Job description

About the role

We’re looking for a driven and relationship-focused Philanthropy Manager to join our Philanthropy and Partnerships team at an exciting moment of growth.

You’ll manage a portfolio of major donors while proactively building new relationships to secure five- and six-figure gifts. Working closely with senior colleagues and leadership, you’ll help unlock new networks and opportunities, playing a key role in delivering our fundraising ambitions.

About us

The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity exists to transform the lives of people affected by cancer. We fund world-leading research, state-of-the-art equipment and exceptional patient environments, ensuring The Royal Marsden can continue to deliver outstanding care and develop pioneering treatments used across the UK and beyond.

Following significant growth and the successful £70m Oak Cancer Centre appeal, we are now delivering our most ambitious strategy yet - raising at least £215m over five years, including a major new development in Chelsea.

About you

You’ll be a proactive and confident relationship manager with a passion for securing major gifts and delivering a donor-centric approach. You’ll be motivated by impact and excited to work with inspiring supporters and complex, high-value opportunities.

Why join us

This is a rare opportunity to join at a pivotal moment and play a central role in securing transformational gifts that advance cancer research and patient care. You’ll work with senior stakeholders and influential supporters, gaining exposure to high-value fundraising and strategic projects that will accelerate your development within an ambitious organisation.
