Job description

To provide visionary and values-driven leadership for Hull KR Foundation, building upon its
established impact and reputation to deliver the next phase of sustainable growth,
innovation, and community transformation.

The Director of Foundation will strengthen the Foundation’s role as a catalyst for positive
social change across Hull and the wider region, deepening engagement with communities,
partners, and stakeholders.

The postholder will drive the evolution of the organisation by expanding its reach,
diversifying income streams, and enhancing the quality, scale, and measurable impact of its
programmes. This includes aligning the Foundation’s work with emerging social needs,
widening participation, and ensuring that services continue to improve health, wellbeing,
education, and life opportunities for all beneficiaries.

The Director of Foundation will champion the values and identity of Hull KR, leveraging the
power of sport to inspire, connect, and empower communities, while maintaining strong
governance, financial sustainability, and organisational resilience. Through collaborative
leadership, they will develop a high-performing team and foster strategic partnerships that
position the Foundation for long-term success in its next phase of development.

Ultimately, the role exists to ensure the Foundation not only builds on its strong
foundations but evolves into an even more impactful, ambitious, and influential
organisation, capable of delivering lasting and meaningful change.

To achieve this, you’ll be a skilled communicator and influencer, able to lead continuous
improvement across a talented team, and to work successfully with external stakeholders at
a senior level. You’ll be motivated by delivering impact, including by supporting others to do
a great job, and through the right systems and processes. You’ll be comfortable working at
pace and navigating uncertainty as we continue to build The Foundation’s future. And of
course, you’ll be driven by our vision of Stronger, Connected and Thriving Communities.
