The role

We are looking for an energetic, organised and enthusiastic Corporate Development Officer to join our ambitious Fundraising team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in corporate fundraising or B2B account management who is confident building strong, long-term partnerships.

You will play a key role in growing our corporate income by stewarding existing relationships and cultivating new ones. Working closely with the Partnerships Manager and Deputy Head of Fundraising, you’ll help the organisation prepare for significant planned growth and an upcoming capital appeal.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver against corporate income targets in line with our fundraising strategy.
• Identify, cultivate and secure new corporate partnerships, including Charity of the Year opportunities, sponsorships and corporate fundraising campaigns.
• Steward existing corporate supporters with high-quality engagement, communication and reporting.
• Prepare compelling proposals, pitch materials and partnership agreements.
• Plan and manage corporate supporter engagement opportunities including meetings, volunteering days and events.
• Maximise corporate volunteering and pro bono opportunities.
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate records using our CRM system.
• Contribute to industry insight by monitoring trends, opportunities and sector developments.
• Attend meetings, pitches, events and occasional evening/weekend activities (TOIL provided).

About you

Essential Experience & Skills

• At least 1 year in fundraising or B2B account management.
• Ability to build strong, positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Experience working to income targets and managing pipelines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report and proposal writing.
• Good negotiation, influencing, and presentation abilities.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage a busy and varied workload.
• Confident user of Microsoft Office and CRM systems.

Desirable Experience

• 2+ years’ experience in corporate fundraising.

The role

Key Responsibilities:

 1. Training and Development

• Collaborate with Learning and Development Lead and Practice Team to ensure training programs are inclusive, accessible, and responsive to the needs of diverse communities.
• Use adult learning principles to design and deliver creative, innovative, and bespoke training solutions aligned with local demand, strategic priorities, and funding requirements.
• Will deliver training through online learning systems, including learning management systems (LMS), virtual training tools, and e-learning platforms.
• Develop and apply robust quality assurance and evaluation processes for all training activities. Collect feedback, analyse outcomes, and implement improvements where required.
• Deliver both internal and external training sessions across TLC subject areas.
• Coordinate and facilitate job specific inductions for new starters, ensuring all staff receive ongoing professional development in line with the TLC training plan.
• Apply coaching and training expertise to support internal staff development and wellbeing.
• Work alongside Learning and Development Lead and Practice Teams to manage the online learning system, maintaining accurate and up to date records of mandatory and CPD training.
• Identify, design, and implement appropriate training programs in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external training providers.
• Partner with the Head of Practice and Safeguarding, as well as the Marketing Team, to ensure clear and effective communication around all internal and external training programs.

2. Income Generation

• Support the Learning and Development Lead to collaborate with TLC’s Development Team to identify and apply for funding opportunities to expand and enhance training services.
• Following successful funding applications, plan, deliver, and monitor training programs in line with funding agreements and outcomes.

3. Quality Assurance

• Support the Head of Practice and Safeguarding, and the Learning and Development Lead, in maintaining high quality standards and compliance with accreditation frameworks.
• Contribute to achieving and maintaining accredited quality awards through ongoing monitoring, review, and implementation of quality action plans.
• Work with the Operations Team to collect and analyse customer feedback and reviews, using insights to support continuous improvement, funding applications, and marketing initiatives.
• Support the Learning and Development Lead in ensuring all policies, procedures, and training materials are in place to support staff, volunteers, and placements, including induction and ongoing learning.

4. Partnership and Community Engagement

• Represent TLC at partnership meetings and events to promote training and development services.
• Support the Marketing and Communications Team in promoting services, sharing information, and engaging the local community through social media and other communication channels.
• Actively contribute to raising the profile of TLC through collaboration, partnership working, and effective promotion of training opportunities.

General

Partake in evening and weekend work as required. Support the designated safeguarding lead to ensure all staff, volunteers, trustees and students at TLC understand that safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. Ensure adherence to policies mandatory training, reporting concerns, and compliance to protect children and adults at risk.

Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships

We are seeking a dynamic, strategic and entrepreneurial Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships to supercharge First Give’s next phase of income growth. This is a pivotal role at the heart of our mission, offering the opportunity to shape and deliver a multi‑year fundraising strategy that fuels real, measurable impact for young people and society as a whole. First Give is a small charity, with a growing fundraising team and big ambitions. You will therefore be someone who thrives in a start-up environment, brings new ideas to the table and is comfortable leading a brand-new team.

As the senior leader for all income streams, you will own and drive our major donor programme; unlock new philanthropic partnerships; and build a talented team across other income streams to achieve ambitious goals. Working closely with the Director and our emerging Campaign Board, you will play critical role in growing our £1m+ annual income, deepening donor engagement and building the culture, systems and relationships that will propel First Give into its next phase of expansion.

Job Profile

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will lead on the recruitment, retention, and value growth of Afghanaid’s supporter base by directing and implementing communications, fundraising and engagement strategies, aligned with broader organisation goals. Designing and managing a tight budget, you will direct the Communication and Giving unit to maximise their success.

You will provide strategic and supervisory oversight of fundraising income from individual giving, regular giving, major donors, trusts and foundations, corporates, community and student fundraising and events, managing annual fundraising appeals and driving organisational unrestricted income growth. 

You will lead on communications for Afghanaid, overseeing print, digital, and paid marketing activities and the growth of communications channels. You will execute Afghanaid’s organisational brand strategy which ensures the integrity of the brand and maximises awareness. You will manage all public relations including crisis communications, as well as the growth of strategic media placements and high profile relationships. You will drive the success of organisational impact storytelling and communications for both internal and external stakeholders. As a member of the executive department, you will collaborate and synergise with other departments to promote organisational success.

• Drive organisational strategy, culture and cross-department collaboration to advance Afghanaid’s mission and objectives.

• Lead development and delivery of Communications, Engagement and Fundraising strategies and work plans.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

You will be an experienced and dynamic communicator with significant demonstrable experience in fundraising and/or communications at a senior level, coupled with an awareness and up to date knowledge and experience of the tools that would maximise the success of our communications and fundraising activities. In addition, you will have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to confidently build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders. Possessing strong management skills, you will have experience of managing small multi-disciplinary teams, providing direction and leadership to enable development and high performance, and the ability to role-model a culture of equality, diversity and inclusion.

Education/ Training

Master’s Degree in communications, marketing, public fundraising or another relevant field (or at least 5-years’ experience).

Work Experience

• At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in fundraising, supporter engagement or communications, with at least 2 years’ experience directly managing staff.

• Experience developing and leading integrated multi-channel and multi-stakeholder communications, engagement and/or fundraising strategies.

• Experience in growing audiences, engagement and/or income streams.

• Experience communicating about and/or fundraising for and/or maintaining engagement with Afghanistan or a similar context.

• Experience using KPIs and data to make data-driven decisions to improve efficacy and efficiency.

• Experience managing and monitoring a tight budget.

• Experience conceptualising, producing and commissioning multimedia content, from marketing and fundraising collateral to audiovisual content.

• Experience running full-funnel, multi-channel marketing strategies including paid advertising.

• Understanding of risks associated with communications, public fundraising, and NGO operating contexts, and experience in mitigating those risks.

Main Responsibilities

Working as the Head of People & Culture for Citizens UK, reporting to the Executive Director, Finance & Operations, your main responsibilities will include:

People & Culture Strategy

Ensure Citizens UK has the people, capability and organisational shape required to deliver its mission and sustain impact over time.

· Analyse organisational strategy, change priorities and external context to identify their implications for people, capability, structure and ways of working.

· Carry out workforce planning to assess current and future capacity and capability, identifying gaps, risks and realistic options to address them.

· Develop, maintain and refresh the People & Culture strategy so it responds directly to organisational needs and provides clear priorities for action.

About the role

The Design and Communications Manager is responsible for managing Seashell’s brand identity so that it engages effectively with our audiences, reflects our values and articulates our ambitions.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as lead designer for the Trust and work with the Head of Marketing and Communications to establish clear direction for enhancing brand awareness
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to champion the Seashell brand, providing design insight and input into key campaigns.

ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic graduate to join our central team as one of three Harris Experience Programme Leads. The Harris Experience is a cultural and academic programme for our most able students in the Harris Federation, aiming to support them in getting placed at top universities and degree apprenticeships. The name ‘Harris Experience’ incorporates all of the specific programmes below.

You will be based at the Harris Federation head office in Croydon; however, most of your time will be spent visiting our academies in and around London. You will work closely with the Head of Harris Experience and the other Harris Experience Lead on programme vision, strategy and management.

Specifically, the role is to jointly support our team in leading our various educational programmes: the Harris Experience (HE), the Harris Experience Advanced (HEA), the Harris Scholars (HS) and the Harris Scholars Advanced (HSA), which are already in place from Year 9 through to Year 13.

The HE programme spans three years for each cohort, from Year 9 to Year 11; the HEA programme spans two years for each cohort, from Year 12 to Year 13. These programmes aim to broaden the cultural and academic experiences of some of our brightest disadvantaged young secondary students in the federation, preparing them to apply to the UK’s top university destinations and apprenticeships.

You will also be supporting our Harris Scholars (HS) and Harris Scholars Advanced (HSA) programmes which are specialised Oxbridge/medicine programmes. The HS programme spans two years for each cohort from Year 10 to Year 11; the HSA programme spans two years for each cohort, from Years 12 to Year 13.

Educational innovation will be encouraged and will be strongly tied to overall programme goals.

MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

This is an exciting opportunity to lead and develop the membership offer at the Horniman Museum and Gardens, overseeing a popular and growing scheme that plays a vital role in supporting our work. As Membership Manager, you will manage the day-to-day running of the membership programme while helping to shape its future direction, ensuring it continues to engage, inspire and retain a loyal community of supporters.

Sitting within the Communications and Income Generation Directorate and reporting to the Head of Fundraising, you will oversee membership operations, data and income processes, and deliver an engaging programme of events and communications for members. You’ll also line manage a Membership and Fundraising Assistant and work collaboratively across teams including Visitor Experience, Retail & Admissions, Digital and Finance.

This role would suit someone who enjoys combining data, finance and systems management with creativity and relationship-building, someone motivated by growing income, improving processes and delivering excellent experiences for our members.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the effective management and development of the membership scheme, ensuring income and retention targets are met
• Oversee membership data, CRM processes and reporting, ensuring accuracy, compliance and continuous improvement
• Manage Direct Debit and Gift Aid processes in partnership with Finance, maintaining robust and compliant financial procedures
• Plan and deliver an engaging programme of member events, communications and recruitment campaigns to grow and retain support
• Line manage the Membership and Fundraising Assistant, providing clear direction, support and development
• Build strong working relationships across the organisation and with members, stakeholders and supporters to champion the value of membership

About You

You are organised, detail-focused and confident working with data and financial processes, but you’re equally comfortable building relationships and delivering engaging communications. In this role, you’ll bring experience from a membership or fundraising background, and enjoy taking ownership of systems and processes, identifying improvements and implementing them effectively. You’ll be confident using CRM databases and managing income streams such as Direct Debits and Gift Aid, ensuring accuracy and compliance at all times. You thrive in a collaborative setting, working across departments and developing positive relationships with our members and other colleagues. You’re proactive, solutions-focused and able to balance competing priorities while maintaining a high standard of work. Most importantly, you’ll be motivated by the impact that membership makes for the Museum and enthusiastic about contributing to the organisation’s mission and future growth.

Key Qualities, Skills, and Experience

• Experience working within a membership or fundraising function, ideally within an arts, culture or heritage context
• Strong experience of working with relational databases and CRM systems, with the ability to analyse data and produce meaningful reports
• Knowledge of Direct Debit processing and Gift Aid, with a clear understanding of handling financial and personal data securely and compliantly
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience producing newsletters or member communications
• Strong administrative skills, high levels of accuracy and confidence working with numerical data
• Ability to manage and prioritise a varied workload, meet deadlines and work collaboratively across teams
• Experience of managing colleagues, and an ability to provide clear guidance and training where required.

Salary: £36,598 per annum (pro rata to £29,278 per annum)

Hours of work: Part Time, 28 hours per week

Details of the role

Reporting to the Head of Philanthropy (Health), and working in a team of major gift fundraisers, you will be responsible for securing six-figure gifts across a range of life-changing priorities spanning students, research and innovation. This post will work closely with colleagues across the Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health to deliver major gifts into priority areas including cancer, brain health and health inequalities. The post will support the Division’s efforts to develop and implement the health fundraising strategy in order to significantly increase philanthropic income.

An exceptional major gift fundraiser, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of relationships to secure six-figure gifts. You will proactively build the pipeline, demonstrating a creative approach to reach potential new donors. You will develop creative and effective engagement, cultivation and stewardship plans that deepen prospect relationships and inspire future support.

You will have experience working within a team whilst working towards personal targets. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who are results orientated, persuasive and have exceptional negotiation skills.

You will work in collaboration with colleagues in areas including Alumni Engagement, Regular Giving and Donor Relations to identify opportunities to maximise fundraising income and give our donors the very best supporter experience possible. And you’ll work together with colleagues across the University to help embed a culture of fundraising at Manchester.

• Oversee daily management, development and optimisation of the ICR’s main website — including content, SEO/AEO and technical improvements
• Work closely with internal partners to develop new pages, sections and features
• Lead a programme of ongoing content review and user training across the organisation
• Produce regular website analytics reports and deliver insight-driven recommendations
• Ensure consistent branding, accessibility and outstanding user experience
• Manage a Digital Communications Officer (job share, 1.2 FTE) and help recruit and line-manage a new Website Developer
• Plan and prioritise technical projects with our Digital Services (IT) team

About You
