This is a great opportunity for an Events Fundraising Manager to take responsibility for the planning, marketing and delivering the 2027 TCS London Marathon and oversee the delivery the Challenge Events programme, including London Landmarks, Superhero Tri and Royal Parks Half Marathon, at Whizz Kidz. The role aims to grow and retain participants and strengthen our event offering to meet ambitious targets.

 We are looking for someone to lead on our supporter experience to highlight impact and create brand loyalty. This role line manages two and works closely with the Head of team to generate income to support young wheelchair users.

Key accountabilities

• Lead on the delivering the London Marathon for 2027, with the aim to deliver first class supporter care, from recruitment to post-event evaluation.

• Oversee the delivery of the London Marathon stewardship journey, including email journey, Facebook group and WhatsApp strategic comms plan, and lead on webinars and hybrid stewardship events

• Implement and drive the Challenge Event strategy forward, diversifying our portfolio, increase income and brand awareness

• Oversee implementation of our new event offering for 2026, including the Superhero Tri and Royal Parks Half Marathon, including recruitment and strategic stewardship plans

We have a new 12‑month fixed‑term opportunity to join our Greater Manchester Good Landlord Charter/Landlord Support Hub team as a Research and Evaluation Manager.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

• Lead the project’s research and evaluation activities, including insight gathering, participatory research, and continuous testing of behavioural or supportive interventions.
• Design and evaluate behavioural interventions, assessing impact, outcomes and what works to inform future policy and operational practice.
• Collaborate closely with the Behavioural Insight Specialist and Landlord Support Manager, ensuring research is rigorous, ethical, and generates meaningful learning.
• Engage landlords, tenants, letting agents, and local authorities to gather data, understand barriers to compliance, and capture lived experience.
• Produce high‑quality reporting, including findings, recommendations, and insights to support both internal decision‑making and external stakeholders such as GMCA and the Nationwide Foundation.
• Represent the Research & Evaluation function at meetings, workshops and advisory groups, contributing to the wider aims of improving standards across the private rented sector.

To be considered for this role, you must be able to demonstrate:

• Strong experience in research, evaluation or insight‑gathering, ideally within housing, social policy, behavioural insights or community‑focused projects.
• Ability to design and apply research methods, including interviews, behavioural diagnosis, qualitative and/or quantitative analysis.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills, able to turn complex insights into clear recommendations.
• Confidence managing relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders.

While the Senior Philanthropy Manager’s primary focus will be generating income from a warm portfolio of major donors, they will also take strategic ownership of War Child’s high-value philanthropy events, shaping donor engagement rather than delivering events operationally. We are looking for an ambitious, experienced and passionate Chief Financial & Operations Officer (CFOO) to join The Lifescape Project, leading the evolution, management and delivery of our financial and operational capacities as the organisation grows.

Our impact as a charity depends on excellent financial management and the efficient provision of supporting operational structures, policies and ways of working. As the organisation grows and diversifies, we need a dedicated Chief Financial and Operations Officer to lead the management and development of these critical functions in close liaison with the CEO. The CFOO will be second in command to the CEO and a key member of the Management Team.

We are a small and quickly growing UK-registered charity whose mission is to protect and restore wild, natural landscapes. We use the skills and expertise of our multi-disciplinary team (spanning science, law, economics, technology and culture) to develop projects that pursue this mission.

We use the approach of combining disciplines to design and deliver our work because the biodiversity crisis is driven and impacted by social, economic, legal and other complex factors. Our annual revenue has increased from £265,000 in FY 2020/2021 to £1.2m in FY 2024/2025, with further growth expected in the current FY. Our team has grown from just one to a team which will number 20 at the time of the successful CFOO candidate joining. This growth to date and planned future growth requires constant evolution of our financial and operational infrastructure and an experienced hand to guide this process, which is the core purpose of the CFOO role we are seeking to appoint.

We are excited to be hiring for this role, which will be transformational for the organisation, allowing us to develop our approach to financial and operational matters and support the continued growth of our team and impact. The role will act as second in command and will deputise for the CEO when absent. We are therefore looking for a highly capable and experienced finance and operations leader with the vision to ensure that we continue to grow in a sustainable, effective and efficient way.

We currently have a full-time manager and officer in our Finance and Operations team (F&O Team), which the CFOO will be joining to oversee, develop and guide all relevant functions. With the small size of the team at this time, the CFOO will be expected to jump into the detail in some areas. In the short term this will include delivering some of the more complex areas of the F&O team’s work, such as the audit process, multi-year financial planning and legal compliance, with support from other team members and external advisers as appropriate. If we continue to succeed in delivering our growth strategy, the role will progress over the medium term with increasing team size/supervisory duties and reducing involvement in immediate implementation. Remuneration would also increase in line with growth and assuming strong performance in the role.

Taking responsibility for the high-quality delivery of the session, leading activities from the front, delegating tasks to and managing a supporting volunteer if appropriate. The lead facilitator will endeavor to involve everyone present in the session, be responsible for ensuring that InCommon’s safeguarding procedures are followed and that any incidents are handled appropriately. 

Building and maintaining strong relationships with people of all ages 

Using your excellent communication skills you’ll build strong relationships with everyone taking part in an InCommon programme, from children and older people to primary school teachers and staff working at retirement homes. This role may involve communication before and after the session with parties taking part; where this is the case it will be clearly communicated by the Senior Programme Manager.

• Engage a roomful of people over fun, creative and conversation-based activities

Role Purpose 

This is a new role. Stand-by-me is seeking an experienced Director to effectively lead and manage the organisation. · Manage and coordinate research projects and feasibility studies including budgeting, resourcing, scheduling, tracking and ensuring quality assurance.

2. Income Generation and Financial Management:

· Conduct a rapid, comprehensive review of existing fundraising activities and identify opportunities for growth and diversification.

· Develop and implement a short and long-term fundraising strategy to maximise income generation.

· Monitor and report on grants and funding.

· Lead and motivate our volunteer community fundraising team providing guidance and support to achieve specified targets.

· Cultivate and strengthen relationships with major donors, trusts, foundations, patronage, and corporate partners.

· Explore and develop new fundraising streams, including regular giving, digital fundraising, innovative partnerships and legacies.

· Working with the team, develop compelling funding proposals and grant applications.

· Improve fundraising reporting and analysis to track performance and inform decision-making.

3. Operational Management:

· Provide effective line management to the team and volunteers to foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

· Effectively delegate tasks to team members including promoting self organisation.

· Work with the Finance Trustee to oversee financial management, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and best practices for budgeting.

· Manage risk and ensure the charity's compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

· Represent the charity to external stakeholders, building and maintaining positive relationships.

· Ensure effective communication and engagement with staff, volunteers, and beneficiaries.

· Work with Safeguarding Trustee and external Supervisors on any clinical or safeguarding issues as they arise.

· Conduct annual appraisals to monitor and evaluate staff performance.

4. Board Engagement/Governance:

· Act as the primary point of contact between the Board of Trustees.

· Provide regular updates to the Board on organisational performance including operational and strategic matters.

· Ensure the organisation’s compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies to support the Board in its governance role by providing advice and information as needed.

· Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between the Trustee Board, staff and volunteers.

Job Title: Regional Fundraising Area Manager

Location: Home Based covering the North of England, with frequent travel around the region and the UK including our London office and Teenage Cancer Trust units. 

You will be required to attend fundraising events which may take place in the evenings and/or weekends and may occasionally be in areas with limited public transport options therefore we ask that applicants have access to a vehicle and a valid UK driving licence.

Key Responsibilities

Service Leadership & Oversight

• Provide operational oversight of Make 2nds Count’s support services, ensuring high-quality, consistent delivery.

• Embed clear processes, boundaries and decision-making routes across support activities.

• Monitor service activity, risks and capacity, escalating issues appropriately.

Safeguarding, Risk & Quality

• Act as the operational safeguarding lead for support services.

• Ensure safeguarding, incident reporting and crisis procedures are embedded, understood and followed.

• Support a culture of emotional safety and reflective practice.

Team & Volunteer Support

• Line manage and support staff within the support team.

• Work with the Director of Research & Programmes to ensure appropriate supervision structures are in place.

• Support volunteers and facilitators through clear guidance, training pathways and escalation routes.

Planning & Collaboration

• Contribute to service planning, improvement and prioritisation.

• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the charity, including fundraising and communications, to ensure joined-up delivery.

• Support the evaluation and development of services based on insight and learning.

About You

Essential

• Experience managing or coordinating support, community or health-related services.

• Strong understanding of safeguarding in sensitive or high-risk environments.

• Experience supporting staff or volunteers in emotionally demanding roles.

• Ability to bring structure, clarity and consistency to complex service delivery.

• Confident communicator, able to navigate sensitive conversations with care.

• Comfortable working remotely and managing your own workload.

Desirable

• Experience in cancer, health, mental health or lived-experience-led services.

• Knowledge of governance, data protection and information management.

• Experience working in a small charity or resource-constrained environment.

• Understanding of trauma-informed or compassionate practice.
