Job description

Summary

We're looking for an experienced Individual Giving Manager to play a key role in driving sustainable income growth through a portfolio of supporter fundraising products. This role sits at the heart of audience engagement and income generation, ensuring supporters have meaningful and effective ways to contribute to our mission. You'll combine strategic thinking, commercial awareness and customer insight to identify opportunities, strengthen performance and help shape future fundraising propositions that deliver long-term value.

Internally you’ll be known as Product Manager (Fundraising).

What it's like to work here

You'll join a collaborative and supportive fundraising team within a directorate focused on growing engagement, income and long-term supporter relationships. You'll be part of a culture that values partnership, innovation and shared success. We encourage curiosity, welcome fresh perspectives and create opportunities for people to contribute ideas that help us improve and evolve. Whether working with colleagues across the organisation or building relationships with external partners, you'll find a team committed to making a meaningful impact while supporting one another to do their best work.

As this is a national role, there is flexibility on your contractual place of work. Our hybrid working policy means you can balance office and home working with site visits and meetings at other National Trust places. We’ll talk about this in more detail at interview, but you should expect to be at a National Trust site for 40–60% of your working week.

What you'll be doing

You'll be responsible for leading and developing a portfolio of fundraising products, ensuring they continue to meet supporter needs while delivering strong and sustainable income performance. Using audience insight, market intelligence and sector trends, you'll identify opportunities to enhance existing products and develop new propositions that inspire support.

You'll monitor performance against agreed objectives, use data and analysis to inform decision-making, and evaluate results to identify future opportunities for growth. Working with a range of stakeholders, you'll help ensure fundraising products support wider organisational priorities and are positioned effectively for their target audiences. You'll also contribute to business planning and budgeting activities, oversee product-related income performance and ensure activity is delivered in line with relevant regulations, legislation and data requirements.

You can view the full role profile for this role in the document attached. You don't need to have all of the knowledge, skills and experience listed in the role profile; this is just to provide a full picture of what’s possible in this role.

Who we're looking for

  • Experience managing individual giving products in the not-for-profit sector – including supporter acquisition, stewardship, retention and renewal activity.
  • Strong project management experience delivering on time and in budget; resulting in growth of income, retention, audience etc.
  • Confidence and the ability to build relationships and networks with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels – understanding who to work with to get things done.
  • Experience influencing and collaborating across multiple stakeholders in different teams with different priorities and building consensus on next steps
  • Working in collaboration with a range of internal stakeholders to deliver supporter journeys, communications and collateral
  • A proactive problem solver, self-starter with a high level of energy and self-motivation, able to prioritize workload in a dynamic environment

The package

The National Trust has the motto ‘For everyone, for ever’ at its heart. We’re working hard to create an inclusive culture, where everyone feels they belong. It’s important that our people reflect and represent the diversity of the communities and audiences we serve. We welcome and value difference, so when we say we’re for everyone, we want everyone to be welcome in our teams too.

• Flexible working whenever possible

• Employee assistance programme
