Job description

At the Vivensa Foundation, our vision is that everyone in the UK can age well. To achieve this, we invest in those with great ideas and methods for improving the health and well-being of older people – and in the connections and knowledge that help those ideas flourish.

In the spring of 2025 we launched our new Strategic Framework, which outlines our research priorities for the 2025-30 strategic period, as well as the values that underpin all of our work.

Today, with the UK’s population ageing and growing increasingly diverse, our charitable aims have never been more relevant. Against this backdrop, the opportunities to support our academic and clinical research community to make real systemic change are immense. We are the stewards of an endowment valued at over £200m and have committed to distributing at least £30m over the next five years in grant funding, alongside building a growing portfolio of social investments in support of our mission.

We now have a full-time, permanent vacancy for a grants management professional to help us to deliver our strategic plan. As a member of the Grants Team, reporting to the Senior Grants Manager, you will be a primary point-of-contact for those applying for funding for academic or clinical research, and play an important role in developing, implementing and evaluating our funding streams. As such, you will make key contributions to the development and delivery of our core services, reinforcing our reputation for funding high-quality work and our support for the research community.

We are looking for someone who shares our values and approach to grant-making. If you’re interested in using your grants management experience to support our work, have great attention to detail, and the flexible “can-do” attitude and restless curiosity essential to the success of a small, expert team, we'd love to hear from you.

To arrange an informal conversation about the role and/or find out more about us, please get in touch via the contact details on our "Contact us" page.
