which we can use powerful stories and integrate our content and communications to maximize impact across difference audiences. You’ll also lead on awareness generating activity to fill the top of the funnel, and ultimately leading supporters to donations and other activations. You’ll balance data and creativity in equal measure; you’ll think strategically, act tactically and you’ll be a natural collaborator, informing and delivery to ultimately drive joyful generosity.
Key responsibilities:
Manage the development of marketing plans to support fundraising campaign strategies and objectives that support fundraising income generation. This may include for example working with internal and/ or external teams to create:
o Creative campaign propositions/ strategic approaches to fundraising campaigns
o Look and feel guidance
o Campaign Proposition Guidance (Songsheet), including headline messaging approaches Hero campaign assets such as advertising asset concepts or marketing photography shoots.
o Developing money buys and identifying suitable stories to enable and facilite powerful impact led storytelling.
· Work with the Senior Fundraising Marketing Manager to develop campaign and marketing activity briefs for delivery teams and external agencies.
· Specify how marketing activities for campaigns will contribute to, and help achieve, fundraising goals. Specify key channels and tactics to consider for driving awareness and moving audiences through stages of engagement towards conversion and ultimately donating, whilst also ensuring CR comms content/ activity is consistent, strategically aligned and focussed.
Work with digital fundraising experts (for example in paid media) and delivery experts (for example in content production or third parties) to implement the agreed plan and ensure that it activity is aligned and integrated. This may include
o The management of BBC Marketing Campaigns with BBC Marketing and BBC Creative
o Day to day management of campaign creative agencies.
o Working with internal or external creatives on delivering top of the funnel assets for paid media and other channels.
· Working with the corporate partnerships and new business teams to introduce creative campaign propositions to new and existing corporate partners with the goal of achieving wider integration and alignment across campaigns to achieve enhanced conversion and income generation.
· Overseeing the communications calendar and supporting integration and alignment of communications
· Playing an active part in the success of our fundraising and engagement strategy by contributing to the development of team wide annual plans and budgets, using learnings and insight to make recommendations to facilitate growth

Strategic marketing planning:
o Knowledge of fundraising campaigns, fundraising tactics, and fundraising channels, especially digital channels.
o Experience of planning marketing activity or projects for campaigns that drive audiences to take action (creative, headline messaging, hero assets etc.)
o Experience of marketing/fundraising planning and tracking, including setting and monitoring performance KPIs and metrics across online and offline channels.

Portfolio Manager, Funding Department

Purpose of Role
The Portfolio Manager will play a key role in the success of the team responsible for Comic Relief’s funding programme focused on tackling the effects of poverty. This role is focused on forced migration (in a team that also works in areas such as food insecurity, homelessness in the UK, and maternal and child health internationally),
The Portfolio Manager will hold direct responsibility for new Comic Relief grant making and ongoing grant management both in the UK and internationally, ensuring excellent grant making practice.
The Portfolio Manager will collaborate with other teams in the funding department and across the wider organisation to support Comic Relief’s overall objectives, including income generation.
Key responsibilities:
Grant making and ongoing grant management
· Manage new grant making, including working with colleagues to design funding opportunities, assessing funded partners, designing appropriate ongoing support mechanisms, and working with learning colleagues in the Funding Team on appropriate data collection
· Manage assigned funding portfolios and relationships with funded partners, ensuring that the portfolio is managed in a timely and responsive way, using Comic Relief’s (CR’s) systems and processes.
· Coordinate with other colleagues across the different teams in the funding department to ensure effective and efficient ways of working, and fruitful collaboration and learning across different funded issues and areas.
· Manage all ongoing requirements, such as narrative, financial and risk reporting, collaborating across the funding team and wider Comic Relief as appropriate.
· Work with the Assurance and Finance teams to ensure ongoing compliance across the portfolio with legal requirements, our grant conditions, reporting requirements and best practice.
· Collaborate with Partnerships colleagues to manage donor reporting and other information needs for external and internal use, such as information about our funded work and our partners.
Cross organisation and sector collaboration
· Support resource mobilisation partnerships through collaborative and supportive working with Comic Relief’s communications, fundraising and partnership teams.
· Work with the Partnerships Team to support strong relationships with existing and potential co-funding partners, including corporates and/or trusts, foundations and institutions, and support proposal development, reporting and other requirements.
· Work collaboratively across CR to support storytelling around CR’s impact.
