St Peter’s Hospice are looking to recruit a Band 6 Nurse or Health Care Professional to join our Hospice at Home team, providing specialist end‑of‑life care across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire.

About the role

As a Band 6 clinician within our Hospice at Home service, you will work autonomously in patients' homes, providing high‑quality clinical, practical and emotional support to individuals in the last four weeks of life and to their families.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Visiting patients to review symptom control and assess care needs
• Providing expert end‑of‑life care advice and support
• Undertaking remote assessments where needed to prioritise care safely
• Working closely with community and primary care teams to ensure timely, coordinated responses
• Collaborating with CHC and other hospice teams, with access to senior nurse and medic advice
• Supporting a caseload that increasingly includes both malignant and non‑malignant conditions, reflecting community frailty and long‑term health needs

As a Band 6, you will act as a clinical lead and role model for a large team of Senior Palliative Care Support Workers, offering clinical supervision and supporting them in work that can be emotionally demanding.

This is a rewarding yet challenging role, requiring confidence, resilience and a strong background in community and end‑of‑life care.

About the person

We are looking for a clinician who is:

Experience in remote assessment is desirable.

The Prospect Researcher plays a key role in supporting high-value fundraising efforts by identifying, analysing, and prioritising potential donors, trusts, and foundations aligned with the Charity’s mission. Through in-depth research and insight generation, the post holder will build a strong, actionable pipeline of prospects, enabling personalised engagement strategies for the Philanthropy Team. Working collaboratively across the Engagement Team, the Prospect Researcher will provide intelligence that shapes cultivation plans, provides insights that supports strategic conversations at events, monitors giving trends, and ensures all prospect activity is data-informed, ethical, and compliant. This role is vital to driving sustainable income growth and deepening the Charity’s reach within the philanthropic community.

Prospect Identification and Research 

• Conduct thorough research to identify and profile potential high-value donors, trusts, and foundations aligned with the charity’s mission and appeal goals.
• Use a range of tools, databases, and resources to gather information on prospects, including their giving capacity, interests, and philanthropic history.
• Prioritise prospects based on their potential value, affinity, and likelihood to engage with the charity.

Intelligence Gathering and Analysis

• Analyse research findings to produce detailed and actionable prospect profiles for use by the Philanthropy Team.
• Provide insights into donor motivations and interests to support personalised cultivation strategies.

Pipeline Management 

• Support the development and maintenance of a robust prospect pipeline, ensuring it aligns with the income targets and timelines of the capital appeal and core funding opportunities.
• Work closely with the rest of the Relationship Engagement Team to prioritise prospects and support with research required for cultivation activities.
• Track and update prospect records in the charity’s CRM system, Microsoft Dynamics, to ensure accuracy and accessibility.

Ethical Research and Compliance 

• Ensure all research is conducted ethically, legally, and in line with data protection regulations and best practices.
• Maintain confidentiality and sensitivity when handling donor and prospect information.

Collaboration and Reporting

• Collaborate with fundraising colleagues to share insights and ensure a coordinated approach to donor cultivation.
• Prepare regular reports on research activities, prospect pipeline status, and key insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Support the Relationship Engagement Team with ad hoc research needs, such as preparation for donor meetings or events.

Knowledge and Expereince 

• Proven experience in prospect research, fundraising, or a related field, preferably in the charity sector.
• Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesise large amounts of information into clear and actionable insights.
• Proficiency in using research tools, databases, and online resources to identify and evaluate prospects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.

About Tiphereth

Tiphereth is a Camphill community in Edinburgh providing residential care and day services for adults with learning disabilities and autism. We are part of the wider Camphill movement, which emphasises intentional community living, meaningful work and shared life between people with and without support needs.

Our community brings together over 200 people with our members, staff, vocational co-worker and volunteers across residential homes, supported living services and vibrant day services. We operate craft workshops, horticulture programmes, a pop-up shop and participate in local markets. Role’s Primary Objective

The Fundraising (and associated marketing development) Manager is a senior leadership position, reporting directly to the CEO and sitting alongside other senior managers on the Senior Management Team. This is a newly created role with significant scope to shape Tiphereth's external engagement and income generation strategy.

In Year One, you will be hands-on across the full breadth of fundraising and marketing activity, building the infrastructure, strategy and relationships needed for long-term success. From Year Two onwards, you will have the opportunity to recruit and develop a small team covering marketing and communications, community fundraising, and grant and trust applications.

This role requires someone who can operate strategically whilst also delivering at pace. You will need to be equally comfortable presenting to the Board as you are drafting a grant application or stewarding a major donor. Above all, you will need to connect authentically with our ethos and be able to communicate the distinctive value of Camphill community life to diverse audiences.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership

• Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising and marketing strategy aligned with Tiphereth's Five-Year Plan and organisational values

• Work towards strategic income targets including a minimum £250,000 in major donor engagement over five years and increasing non-government income to 10% of total revenue

• Identify, develop and secure new fundraising opportunities to maximise income potential and expand Tiphereth's supporter base

• Provide strategic advice to the CEO and Board on fundraising trends, opportunities and risks

• Build business cases for capital projects and new initiatives requiring external funding

2. Major Gifts and Philanthropy

• Identify, cultivate and steward a portfolio of high-net-worth individuals and family foundations with capacity to make transformative gifts

• Develop compelling cases for support and funding proposals for capital projects and programme development

• Build and maintain long-term relationships with donors, ensuring exceptional stewardship and regular impact reporting

• Support the CEO and trustees in their donor engagement activities, preparing briefings and facilitating introductions

• Maximise tax-efficient giving through Gift Aid and other mechanisms

3. Grants and Trusts

• Research and develop a pipeline of grant-making trusts and foundations aligned with Tiphereth's work

• Write and submit high-quality funding applications, working collaboratively with service managers to develop project proposals

• Maintain accurate records of applications, outcomes and reporting requirements

• Build relationships with programme officers and foundation staff to strengthen future applications

4. Marketing and Communications

• Lead the development and implementation of Tiphereth's marketing and communications strategy

• Oversee brand management, ensuring consistent and compelling messaging across all channels, including timely responses to donors and interested parties

• Develop engaging content including the Annual Impact Report, newsletters, social media and website

• Champion digital fundraising initiatives and enhance supporter journeys to improve engagement and retention

• Raise Tiphereth's profile through media engagement, events and participation in sector networks

5. Community Fundraising and Events

• Develop and grow community fundraising income including individual giving, regular giving and legacy programmes

• Plan and deliver fundraising events and supporter engagement activities that reflect Tiphereth's values

• Support and coordinate third-party fundraising by community supporters

• Explore corporate partnership opportunities aligned with our ethos

6. Team Development and Management

• Build the case for and recruit specialist roles in marketing, community fundraising and grant-writing as capacity grows (from Year Two)

• Lead, manage and develop team members, fostering a high-performing, collaborative culture

Main Responsibilities

Working as the Head of People & Culture for Citizens UK, reporting to the Executive Director, Finance & Operations, your main responsibilities will include:

People & Culture Strategy

Ensure Citizens UK has the people, capability and organisational shape required to deliver its mission and sustain impact over time.

· Analyse organisational strategy, change priorities and external context to identify their implications for people, capability, structure and ways of working.

· Carry out workforce planning to assess current and future capacity and capability, identifying gaps, risks and realistic options to address them.

· Develop, maintain and refresh the People & Culture strategy so it responds directly to organisational needs and provides clear priorities for action.

· Provide expert people and culture advice to the Executive Leadership Team and Board, informing strategic discussions, trade-offs and decisions.

Talent Management

Develop and implement talent management processes that ensure Citizens UK attracts, retains and sustains the people needed to deliver its work.

· Lead recruitment, selection and onboarding to bring in people who can perform effectively in their roles and are aligned with Citizens UK’s values.

· Develop and maintain retention approaches focused on the key drivers of retention, including meaningful work, effective management, development opportunities, wellbeing, inclusion and fair treatment.

· Identify critical roles and critical talent and put in place practical succession and risk-mitigation plans, including knowledge transfer, handover planning and interim cover where needed.

· Monitor employee experience across the employment lifecycle, using insight from feedback and people data to improve people practices and ways of working.

Performance, Leadership & Capability

Strengthen organisational effectiveness by enabling teams to perform well, grow in capability and contribute consistently to shared goals.

· Maintain and operate performance management processes, including objective setting, regular feedback and reviews, ensuring that staff are clear on expectations and accountable for results.

· Promote Citizens UK’s values in everyday people practices, supporting managers to translate values into consistent behaviours, decision-making and ways of working.

· Design and operate staff engagement and feedback mechanisms, ensuring staff voice is heard, themes are analysed, and practical actions are taken in response.

· Develop and maintain wellbeing approaches that support psychological safety, healthy workload management, early resolution of concerns and sustainable working practices.

· Support constructive relationships with the Trade Union and enable effective consultation and dialogue on people-related matters. 

EDI & Safeguarding

Ensure Citizens UK is equitable, inclusive and safe for all by embedding fairness, care and accountability into how the organisation operates.

· Develop and implement Equity, Diversity and Inclusion priorities, using clear measures to monitor progress, identify gaps and support accountability across the organisation.

· Embed EDI considerations into recruitment, progression, policy development and everyday people decisions, working closely with relevant colleagues to ensure consistency in practice.
