Job Title: Female Recovery Worker

The role
The Finance Business Partner role works closely with other members of the Finance team and in particular business partnering with colleagues from Venue Sales and Development. The role will focus on community growing through the cultivation of fruits, vegetables and herbs alongside practical delivery to groups and individuals to help develop skills, confidence and knowledge needed to create and champion wildlife-friendly spaces within their own communities across the Island. You will bring a strong understanding of the needs, perceptions and engagement barriers faced by African, Caribbean and Arabic-speaking communities experiencing mental health difficulties, including those who may be disengaged from services. You will have experience working directly with these communities, using co-production approaches that respect cultural needs and enable meaningful involvement and feedback. You will be confident managing services within budget, promoting equality, diversity and inclusion, and representing the organisation positively at external events through presentations and promotional activity. You will have excellent knowledge of mental health conditions, including signs, symptoms and treatments, with the ability to assess deteriorating mental health and take appropriate action. A strong working knowledge of housing, community care, mental health, health and safety, and welfare benefits legislation is essential, alongside the ability to use computer systems to produce accurate reports and monitor the quality of staff record-keeping to a high standard.

Wintercomfort works with people who are homeless, at risk of homelessness or with a history of homelessness. We provide services to aid every stage of recovery - from immediate basic welfare needs to long term help in identifying and dealing with the problems which are undermining their stability, and enabling them to engage with education, employment and specialist health services. National statistics rank the numbers of rough sleepers in Cambridge within the highest 20 UK local authorities.
Wintercomfort is the only day-time service in the city, providing year-round advice and support for homeless or vulnerably housed people. Over the past three decades Wintercomfort has continued to grow and adapt to meet the needs of the homeless community.
Our specialist Housing Team provides expert advice and support to help people successfully navigate the search for housing and crucially, support them to sustain life away from the street.
About you and the Role
The Tenancy Sustainment Project Worker will provide targeted, practical and relational support to individuals who have recently secured accommodation or who are at risk of losing their tenancy. This is an outreach-focused role, working proactively with people in community settings, partner agencies, drop-ins and other accessible locations to maintain engagement and offer support where it is most appropriate.
The role may occasionally involve contact in or around accommodation settings, but this would usually be planned and supported alongside other services where appropriate. The role will focus on preventing repeat homelessness by helping people stabilise their housing, understand and manage the responsibilities of a tenancy, and build the confidence and skills needed for independent living. Working in trusted community settings and in partnership with statutory and voluntary sector services, the postholder will act as a critical bridge between vulnerable individuals and the support systems available to them.

Job Purpose:
The Information Security and Data Protection Coordinator supports MSF UK and Ireland in the effective coordination and day‑to‑day operation of its information security and data protection arrangements. The role focuses on maintaining key records, documentation and processes that underpin compliance with data protection legislation and good information security practice, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR).
Working within the Transparency and Accountability (T&A) Team, the role supports the development and ongoing operation of MSF UK and Ireland’s information security and data protection framework by liaising with colleagues in IT, Procurement and other departments, and by supporting designated risk owners. The role provides practical coordination and advice to help ensure that appropriate technical and organisational measures are documented, reviewed and applied in a way that meets operational needs and regulatory requirements.
