Job description

Harris Hill are delighted to be partnering with Action for Pulmonary Fibrosis (APF), the UK’s leading patient charity for people affected by pulmonary fibrosis, to recruit a Healthcare Professional Education and Engagement Manager.

Salary: £34,000 – £37,500 per annum
Location: Hybrid role, with attendance at the charity’s Peterborough office for team meetings, collaboration and other key activities, typically on a quarterly basis, alongside travel to meetings, events and partner sites as required.

You will build relationships with clinicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals, develop a national programme of education and engagement, and help turn clinical insight and lived experience into practical resources and opportunities for collaboration.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals across the UK.
  • Build APF’s healthcare professional network and create opportunities for collaboration and shared learning.
  • Develop and coordinate a programme of healthcare professional education, including events, webinars, digital learning and practical resources.
  • Identify the needs of different professional audiences and tailor education and engagement accordingly.
  • Support healthcare professional involvement in OneVoiceILD and APF’s wider work to improve diagnosis, care pathways and outcomes.
  • Work with clinical experts, colleagues and people with lived experience to ensure education is evidence-based, relevant and accessible.
  • Capture insight, feedback and engagement data to evaluate and improve activity.
  • Work collaboratively across APF and with professional bodies, charities and other external partners.
  • Represent APF at relevant meetings, events and conferences.

About you

You will have experience of working with healthcare professionals, clinical stakeholders or professional audiences, alongside strong relationship-building and project coordination skills.

We are looking for:

  • Experience developing, coordinating or improving programmes, projects or new areas of work.
  • Experience planning or delivering education, training or professional engagement activity.
  • An understanding of the UK healthcare environment, ideally including the NHS and relevant care pathways.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • The ability to translate complex clinical or technical information into clear, accessible content.
  • Experience using data, feedback or CRM systems to track activity and support improvement.
  • A collaborative, proactive approach with sound judgement.
  • Confidence using digital tools, databases and CRM systems.
  • A commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion and improving access to high-quality care and information.

This is a fantastic opportunity to use your healthcare engagement and education expertise to make a real difference to people affected by pulmonary fibrosis.

If you are passionate about improving healthcare and are looking for a role with genuine impact, we would love to hear from you.

For more information, please submit your CV.

Please note, CVs are being reviewed on a rolling basis, and only successful applicants will be contacted with more information.
