Brief role description
The young people programme supports young people from Forces families aged 16 to 24, particularly those who are disadvantaged, affected by mobility, at risk of becoming NEET or who have Special Educational Needs (SEN). The programme aims to broaden horizons, raise aspirations and build skills and confidence. It connects young people with meaningful employment opportunities through a combination of one-to-one mentoring and employment support, group workshops, employer events, digital training, work experience and apprenticeships.
As part of a small team, the Education and Skills Liaison will lead on engaging, developing and managing relationships with schools, youth and community groups, military charities, the MOD Education Team, the SCiP Alliance, Families Federations, HIVE and other key stakeholders to advocate for children and young people from Forces families.
Who we're looking for
We are looking for someone with a background in education and/or experience supporting young people to overcome challenges. You will have experience in a customer-focused environment and a track record of delivering to SLAs. You will also be a strong collaborator and team player, with demonstrable influencing skills and coaching or mentoring experience.
You will be a self-starter with confidence to use your own initiative and a passion for supporting the Armed Forces community. You will have an understanding of the challenges faced by forces families in finding appropriate and sustainable employment. In addition, you will have strong operational and administrative skills, knowledge of GDPR and experience using CRMs.
The ideal candidate will have lived experience of the Armed Forces lifestyle, a background in secondary or further education and a NVQ Level 6 in Advice, Information and Guidance.
This position is remote; however, candidates must be based in Hampshire to support local engagement activities and demonstrate knowledge of regional authorities and organisations.
This is a fixed-term position for 12 months. The contract end date will be confirmed at the offer stage.

Role Summary
The main function of the curation officer is to support the curation and wider team’s administrative and curatorial needs. Daylight Women’s Day Centre is an exciting new service providing a place of safety and support for women who are long term rough sleepers in London. We want to reach women who have experienced abuse, mental illness, addiction, poor physical health, unclear immigration status and homelessness. The Mason Foundation is a national charity that supports neurodivergent young people and communities to thrive. (Neurodivergent means people whose brains work differently, for example autistic people or people with ADHD.) We run three main programmes: Propel, which is employment support for neurodivergent young people aged 14 to 25; Community Mile, locally led physical activity run by trained Champions; and wider community programmes. About the role
You would be the person delivering our programmes on the ground across the South East. You would deliver all three programmes, Propel, Community Mile and our community programmes, by running training and sessions, building relationships, and championing neuroinclusion, which means helping everyday settings work better for neurodivergent people. Levenshulme Good Neighbours, (LGN) is a local charitable incorporated organization (reg 1163827) offering befriending services to socially isolated and lonely over 55-year-olds members of the Levenshulme local community. The Marketing and Support Administrator will be tasked with creating newsletters, data entry, management of client files, dealing with invoices, receipts, social media campaigns, attending promotional and communal events, creating board meeting agendas and other vital tasks to keep the charity running smoothly. We are hoping someone with an optimal outlook and positive attitude can join our team. This role would require someone with a passion for the cause; tackling social isolation and loneliness experienced by older people.
You will be governed by a friendly and diverse team of locals who share the same passion, come from diverse backgrounds and offer a lot of skills and insights into the field.

Rare Dementia Support (RDS) is a UCL-led collaborative service offering specialist social, emotional and practical support services for individuals living with, or affected by, a rare dementia diagnosis. Our vision is for all individuals with, at risk of, or supporting someone with one of these forms of dementia to have access to information, tailored support and guidance, and contact with others affected by similar conditions. RDS is provided by the UCL Dementia Research Centre (DRC) at the Queen Square Institute of Neurology and the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery - where the post is based - and partners, and funded by The National Brain Appeal.
You will contribute to the work of the Rare Dementia Support (RDS) direct support team providing advice via support calls and in-person at the new Rare Dementia Support Centre (RDSC) by supporting people living with atypical, inherited, and young onset dementias, their carers, their families, and their friends, and professionals and practitioners working to support them. This role includes the opportunity to shape and direct special projects related to the development of new support groups, professional training, or patient and public involvement/engagement (PPI/E), in line with the activities of RDS and the wider Dementia Research Centre. The post is not a research post, and would be suited to persons with an experienced background gained by working as Dementia Advisers within charity organisations.
The post is available immediately and funded by a donation from The National Brain Appeal until 31 March 2028 in the first instance.
The post is offered part-time at 21.9 hours per week (0.6 Full Time Equivalent). This role is eligible for hybrid working with a minimum of 67% of time on site.

You will have an Honours degree (or equivalent) in a relevant health-related discipline and experience delivering pre-, peri-, and post-diagnostic rare dementia support. Extensive and expert knowledge of atypical, inherited, and young onset dementias, and up to date knowledge of the range of support available to people living with rare dementia and their families, and relevant aspects of the health and social care systems in the UK is essential.
A demonstratable understanding of, and ability to, manage the needs of patients with degenerative conditions, including the use of specific support skills and strategies as appropriate is also a requirement. You will also have excellent interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills, with the ability to communicate highly sensitive information to cognitively impaired and/or psychologically vulnerable people and their carers, who may have significant barriers to understanding or acceptance.
Starting salary offered at UCL Grade 7 in the range £26,388.60 - £31,551.60 (i.e., 60% of £43,981 - £52,586) per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
