About the role
As HR Business Partner at Leeds University Union (LUU), you’ll provide strategic people support to our leadership teams, helping shape how we deliver great people practice across the organisation. You’ll work closely with directorates to translate our People & Culture strategy into practical action, supporting workforce planning, organisational change, and leadership capability to ensure our teams can thrive.
Working in partnership with the Director of People & Culture, you’ll play a key role in establishing LUU’s business partnering approach and act as a trusted advisor to managers and senior leaders, providing expert guidance on complex employee relations while building manager confidence and capability in handling people matters.
The successful candidate won’t necessarily need to come from the Higher Education sector but will bring strong HR generalist experience, excellent relationship-building skills, and the confidence to influence and coach managers at all levels. You’ll be motivated by improving organisational culture, using people insight to drive decisions, and helping leaders create environments where people can do their best work.

As our Individual Giving Officer, you will join an energetic team and play a pivotal role in leading the marketing, delivery, development, and stewardship of NHYC's Individual Giving programme. This includes managing direct marketing acquisition and retention campaigns, developing new propositions, and expanding our reach to new audiences.
You will be responsible for managing existing activity, marketing channels and audiences, and at the same time identifying and developing exciting propositions targeted at new and existing audiences. As a Wilder Learning Officer, you’ll help shape and deliver an inspiring programme of outdoor learning, training and engagement that connects people of all ages with nature across Sussex. You’ll coordinate and deliver high‑quality sessions to teachers and children across EYFS, Primary and Secondary phases, in-school and outdoor settings. You’ll deliver and assess our accredited Forest School and Wild Beach training programmes to adults; advise on school grounds improvement for nature; and champion the benefits of nature connection through a wide range of activities and events. Alongside hands‑on delivery, you’ll support in marking, evaluation and planning; contribute to income generation; and help ensure our schools and learning programmes are safe, inclusive and reflective of best practice. You’ll play a key role in communicating our work—engaging with teachers, families, volunteers and external partners, acting as a friendly, knowledgeable ambassador for Sussex Wildlife Trust.
This is a varied and practical role at the heart of our Wilder Learning team, empowering educators and wider school communities to connect with nature and take meaningful action for wildlife in Sussex.

2wish exists to provide support to anyone affected by the sudden and unexpected death of a child or young person aged 25 and under.

2wish Cymru and 2wish:
2wish has been established since 2012 and has since grown from strength to strength. During this time, we have worked tirelessly to embed our service and ensure that the offer of support is made at the point of death.
We offer an immediate, consistent, high-quality and compassionate service to all individuals affected by the sudden and unexpected death of a child or young person aged 25 and under. We work in partnership with professionals who refer into the charity on behalf of families, so they don’t have to trawl through the internet for an organisation who may, or may not, be able to support. We provide immediate, and ongoing, support and are here for as long as our families need us.
We were founded as a Welsh organisation providing immediate casework support, as well as ongoing aftercare services including counselling, alternative therapies, play therapy, support groups, support events and a respite cottage.
In January 2024, we expanded into ‘phase one’ England, namely Cheshire, Shropshire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Gloucestershire and Somerset. And in July 2025 we expanded into ‘phase two’ England, namely Merseyside, Devon and Cornwall, Wiltshire, Dorset, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.

What we do for you:
Contract type: Permanent
Hours: Normal office hours are 9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday, although alternative hours may be worked with line manager agreement. Work outside office hours may sometimes be necessary and will be compensated for by time off in lieu.
Annual leave: 28 days plus bank holidays. Annual leave steadily increases after five years of service. Annual leave and statutory holidays are calculated on a pro rata basis where applicable.
Pension: 2wish operate a contributory pension scheme. 2wish will auto-enrol you into the scheme in accordance with it’s auto-enrolment obligations. Full details of the scheme will be provided to you once you are enrolled, including the minimum level of contributions that you will be required to make during your membership (current contributions – employer 3% and employee 5%).
Mileage: A fixed rate allowance is payable for agreed mileage undertaken on 2wish business in a private vehicle, over and above your usual journey to your workplace/s.
