The Belay Foundation supports adoptive, kinship and special guardianship families raising children who have experienced early developmental trauma, often alongside neurodiversity. Working closely with our Chief Executive Officer, you'll lead our communications, marketing and stakeholder engagement activity, helping more families discover our services while supporting fundraising, partnerships and organisational growth. This is a home-based role for two days per week (0.4 FTE), offering flexibility alongside the opportunity to shape a growing national charity. Background Information and Purpose of Post

The main purpose of the post is to:
· Focus on the delivery of HI UK's media and communications strategy, supporting fundraising and brand awareness objectives.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
Media relations
· Work alongside the Media and Communications Manager to develop and deliver a targeted media and communications strategy that supports fundraising and brand awareness goals.

· Proactively identify and pitch story and interview opportunities to secure coverage.
· Draft and distribute press releases, statements and reactive lines, including during breaking news and emergencies.

· Actively contribute to HI UK's communications planning and editorial calendar.
