About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of Global Witness's fundraising. Community Action Nepal (CAN) was established 25 years ago by the world-renowned mountaineer Doug Scott CBE, to raise the living standards of remote mountain communities in Nepal. In this time CAN, working predominantly with our implementation partner in Nepal, has built 17 schools, 19 health posts and three Porter Rescue Shelters and delivered a wide range of livelihoods, agriculture and cultural programmes, improving the lives of many thousands of people in rural Nepal. We are looking for an organised and proactive Office Administrator to provide full office administration to the charity. The position is part of a small team. The post holder will need to be self-reliant and work on their own initiative to co-ordinate all elements of the office administration of the charity, whilst working closely with the Operations Director, Fundraising Officer, Trustees and Patrons. As Director of Public Fundraising, UK and Europe, you'll own the strategy and delivery for community fundraising, endurance events, and all public fundraising activity across the region. You'll lead the local implementation of the Movember campaign, drive year-round retention and engagement of the Mo Community, and take an active role in shaping the broader UK and Europe Country Strategy. Brief role description
The Management Accountant plays a key role in supporting the Director of Finance and Resources and Head of Finance by preparing management reports, undertaking financial analysis and ensuring accurate reconciliations, audits and compliance with policies. Working closely with directors, managers and the fundraising team, the role also contributes to the effective implementation and monitoring of funding streams, financial controls and reporting processes.
Who we're looking for
We're looking for a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with experience in management accounting, budgeting and financial reporting. You will have an analytical mindset, excellent attention to detail and the ability to turn financial information into clear, concise reports that support decision-making.
The successful candidate will have experience producing monthly management accounts, a good understanding of VAT and strong IT skills, including proficiency to Microsoft Office. You'll be able to manage competing priorities, work to deadlines and communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
Most importantly, you'll be a proactive team player who can work collaboratively, exercise discretion when handling sensitive information and contribute positively to a supportive and mission-driven organisation.
