The Senior Trusts and Foundations Officer is responsible for researching prospects, developing applications and managing deadlines to maintain and develop a strong portfolio of small and medium trust and foundation supporters, securing sustainable income for all aspects of The Brain Tumour Charity’s work in line with fundraising priorities. We are looking for an experienced trust fundraiser with a proven record of writing successful applications, achieving four and five figure sums and multi-year grants and stewarding these relationships. Loneliness is a major issue that is now widely recognised in society today, particularly amongst older people. By scheduling weekly calls from our trained volunteers, Age UK's National Telephone Friendship Service provides older people with a chance to make a new friend from the comfort of their home.
As a Friendship Coordinator, you will play a vital role in coordinating and supporting the thousands of matches between our members and volunteers across the UK. This role offers hybrid working between home and our offices in either Blackpool in Lancashire or Ashburton in Devon (a robust home broadband connection is essential). This means you would be expected to attend office a minimum of once every 3 months, although this can be more if you prefer. You may be asked to attend office more regularly than these minimum requirements. You will need to live within an easily commutable distance of the office either by car or public transport, we suggest up to 1hr 30mins commute.

THE ROLE
You'll deliver accessible homelessness prevention support in community settings across Kingston Upon Thames — helping people connect with services and support before they reach crisis point.
You'll build and strengthen partnerships with a wide range of local agencies, including the Housing Allocations team, CAB, food/energy poverty and debt management charities, legal advice, employment support, and community inclusion groups. You'll bring these services together at around 20 events a year, creating informal, welcoming spaces where clients can engage with the support on offer.
You'll also provide direct information, advice and guidance to around 100 clients a year, delivering swift, impactful interventions that reduce homelessness risk — advocating and mediating on their behalf as they navigate complex systems.

Key details
Hours: Part-time: 14 hours over 2 days - the postholder will need to work on Fridays and either Tuesday or Thursday. Fridays are in person at Anna Freud, London, during termtime. Usual working hours are Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00. Flexible working is possible.
Salary: £64,100 FTE per annum, plus 6% contributory pension scheme
Location: Hybrid (a mixture of home/onsite working): staff are working onsite for at least 20% of their working hours at Anna Freud, 4-8 Rodney Street, London N1 9JH. The postholder will also need to attend in person for any in-person teaching, team meetings as necessary.
