Job description

Use your skills to make a real difference for local families facing hardship. As a Adviser with Citizens Advice Peterborough on the Peterborough Foodbank project, you’ll meet clients via prebooked face to face or telephone appointments, listening to what’s going on, exploring their options, and helping them take their next steps forward.

This is a hands‑on role delivered in partnership with Peterborough Foodbank, where your ability to talk to people, build trust, and communicate clearly matters more than previous advice experience.

We’ll train you to use our resources so you can provide advice and guidence on the issues that often sit behind food poverty including income, benefits, debt, housing and employment. You’ll help clients understand their rights, explore practical options, and feel more confident about the future.

If you’re compassionate, curious, and motivated to help people move out of crisis, this role gives you the chance to make a genuine impact every single day.
