We are looking for an experienced individual to join our small, friendly and dedicated team to lead ILPA’s content and communications work. The successful candidate will be working collaboratively across the organisation to deliver a high-quality service to our passionate and committed members, and producing and disseminating ILPA’s internal and external communications through all available channels. This position would suit a self-motivated individual who is committed to our charitable objectives, and wants to help further them by: developing and executing our content and communications strategy; managing and improving our website; editing our weekly update to members; maintaining our crucial online archive of updates, documents, and data; and developing and executing our media strategy.

About the role:

About you:
You will be a finance professional with significant experience in either commercial or NGO environments, including preparation of business planning in complex scenarios and multiple currencies. You should be curious and risk aware, with strong analytical and evaluation skills, the ability to gather information from diverse sources tactfully and convert findings into detailed, actionable solutions. You will be a strong communicator over a range of mediums, able to engage stakeholders from varied backgrounds in a clear and constructive way. Major Giving at Friends of the Earth is looking for a new Trusts and Grants Manager, to set the strategic direction of the team and give dynamic and thoughtful leadership to the trusts and foundations portfolio.
The Trusts team is well-established and experienced, and this is great time to take the team forward and take ownership of a varied pipeline of funders. The Major Giving team is made up of corporate partnerships, philanthropy and trusts and raises £6 million a year from our partners, funders and donors. It is part of the Income Generation directorate, which includes Individual Giving, Organisational Insight and Supporter Relations.
Working closely with all areas of the organisation, we match high-net-worth individuals, funders and partners to our projects and campaigns and motivate them to give significant gifts to Friends of the Earth.
The Major Giving team is ambitious, well-established, dynamic, and collaborative, with each income stream working closely on projects, events and proposals to ensure donors are stewarded in the most effective ways.

The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award Foundation is partnering exclusively with Robertson Bell to recruit a Finance Manager on a permanent, part-time basis (21 hours per week). This is an outstanding opportunity to join a globally respected charity at an exciting point in its evolution, taking ownership of core finance operations whilst helping strengthen the financial foundations of an organisation that empowers millions of young people across the world.
Joining during a period of positive organisational change, the Finance Manager will play a key role in a finance function that is evolving beyond traditional reporting to provide greater insight and support across the organisation and its global network of Award Operators. Working closely with the Head of Finance and Business Information, you'll have genuine ownership of the month-end process, lead a small finance team and drive continuous improvements, while also having opportunities to contribute to wider organisational initiatives that directly support young people around the world.

This is a permanent, part-time opportunity working 21 hours per week, with flexibility to spread these across either three full days or shorter hours across the week. The role is based in London, operating on a hybrid basis.
