About the role
This Operations & Administration Coordinator role is a diverse and hands-on role, covering a wide range of tasks and responsibilities that are essential to the smooth, efficient running of the organisation. It's a part-time position for three days (21 hours) a week.
You will provide day‑to‑day operational coordination across IT systems, office management, finance administration and HR processes, alongside varied administrative support. Acting as a central point of contact, you will work closely with colleagues, external suppliers and advisors to ensure our working environment, systems, policies and processes are practical, compliant and support staff to do their best work.
The role works with all staff and external suppliers, particularly the Resilience Strategy Lead, Finance Officer, CEO and external IT support providers.

About you

This role will play an important role in the successful planning and delivery of UUKi’s events, supporting activity in logistics, content, sponsorship, marketing and administration. The events will include in-person international conferences with over 300 delegates and high-profile speakers, to webinars and small roundtables.

The Fellowship and Administration Officer is the main point of contact for Society Fellows, applicants and general enquiries. They administer and update records in the Society’s CRM database and undertake financial and general office administration. They also support the delivery of the Society’s annual programme of in-person, online and hybrid events.
Main Responsibilities
- Acts as the main point of contact for Society Fellows, prospective Fellows and general enquiries by telephone, email, letters and in person
- Assists with application, Fellowship and subscription queries and Fellowship applications and sends welcome packs to new Fellows
- Administers and updates database records and provides reports from the database (for example, mailing lists for sending biannual newsletters and other printed items to Fellows)
- Assists the Finance Manager with financial administration relating to Fellowship, including standing orders, credit notes, direct debits and Gift Aid, renewals and various mailings
- Assists Fellows with website login access and event bookings
- Monitors the Society’s main email inboxes, responding to queries or forwarding to other colleagues as appropriate
- Produces the monthly Fellows e-newsletter and additional e-mailings as required
- Undertakes general office administration, including meeting room bookings, booking accommodation for Trustees, printing meeting papers and mailings

About the team
The Philanthropy Team raises income for Impetus and for Impetus partner charities. The team consists of 15 staff. Impetus has an annual income of c.£11 million which we are looking to grow significantly within the next few years. The team is led by the Director of Philanthropy and Partnerships.
The Philanthropy Team works with major donors, corporates and grant making trusts, as well as collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation to ensure we make a compelling case to generate new financial commitments and wider support for our work. About this role
This role is a 12‑month maternity cover, supporting an important phase of delivery and development within the Philanthropy team. The postholder will work closely with colleagues to maintain momentum in new business activity while contributing to strategic account management and stewardship.
The Head of Development is a senior role within the Philanthropy Team, with a primary focus on new business development. This includes identifying, cultivating and securing new funding relationships across trusts, foundations, corporates, co‑investment partners and high‑net‑worth individuals.
Alongside new business delivery, the role also provides strategic account management for a small portfolio of high-value partners, ensuring smooth transitions from acquisition into long term stewardship.
This role works alongside the Head of Philanthropy, with both roles contributing to the success of the Philanthropy Team. The Head of Philanthropy leads on deep stewardship and retention, while the Head of Development focusses on new income generation and building relationships with new funders and partners.
The postholder will work closely with the Director of Philanthropy & Partnerships, Philanthropy Directors as well as Senior Research and Insights Manager, contributing specialist expertise, strong delivery and sound judgement, while operating within agreed strategy and governance frameworks.
Key responsibilities:
New business development
- Support the Director of Philanthropy & Partnerships and Development Director on the development and delivery of the new business plan in line with the fundraising strategy
- Works with the Senior Research and Insights Manager to identify emerging funding trends, opportunities, market opportunities and best practice
- In collaboration with the Development Director and Growth and Insights Director, lead the delivery of agreed cultivation strategies for priority prospects, proactively progressing relationships from qualification through to solicitation and conversion, leveraging senior stakeholders, board members, donor advocates and wider networks
- Develop and deliver compelling cultivation strategies and tailored pitch plans for priority prospects, including designing and building new donor acquisition vehicles (e.g. committees, cultivation events and targeted communications), working collaboratively with colleagues across Impetus
- Lead and support high-level meetings, pitches and negotiations with prospective donors, positioning Impetus as a credible and strategic partner

The Huntington's Disease Association is a UK registered charity that supports people affected by Huntington's disease across England and Wales. We provide information, advice and support to families, friends, and healthcare professionals.
We are looking for three new team members to join our team of Specialist Huntington's Disease Advisers to support people affected by Huntington’s disease.
The roles available are:
• Bath, Somerset, Wiltshire, North & East Devon, Weston Supermare & Wiltshire Specialist Huntington’s Disease Adviser (part-time, 28 hours)
• East and South Yorkshire Specialist Huntington’s Disease Adviser (part-time, 21 hours)
• Surrey and South London Specialist Huntington’s Disease Adviser (part-time, 21 hours)
All roles available are home-based, but must be living in the area specified in the job title, as the job involves extensive travel within the region and occasional travel across England and Wales.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated person who is dedicated and committed to the welfare of families affected by Huntington’s disease, developing and improving the quality of care that they receive. You will need to have skills gained within a Health and Social Care profession. Your main responsibilities will be to offer help, information, advice, support and education to everyone affected by Huntington’s disease and professionals involved in supporting them.
All three vacancies are on a part-time permanent contract. Due to team-wide commitments, you must be available to work on Tuesdays. All other working days (in line with contracted hours) may be flexible around your individual needs and the needs of the role. Regular working pattern will be agreed with your line manager upon successful appointment.
