Our UK Programmes team is focused on supporting refugees in the UK to integrate and rebuild their lives. Employment is considered to be the most critical element of successful refugee integration. Over the last nine years we have built the Specialist Training and Employment Programme (STEP) to deliver high quality centred support, technical expertise, valued partnerships and outstanding outcomes. STEP provides a bespoke employment programme that addresses the complex barriers that refugees face when preparing for, and ultimately finding, work in the UK.

STEP supports refugees to develop the skills and identify the opportunities they need to secure sustainable employment.  We are now looking to recruit an Employment Advisor to provide an exemplary level of in-person and remote support to STEP clients in the Cambridge area. 

You will be working directly with refugee clients, providing high quality 1:1 advice and guidance to help them on their employment journey. You will prepare clients for competitive employment and help them to achieve their chosen training and employment objectives. You will work to a variety of performance targets based on the progression outcomes of clients such as successful completion of training courses, voluntary and work placements, and achieving and sustaining paid employment. 

About you

We are looking for candidates who have:

• Proven experience or knowledge within the employment sector
• Understanding of the issues and challenges faced by people who have experienced forced displacement accessing employment.
• Knowledge of adult learning/vocational training
• Experience of delivering 1:1 advice and guidance and coaching
• Experience of reviewing and supervising a case load of participants
• Awareness of Safeguarding people at risk and maintaining professional boundaries
• Experience facilitating group workshops

Position: S11352 Stroke Support Coordinator

Location: Home-based, Haringey. However, regular travel will be required as part of this role (will include team meetings or other work-related meetings)

The Role

Reporting to Service Delivery Coach, key responsibilities will include:

• Organise and facilitate effective service communication for the benefit of stroke survivors and carers in understanding and achieving their goals.
• Ensure that timely, confidential and accurate records are kept on the CRM data base and all data is in line with the retention policy and GDPR compliant.
• Develop and manage service volunteers to support service delivery for stroke survivors and carers as required.

About You

You will have experience in:

• Providing person centred support to empower vulnerable people or people with a disability or long-term health condition and their carers
• Nurturing emotional resilience needed to handle a variety of calls, potentially dealing with complex and challenging situations whilst working in your own home
• Effective listening skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a diverse audience including anyone experiencing communication difficulties via a combination of face-to-face visits or meetings, telephone calls, emails or letters, and digital methods (such as video calls)

Role specifics

Stewardship:

• Monitor and help deliver the multi channel supporter enquiries process, ensuring response rate is in line with CALM’s SLA and fundraisers are directed to the appropriate support.

• Proactively support fundraisers, when directed, throughout their journey, to support with the effective planning and delivery of supporter activities. 

• Support with the planning, set up and delivery of stewardship events (both CALM owned and supporter led), assisting with logistics, supporter communications and delivery as required. 

• Support the wider team in the development, optimisation, testing and ongoing maintenance of stewardship journeys, including carrying out key messaging updates to core email journeys across all Fundraising streams when needed.

• Support on the maintenance, optimisation  and creation of relevant pages on the CALM website.

• Support the fundraising and Marketing & Communications team to identify supporters we can profile and champion by regularly checking fundraising pages, social media and event registrations. 

• Support the Social Fundraising Manager with ad moderation where required

Operational and administrative support:

• Carry our regular, financial and administrative processes to a high standard with the Salesforce CRM

• Act as first point of contact for individual donors via email, phone and post, processing office donations and completing payment runs to the bank. 

• Support retention activities, including upgrade, reactivation and loyalty journeys.

• Provide administrative support for acquisition and retention campaigns

• When relevant coordinate mailing logistics (briefing agencies, checking proofs, managing print and fulfilment)

• Work with the Fundraising team to continuously update and maintain fundraising documentation, processes, templates and procedures, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency and supporter experience. 

• Support the teams with finding cost effective travel and hotels to support event delivery.

• Support the Head of Public Fundraising with month end financial reconciliation processes

• Identify and code income across various fundraising platforms.

• Preparing data and  uploading into CRM Salesforce, ensuring accuracy and quality are maintained by identifying improvements to process and working with the CRM team to deliver 

Fulfilment:

• Work with the Product team to maintain the supporter merchandise online portal, reporting on sales of merchandise and managing kit restock and reordering processes across fundraising.

• Act as the main point of contact for the relationship with our fulfilment partner, managing enquiries and escalation issues. 

• Oversee stock management, ensuring our supporter store availability reflects current stock levels and being responsible for co-ordinating timely restocking.

• Run daily checks of the supporter store to ensure order fulfilment can be carried out.

Who we are: Brake is the national, acclaimed charity delivering the National Road Victim Service, a specialist, accredited, UK-wide support service for road victims, delivering case-managed care for anyone who has been bereaved or seriously injured in a road crash or who is supporting a road crash victim.

Who you are: We need energised and resilient self-starters with experience in supporting traumatic grief and post-traumatic stress. a background in providing high-quality emotional support and advocacy. Experience in the following sectors often provides a robust toolkit of high-level transferable skills: Police or criminal justice roles, family liaison, counselling or trauma support, health and social care, casework in any related field

Specifically seeking candidates with:

- Experience with people affected by trauma, sudden bereavement, or serious injury

- Understanding of trauma-informed practice and ability to provide support sensitively

ABOUT THE ROLE

Animal Equality’s campaigns have driven Parliamentary debates, legal victories, policy shifts, corporate commitments, mainstream media coverage, and inspired thousands of individuals to change their diets.

We are seeking a creative, driven, and strategic Campaigns Coordinator to deliver our current high-impact campaigns with a view to exposing the cruel animal agriculture industries, influencing decision-makers, and mobilising the public to create lasting change for farmed animals.

Working closely with team members, the Campaigns Coordinator will design and deliver imaginative campaigns while working in alignment with the organisation’s wider mission: to end factory farming. The role requires initiative, creativity, tenacity, and a solutions-focused mindset, as well as the discipline to execute projects effectively and professionally.

The Campaigns Coordinator will report to the Executive Director and work closely with others across our UK and international teams. The appointee will play a key role in coordinating and inspiring volunteers and external stakeholders.

The Campaigns Coordinator will have opportunities to travel across the UK and internationally to organise and lead peaceful demonstrations, ensuring Animal Equality maintains a visible, strategic, and compelling presence at key decision-making moments. While not common, occasional evening or weekend work may be necessary to support campaigning activities. Any additional hours worked and agreed with your Manager can be reclaimed as TOIL.

ABOUT YOU

You must have a minimum of three years’ experience in campaigning, advocacy, or directly related fields, with a proven ability to design and deliver successful campaigns.

About the role:

We are looking to appoint a Family Support Worker on a full-time basis (35 hours per week), to deliver a high-quality family support service as part of our Greater Manchester Care Team.

Reporting to the Family Support Manager of the Greater Manchester Care Team and working in partnership with health, education and social care professionals, you will take responsibility for providing needs-led emotional, social and practical support to families where a child/young person has a life threatening or terminal illness.

Having worked in a demanding and emotional environment you have a genuine interest in building supportive relationships and helping people; and having provided bereavement support to families, you understand processes of grief, loss and change - and how best to help others deal with its impact.

· An experienced child health, education or social care professional - applications will be particularly welcome from those who have worked in a community environment and those with a recognised qualification in education, health or social care
