Joining the organisation in its 70th anniversary year, the new Chief Executive Officer will provide inspiring, person-centred leadership to their committed teams and volunteers.

They will work closely with members, partners, and stakeholders to influence policy, behaviour, and public understanding of road safety, while applying strategic and commercial expertise to secure long-term financial sustainability, diversify income, and maximise charitable impact.

We are seeking a proven senior leader, ideally from a membership, not-for-profit, or service-led organisation. Knowledge of the road safety or transport sector is desirable but not essential. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of delivering commercially sustainable growth, sound financial stewardship, and influencing policy, government, or regulatory stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

• Ensure financial sustainability through budgeting, forecasting, risk management, and investment planning.
• Lead the development and delivery of the strategic plan with the Board.
• Drive growth across membership, training, fundraising, and commercial activities, including partnerships and sponsorships.
• Enhance the organisation’s influence, visibility, and impact in road safety and driver/rider training.

The Role of Diocesan Housing Surveyor

We are looking for someone who can work alongside the Diocesan Property Manager, and Property Officer, to assist in the management of the Clergy Housing stock comprising of 160 houses across Coventry and Warwickshire.

The main responsibilities of the of Diocesan Housing Surveyor

 are:

• Inspect Clergy houses and assess repairs and improvements necessary in compliance with Coventry Diocese Clergy Housing Standards.
• Implement the recommendations of the property reports.
• Arrange property inspections and implement the required works with the agreement of the Property Manager.
• Arrange stock condition surveys.
• Address reactive repairs and ensure works are undertaken and completed in accordance with the Housing Standards.
• Prepare schedules of work and cost budgets, agree these with the Property Manager before tendering to approved contractors.

What we are looking for in a Diocesan Housing Surveyor:

· Driving Licence with access to own car

· Previous experience of managing small works contracts

· Working knowledge of residential building defects and their resolution

Communications Officer

Location: Home-based in the UK, within 90 minutes travel of Central London, with occasional national and international travel

Overall purpose of role

As the WeProtect Global Alliance Communications Officer, you will:

Support the development and delivery of WeProtect Global Alliance’s communications and marketing activity, ensuring clear, consistent and engaging messaging that strengthens the Alliance’s visibility, credibility and impact globally.

Reporting to the Head of Communications, you will deliver high-quality digital, editorial and marketing outputs across multiple channels, including through our website, social media, newsletters, campaigns and events. Key responsibilities

Communications planning & delivery

· Support the Head of Communications to implement the Alliance’s communications strategy.

· Contribute to communications planning and communications calendar for organisational priorities, including policy outputs, research, events and member initiatives.

· Ensure a consistent pipeline of integrated communications activities

· Ensure consistent messaging aligned with WeProtect Global Alliance’s brand, values and strategic objectives.

Digital channels & content management

· Maintain and update the Alliance’s website, ensuring content is accurate, accessible and up to date, including member resources and publications.

· Manage the Alliance’s social media channels, monitoring activity and working with the Members Team to ensure a steady stream of high-quality content.

· Draft, edit and publish blogs, news items and digital content for diverse global audiences.

Marketing, campaigns & engagement

· Support the delivery of digital marketing campaigns to promote Alliance initiatives, outputs and events.

· Develop project-specific communications plans in collaboration with colleagues to embed engagement and visibility.

· Promote Alliance members’ activities and successes, highlighting collaboration and collective impact.

Analytics, insight & reporting

· Track and analyse communications performance across channels, including website, social media and email.

· Use data to refine messaging, targeting and channel mix.

Media & external communications

· Support engagement with media and press, including drafting press materials and coordinating dissemination of Alliance outputs.

· Support the promotion of policy recommendations and research through owned and earned channels.

Member communications & collaboration

· Work with the Head of Members to integrate external communications with member engagement activity.

· Support delivery of member newsletters and targeted communications.

· Contribute content to member-only platforms and encourage discussion and participation.

Systems, data & process improvement

· Utilise communications tools such as content calendars, analytics dashboards and shared drives.

· Ensure GDPR-compliant data handling and document management.

· Support continuous improvement of communications processes and ways of working.

Governance & internal collaboration

· Prepare or contribute to briefings, summaries and communications materials for senior leaders and governance bodies.

· Contribute to annual planning, KPIs and impact measurement related to communications and engagement.

Contribute to WPGA operational processes and systems, working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver cross-functional projects that strengthen the reach and impact of the Secretariat.

Essential criteria

Experience

· Significant professional experience in communications, marketing or digital engagement.

· Proven experience producing content for different audiences and across multiple channels.

· Experience managing websites (WordPress) and social media platforms in a professional context.

· Experience tracking, analysing and reporting on communications performance.

· Experience working autonomously in a fast-paced environment to deliver a broad range of communications activities.

Skills

Job Title: Family Service Manager

Location: Based within HMP Altcourse, Fazakerley, Liverpool. Step Free access is available at this service. You may be expected to travel to other services as required, including to Central London Central Office and for in-person meetings held off site. 

Salary: £38,000

Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:00. You may be required to work outside these hours as per service and organisational requirements, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays and forming part of the out of hours on call rota for managers. 

About the Role

We are seeking a Family Service Manager to lead our flagship family service based in HMP Altcourse. This is an ideal opportunity if you are seeking a hands-on role within a prison setting, who is confident in working in complex environments and wants to create meaningful change within punitive systems. You will lead a multidisciplinary team who deliver high-quality, therapeutically informed, arts-based work with men in prison and their families. You will bring together creative group interventions, bespoke family counselling services, and day-to-day practical family support within a complex prison environment. 

As the Family Service Manager, you will lead a team of Programme Co-Ordinator's, Facilitators, Family Counsellors, a Deputy Service Manager, and other appropriate staff. The team deliver programmes such as Fathers Inside and Man Up which have received national recognition and have been delivered nationally across custodial and community settings. The role requires leadership experience, managing a diverse team, with line management responsibilities to support, enable, and empower your team to deliver high quality support to the participants of our programmes and their families. You will work closely with prison and Sodexo colleagues, as well as other internal SIG teams to ensure innovative, safe, and compassionate service delivery.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Line Management throughout the employee lifecycle embedding a culture of learning, development, reflection, and evaluation.
• Creative leadership of creating and delivering engaging high-quality services and interventions which support rehabilitation, reintegration, and culture shifts in systems of power and compliance.
• Manage day-to-day operational delivery of programmes, the service, and visitors centre.
• Ensure core responsibilities and contractual requirements are fulfilled.
• Striving to ensure excellence and quality in our service delivery.

About You

We're seeking a proactive leader, someone who has the ability to motivate and empower a team to drive excellence, both as individuals, and as a team, whilst providing practical solutions to challenges which arise. You will be knowledgeable of the criminal justice setting, and ideally have experience within a similar environment. We're looking for someone who can build rapport, trust, and create an environment which allows individuals to grow their skills and experience and develop as individuals. 

• Previous experience in facilitation of group programmes and/or training to various groups, ideally in a similar setting (preferably within a creative setting)
• Experience of working with and engaging with diverse groups of people from varying backgrounds
• Demonstratable experience in leading a service/team in a similar capacity.
• Ability to provide high quality support and line management to staff.
• Ability to motivate and empower a team to achieve KPI's
• Ability to promote the service externally to enhance reputation in the area and with partner organisations
• Ability to work flexibly to meet the demands and needs of the service. For example, Provide an emergency on call service as and when required in case of emergency
• IT proficiency - we use various systems so look for someone who can learn and navigate new systems including case management, Microsoft, ATS, HR systems, and other types of organisational software.
