Key Responsibilities

• Create a clear, phased L&D roadmap that takes us from solid foundations to more modern and digital learning approaches
• Develop and deliver programmes that strengthen skills across all levels, with a strong focus on supporting managers and leaders
• Support and develop L&D team members
• Design and deliver regular learning opportunities including workshops, e-learning and practical sessions that support change and everyday effectiveness
• Use learning insights and data to understand successes, needs and inform planning
• Support a joined-up L&D partnering approach to offer tailored guidance to teams
• Lead and coordinate L&D projects and change initiatives in collaboration with leaders and experts
• Ensure all learning is inclusive and accessible for everyone
• Manage the L&D budget carefully and maximise value from the Apprenticeship Levy

About You

• Proven experience building or developing an L&D function from the ground up, ideally in a charity or purpose-led setting
• Strong background in blended learning across in-person, virtual and digital formats
• Solid project management experience, including LMS oversight
• Confident using data and insights to understand impact and inform decisions
• Good understanding of learning theories, best practice and emerging digital tools
• Professional study or equivalent experience in Education or Learning & Development

The Finance & Operations Manager is a senior leadership role responsible for the financial sustainability, compliance and operational effectiveness of the charity. The postholder will lead all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, rent and service charge accounting, housing benefit income and statutory reporting.

Alongside this, the role has strategic responsibility for office and refuge operations, including facilities management, health and safety, and central administrative systems.

The Finance & Operations Manager will work closely with the Director, Senior Management Team and Board of Trustees, manage key external relationships, and line manage finance and operations staff.

You hold a critical and integral role for the growth and development of the DEC’s website and digital marketing, taking an audience and insight led approach to innovation and supporter engagement. The role builds on various workstreams, projects and innovation processes that have been developed in recent years.

You will be digitally astute with expertise in paid media and digital product development, and a confident communicator, who project manages with ease and leads and engages with diverse internal & external stakeholders to develop an effective, responsive and agile approach to fundraising and supporter engagement in the digital environment. You must have demonstrable knowledge of UX principles and tools, a working knowledge of Drupal (or equivalent CMS), HTML and CSS, and excellent knowledge of digital analytics, particularly Google Analytics and social platform analytics.

Key Responsibilities for this role, include:

Website Management: Act as Product Owner, oversee roadmap, UX testing, security, hosting, and SEO.

Digital Fundraising: Manage paid search, social media, programmatic advertising, and evergreen campaigns; optimise performance and ROI.

Innovation & Strategy: Develop new digital tools, lead AI strategy group, drive product development from ideation to MVP, and foster a culture of innovation.

Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate across teams, manage external agencies, and lead digital collaboration with member charities.

Financial & Risk Management: Oversee £100k+ budgets, ensure compliance, report on performance, and mitigate digital risks.

Digital & Innovation Strategy and ensure adherence to legal and ethical standards, maintaining best practices in equality and accessibility.  Design and deliver programmes that build awareness and capability around inclusive behaviours.

Data & trends: Monitor, analyse, and report on D&I metrics to measure progress and inform future actions. Stay ahead of trends, lead new initiatives, and represent the organisation in external forums to promote our commitment to inclusion.

Direct Marketing Manager, European New Donors

Location:  London

Hiring Range:  46,000-55,000 GBP per year

Reporting to the Director of New Donor Engagement, the Direct Marketing Manager leads IFAW’s international new donor acquisition and global reactivation efforts. This role oversees the strategy and execution  of IFAW’s direct mail and face-to-face fundraising for four European markets:  Germany, France, UK and The Netherlands.  This role also designs and executes strategies to re-engage long lapsed supporters in all markets. Collaborate with the digital acquisition team to amplify results and leverage the strategies to attract new donors and reactivate lapsed donors. The manager collaborates with internal teams and external vendors to ensure campaigns are delivered effectively and in alignment with organizational goals.

Role and Responsibilities

· Lead all facets of direct mail new donor acquisition and reactivation programs, including strategic planning, budget oversight, creative strategy, vendor management, and process optimization.

· Support and participate in direct response TV campaigns and leverage that strategy to amplify results in direct mail and face to face channels.

· Develop and implement country-specific acquisition and reactivation strategies to maintain or grow donor file size in alignment with departmental goals.

· Conduct in-market research and stay informed on emerging donor acquisition methods and trends.

· Collaborate with Direct Marketing Directors to ensure newly acquired and reactivated donors align with overall fundraising goals and audience segmentation strategies.

· Oversee vendors and internal colleagues to ensure acquisition and reactivation campaigns are executed accurately, efficiently, and on schedule.

· Apply direct marketing principles, fundraising strategies, and analytical insights to design and optimize acquisition and reactivation campaigns.

· Research, identify, and recommend acquisition and reactivation test plans that support innovation, cost efficiency, and departmental growth objectives.

· Contribute to the development and management of the annual budget and three-year projections, ensuring alignment with strategic fundraising priorities.

· Deliver timely and accurate monthly forecast updates to the Director of New Donor Engagement, accompanied by a clear narrative outlining key performance trends, strategic adjustments, and changes impacting acquisition and reactivation campaigns.

· Review vendor contracts to ensure compliance with legal standards and alignment with organizational policies, fundraising ethics, and operational expectations. Ensure that vendors operate within contractual agreements.

· Lead the vendor selection process by issuing bids, evaluating proposals, and managing onboarding to ensure alignment with organizational standards and campaign goals.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

· 5+ years of direct marketing experience, preferably within a nonprofit or fundraising context

· Strong leadership and organizational skills, with a track record of self-motivation, effective time management, and team development

· Proven success managing cross-functional teams and external vendors to execute complex projects on schedule and within scope

· Exceptional communication abilities, both written and verbal, with a focus on clarity, persuasion, and donor engagement

· Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed fundraising goals, with a solid understanding of donor acquisition and retention strategies

· Global marketing exposure or international campaign experience is highly desirable

· Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, communications, or a relevant experience preferred

The Patrons Manager will be responsible for both Individual and Corporate Patron relationships from prospecting to renewal, managing recruitment, stewardship and overseeing excellence in customer service via the Patrons Box Office. This is a strategic role, with responsibility for managing and growing the Patrons Scheme, ensuring members make the most of their Patron membership to achieve maximum renewal and upgrade rates.

Our ideal candidate will be results driven, with a pro-active, can-do attitude that is role modelled in the small team of reports and more widely across the Department. You will be solutions focused with experience of taking accountability for improvements and resolutions. • Demonstrable experience leading on relationship management (including face to face) within a Patrons or Philanthropy scheme or similar
• Experience identifying new initiatives and ways to enhance Patron experience, with experience delivering in a culture of continuous improvement and customer service excellence. 
• Developed communication and rapport building skills; able to tailor communications effectively and quicky forge strong relationships, both internally and externally

Summary of the role: 

The Head of Income Generation & Marketing is a key member of Muslim Aid’s Leadership Team, responsible for executing the organisation’s fundraising and marketing strategy and overseeing all marketing and communications activities across the organisation. The post holder will lead the delivery of income generation plans, providing strategic direction and hands-on operational support to their direct reports to maximise income across all sub-department income streams. They will be accountable for growing and sustaining revenue from a diverse portfolio of supporters across the UK, ensuring income targets are met or exceeded.

The role includes mentoring and leading Management, supporting them to implement effective fundraising activity, achieve ambitious income and renewal targets year on year, and deliver high-quality stewardship experiences for supporters.

About the Role:

1. Design and deliver MA’s cross organisational fundraising and marketing strategy with a focus on sustainable and reliable unrestricted income generation. This will include key activities, areas of required investment, KPIs and milestones as well as the projected growth of fundraising income
2. Increase and diversify existing and new revenue streams specifically digital, CSR and private philanthropy.
3. Drive delivery against income targets by setting clear, ambitious, and achievable operational targets for each income stream, ensuring teams are supported to meet objectives aligned with Muslim Aid’s vision, mission, and strategic goals.
4. Provide effective marketing leadership for the organisation in collaboration with key stakeholders and drive forward transformational integrated marketing activities and campaigns.

Purpose of the role

The purpose of this role is to support our Head of Finance and Operations with our HR, operations and admin functions including managing systems to efficiently run the business and achieve strategic objectives agreed by Black Thrive Board of Directors. This includes being the first point of contact for HR and office queries, leading the recruitment process, managing onboarding and offboarding, preparing employment contracts (Full-time and/or part-time, zero hours and/or fixed terms contracts), supporting the Finance Officer with payroll, checking and following right-to-work in the UK, administrating DBS checks and creating new company policies together with management. The ideal candidate will be a sound HR generalist who has a good understanding of UK employment laws, organisational governance and  is comfortable working independently, have refined problem-solving skills, and thrive in a rapidly evolving environment.

Duties and responsibilities

1. The HR Manager assumes the primary responsibility for ensuring the organisations employment policies are fit for purpose and in line with any changes in employment legislation and for communicating the changes to the Directors and SLT where required.

2. Support the Head of Finance & Operations to manage HR and admin functions, including working with managers to prepare job descriptions, employment contracts, onboarding and offboarding.

3. Lead the recruitment process for new staff to source appropriate candidates for the organisation. This includes job advertising, shortlisting, interviewing, pre-employment checks and other pre-employment activities that are necessary.

4. Ensure the renewal of DBS checks for all staff is carried out on a periodic basis.

5. Process new joiners and leavers on the HR platforms and liaising with IT Support to ensure staff are set up or removed as needed.

6. Plan and coordinate induction for new employees.

7. Manage the employee performance reviews, and performance improvement plans in line with the organisations policies and any legislative requirements.

8. Work with the Head of Finance and Operations to implement and review the organisations reward principles and salary benchmarking exercise.

9. Support the Head of Finance and Operations to embed Black Thrive’s mission and values across the organisation, leading and driving the required culture change.

10. Review the existing policies and update or create new HR related policies in line with the current employment laws or governance requirements.

11. Develop, implement and review the employee development and training plan / strategy with the Head of Finance and Operations.

12. Develop and manage the annual training budget.

13. Ensure the provision of effective day-to-day office administration and support across the organisation.

14. Develop and implement sound strategies and initiatives to enhance the people management skills and capabilities across their teams.

20. Ensure all employee information in Bright HR is updated daily and accurately to ensure that the payroll can be processed on the due date.

22. Produce and deliver presentations, reports and other material relevant to the role.

Role Description

The Programme Coordinator will be tasked with ensuring the smooth running of all student related events. This will include having a full understanding of the SEO-London law programmes; understanding the legal industry that the programme supports; how these fits into the SEO-London organisation and using this knowledge to liaise with students and client/partner firms to run, organise and market successful events. In turn this role will be responsible for using data to run reports to show the impact of each programme.  

Reporting to the Head of Law Programme, you will make recommendations for possible changes and ideas to further support the student experience. The role will also ensure a seamless and professional level of customer care to all students of the Corporate Law Programme and City Solicitors Horizons scheme.

Accountabilities

DAY TO DAY DELIVERY OF EVENTS 

• Responsible for the overall administration of all student events, with specific responsibility to ensure student communication is exceptional. Including event management, student and partner communication and coordination of all the relevant stakeholders, along with posting roles on opportunities pages, promoting events and managing the law commercial awareness newsletter content.  

 
STUDENT MANAGEMENT & QUERY HANDLING 

• Responsible for the relationship management of the students - including the ability to understand needs, resolve issues and anticipating and creating a strong relationship on behalf of SEO-London 
• Responsible for managing student query escalations and to identify where there are opportunities to improve communication, marketing, or the type of events 
• Responsible for managing the programme inbox (where applicable)
