Purpose of the Job
As the Individual Giving Manager, you will proactively help deliver our supporter acquisition and retention programmes through the development, implementation and management of multiple campaigns. The post holder will support with strategic development of Individual Giving and proactively adopt a test and learn approach to campaigns. The post holder will work alongside a second Individual Giving Manager and have the responsibility of an Officer.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Working closely with the Senior Individual Giving and Legacy Manager, develop, implement and manage a portfolio of acquisition and retention campaigns
- Maximise opportunities for cross-team campaigns
- Develop and implement continuous test and learn strategies
- Proactively contribute to the development of an effective Legacy programme

About the role
Reporting to the Senior Development Research Officer (SDRO), the Development Research Officer (DRO) plays a vital role in the University’s fundraising operation.
This is an appointment to a Development Researcher role, as outlined in the job description. The focus of this position will be on proactive prospect identification, prospect development, pool management, and due diligence.
You will be the responsible for identification of fantastic prospects, working on innovative prospecting projects, working with fundraisers to drive prospect relationships forward, ensuring our CRM is kept up to date with prospect data, producing informative and insightful donor profiles, conducting fundraiser pool reviews; and preparing due diligence papers.
You will have a passion for philanthropy and the desire to gain a deep understanding of our donor and prospect pools, as well as the many projects undertaken at the University. You will provide accurate and appropriate information relating to potential and current donors to the University, high net worth individuals, corporations and charitable foundations worldwide.
Working with colleagues, you will play a direct role in the University’s programme of identification and analysis of potential donors, deploying and enabling systems to support the documentation and management of such potential donors and suggesting tailored strategies to reach and engage such donors.

The Role
Lead on the delivery of a number of events from the agreed portfolio; both owned and third party events. We are working hard to raise awareness of myasthenia, as it is a little-known condition. We provide support for people with myasthenia and their families, whilst offering advice and tips for living with the condition.

The Operations and Volunteer Coordinator is a flexible, part time role and if you are highly organised, enjoy working as part of a small team and making a difference in the local community then this role may be for you. In this role you will be the first point of contact with all of our wonderful volunteers, who are critical to the success of our work. You will also support the wider charitable activity with your strong administrative and operational skills, including organising events, managing our database and general office management.
