What you will do

• Lead the delivery of a complex portfolio of fundraising and stewardship events in the UK and internationally

The Supporter Care Officer role sits within the Supporter Services team, which forms an integral part of the Individual Giving team, within the Marketing Communications Department at Hearing Dogs for Deaf People.

Working alongside another Supporter Services Officer and managed by the Supporter Care Manager, you will support the delivery of our Individual Giving programme, specifically in support of our Puppy Sponsorship Scheme.

The delivery of exceptional supporter care across multiple channels lies at the heart of the Supporter Care team and forms an integral part of the Individual Giving retention strategy.

In many instances, you will be the first line of enquiry either by telephone, email, social media, or letter (and occasionally face-to-face) for Hearing Dogs’ supporters.

Building good internal relationships within our Charity is an important part of this role as you will be working with various teams.

KEY TASKS OF THE ROLE:

Stewardship

• Present a professional, positive, and proactive approach to supporter care and adherence to best practice regarding stewardship and supporter engagement.
• Be proactive in stewardship process improvement and development, maintaining up-to-date guidance notes for areas of your work.
• Ensure all interactions with supporters are logged in the CRM system and where appropriate passed on to the relevant team(s) in a timely manner.
• Use KPIs and SLAs to track, measure, and report on performance to ensure supporter care consistently meets our high standards.

Puppy Sponsorship

• Process telephone, post and email enquiries/donations regarding and related to the Puppy Sponsorship Scheme, and ensure that all queries are responded to and resolved within recommended stewardship guidelines and timeframes for the team.
• Assist with maintenance of Puppy Sponsorship data on the Charity’s CRM to ensure supporter records are up-to-date and accurate, flagging any issues to the Supporter Services Manager.
• Promptly action any tasks set via the CRM system.
• Learn other aspects of Puppy Sponsorship activity and process as required, to support the wider team, and ensure that high standards of supporter care are maintained at all times, particularly noting pinch points in the team calendar.

Appeal Data & Fundraising Activity

• Prepare data for Puppy Sponsorship updates and build email communications.
• Assist with the production and cleaning of mailing files to support fundraising appeals, raffles, lotteries, and other products.
• Provide additional support to the other areas of the Supporter Services team, learning processes as necessary at times of increased fundraising activity and to ensure supporter care standards are adequately maintained during holiday periods.

Additional Requirements

• Be able to talk knowledgeably and enthusiastically about our work, specifically the Puppy Sponsorship Scheme.
• Conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times.
• Treat all supporter personal information according to GDPR requirements.

We’re looking for an inspiring Relationship Executive to work within the regional team to manage individual, group and corporate supporter relationships.

This role will provide an exceptional level of service, predominantly over the phone and by mail and email, to help maximise in year and lifetime value, and transition relevant supporters to Relationship or Legacy Managers to extend their journey.

What will I be doing?

We’re seeking a passionate Video and Photo Content Producer to help us tell powerful stories that inspire and engage. Working within our Fundraising and Communications department and liaising closely with our Department for World Mission, you’ll craft compelling narratives that show the impact of our work around the world to UK supporters. We’re seeking a skilled high-value fundraiser to help deliver our major donor programme for 12 months to cover maternity leave arrangements in the team. The role comes with the opportunity to line manage one direct report. 
 
This is a key role in our Philanthropy and Corporate Partnerships team to help achieve its plans for growth and the key responsibilities include:

• Growing income through your own portfolio of high-net-worth individuals, cultivating new relationships and stewarding existing supporters.
• Supporting the delivery of the major donor fundraising strategy to raise substantial donations in line with agreed income targets.
• Providing excellent donor stewardship by crafting high-quality proposals, coordinating high-value events and shaping supporter communications.
• Exploring new ways to engage donors, for example by helping to launch our new Giving Circle. 
• Collaborating with colleagues across the Trust to maximise opportunities for donor engagement.

 
To succeed, you’ll bring experience of securing major gifts, a strong track record in high-value fundraising, familiarity with donor databases/CRM and ideally experience of supporting the delivery of a major donor strategy. 
 
This is a UK based role and offers a flexible location; however, if London office-based, a minimum of 40% working hours per week in the office is required. If home-based (within the UK), travel to London office will be required in line with business need, this will be on a regular basis and so applicants will need to be within reasonable travelling distance of London.

The funding environment has shifted fast. Alexandra Rose needs to be sharper, more strategic and more commercially literate than the traditional charity model allows. This role exists to make that happen.

We are looking for a senior funding leader who is comfortable operating as a “department of one” within a small but ambitious organisation. Trusts and Foundations prospecting and bid writing will form a core part of the role, working closely with the CEO and senior team. Beyond that, you will build and steward high-value funder relationships, develop and secure corporate partnerships aligned with our values, test new income models, and help us adapt confidently to a fast-changing landscape.

This is a senior leadership position. You will work closely with the CEO and Head of Finance to shape organisational direction and build a resilient, full-cost-recovery funding model that protects quality, depth and long-term impact.

This is a remote role, with a requirement to regularly attend meetings and events (mainly London but on occasions project areas elsewhere in the UK).

Key Responsibilities

 Strategic leadership

• Deliver the current funding strategy, which includes Trusts & Foundations grant funding, corporate donations, and testing new potential ways to generate income.
• Monitor sector trends, opportunities and risks, and reposition the charity as needed.
• Work closely with the CEO and Head of Finance to align income planning with organisational priorities and financial forecasting.
• Build simple, effective systems for pipeline development, forecasting and reporting.

 Trusts & Foundations

• Lead the trusts and foundations portfolio, working closely with the CEO to secure multi-year, core and expansion funding, including directly leading on the writing of funding bids. This will be a core part of the role.
• Develop compelling, well-evidenced funding proposals rooted in our mission and impact.
• Build strong, long-term relationships with funders.

 Corporate Donations & Partnerships

• Manage and grow existing corporate relationships, ensuring partnerships remain values-aligned, purposeful and mutually beneficial.
• Identify and develop new appropriate corporate donors and partners, informed by research into corporate giving, ESG and CSR trends.
• Shape and evolve a clear, credible and cost-effective corporate engagement offer that supports long-term organisational sustainability.

 New income streams

• Scope, test and (if viable) deliver new earned-income models, such as corporate engagement models.
• Develop proof-of-concept approaches and evaluate their feasibility.
• Support the organisation to diversify and strengthen its income base.

 Collaboration & leadership culture

• Serve as a key member of the Senior Management Team, contributing to organisation-wide strategy and decision-making.
• Build a transparent, mature, collaborative culture around income generation.
• Ensure the wider team understands funding opportunities, constraints and strategic choices.
