We're looking for a driven Direct Marketing Manager - Acquisition on a 12-month fixed term contract to lead our donor recruitment programme and inspire the UK public to support our life changing work for the first time.
This is a rare opportunity to shape the full acquisition journey across multiple channels while contributing directly to major emergency responses through Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) appeals.
This is a hands on role in a small, passionate team, with the space to innovate and directly influence our future supporter programme.
We offer hybrid working, with a minimum of one day a week in our London office (including one Thursday of the month for our Age International 'all-staff' days).

This flagship programme, delivered in partnership with TDS, GMCA and the Nationwide Foundation, uses action research and behavioural‑insight‑informed interventions to understand and reduce unintentional non‑compliance among private landlords, with the aim of improving renting standards and supporting people in housing need.
We have a new 12‑month fixed‑term opportunity to join our Greater Manchester Good Landlord Charter/Landlord Support Hub team as a Research and Evaluation Manager.
Some of the key responsibilities include:
- Lead the project’s research and evaluation activities, including insight gathering, participatory research, and continuous testing of behavioural or supportive interventions.
- Design and evaluate behavioural interventions, assessing impact, outcomes and what works to inform future policy and operational practice.

- Engage landlords, tenants, letting agents, and local authorities to gather data, understand barriers to compliance, and capture lived experience.

- Represent the Research & Evaluation function at meetings, workshops and advisory groups, contributing to the wider aims of improving standards across the private rented sector.
To be considered for this role, you must be able to demonstrate:
- Strong experience in research, evaluation or insight‑gathering, ideally within housing, social policy, behavioural insights or community‑focused projects.
- Ability to design and apply research methods, including interviews, behavioural diagnosis, qualitative and/or quantitative analysis.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills, able to turn complex insights into clear recommendations.

Overview
FearFree delivers services across the Southwest for victims, children and perpetrators of domestic abuse, sexual violence and stalking with the aim to break the cycle of abuse and support all to live free from fear. We provide trauma responsive support, and this post will be fundamental to ensuring service users, stakeholders and partners experience this in our daily delivery.
This exciting post will be working with children who have experienced or been affected by domestic abuse and sexual violence. Focusing on standard and medium risk cases, this role will provide practical and emotional support to children and young people, whilst working proactively with other professionals, with an emphasis on early intervention and awareness raising.
FearFree is committed to flexible and hybrid working and this role will be a mix of home based and office based, alongside requiring travel for multi-agency meetings and other deliverables.
This role may include evening and weekend work when required. It is fixed term until October 2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of low to high risk children and young people, predominantly through face to face appointments but also utilising virtual technologies and group work.
- Plan, recruit and deliver group work interventions for children and young people alongside colleagues.
- Complete an initial assessment of the child’s needs so that you can identify and plan the support needed to address issues and prevent any problems from escalating.
- Assess the needs of the child and devise appropriate support and safety plans with due regard to the dynamic nature of risk.
- Proactively engage with children and young people affected by DA/SV by providing therapeutic sessions tailed to their needs in where they are in their recovery journey.
- Risk assess and follow FearFree safety procedures to ensure personal safety and that of service users and other staff at all times.
- Actively support carers and parents in how to support their CYP affected by trauma. This may include working together to ensure the child is support at every stage in their recovery journey.
- Respond to emergencies and crises with a focus on the child’s wellbeing and safeguarding.
- Provide child-centred, trauma responsive support to all your cases taking in considering different learning needs, to empower the young person to make informed choices.
- Enable service users to participate in the design, delivery and evaluation of services.
- Keeping the child’s voice central to all support and decision making wherever possible: taking the time to talk through and work with the individual child’s understanding around safeguarding and why we need to share certain things.
- Act as duty officer, responding to incoming calls, logging referrals and making assigned outgoing calls, according to the duty rota.
- Work effectively within a multi-agency framework, consisting of the MARAC and local partnership responses to domestic abuse and sexual violence, in order to reduce the risk for service users and their families.
- Be proactive with your line manager to carry out periodic case reviews.
- Respect and value the diversity of the community in which the services work in, and recognise the needs and concerns of a diverse range of survivors ensuring the service is accessible to all.

About the role
As a Sessional Peer Support Team Leader within our Safe Haven service, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe, effective day‑to‑day running of the service. - Afternoon: You’re conducting high-quality one-to-ones with your line reports to support, coach, and develop the team, ensuring everyone has the tools and confidence to succeed.
- End of day: You’re working alongside the other manager to review and prioritise the number of cases the team are working through and drafting ideas for the teams next report to senior leaders.
Every day is different. One minute you’re reviewing a complex investigation to help decide next steps, the next you’re delivering a presentation to other teams to create awareness of fraud.

Responsible for the safe delivery and environment of the Osborne Centre (both Partners and staff) delivering a range of quality services for our Partners (service users) and ensuring that the management systems are in place and operational.
Qualification(s) Level: Applicants with Level(s) 5 Leadership & Management Social Care/ Education/ Health (particularly with adults with learning disabilities) or similar qualifications (including degree equivalents or better), are especially welcome however we will consider applicants with alternative qualifications and experience subject to expressly agreeing to upskill on the job and provided there is an evidentiary trail that can show evidence of a caring mentality and empathy with our service user group and or in a home care environment or other learning type institution.
Overall purpose:
To manage all aspects of the ‘Operations’ of Osborne Partnership and supporting the strategic development of the organisation alongside the Chief Executive to ensure a fully functional and operational service for the overall benefit of our Partners (service users) day learning and support development as per the Charities aims and objectives of Education, Skills Attainment, and Employability Skills for adults with learning disabilities.
To actively train and support Partners to gain independence skills, life skills, and other skills through a ‘mixed ability’ support service that includes supporting the training of Partners through formal qualifications (Entry level NVQ teaching & support), on the job training, and internal qualifications and benchmarks.
To ensure that the service is:
- Properly monitored and utilising an internal database for the recording of information (Storii);
- Delivered on the basis of an agreed organisational and service Scheme of Works/ Service Plan as well as Partner Individual Learning Plans (ILPs);
- Reviewing Partner progress on a quarterly basis showing ‘distance travelled’ by individual Partners;
- Serviced by managed, trained and motivated staff;
- Delivered under the highest standards of health & safety and safeguarding welfare for our Partners.
Role:
To develop, support and deliver the day to day operations of the Osborne Partnership, in partnership with other senior Managers, and Service Managers, with a particular focus on the quality agenda as it relates to Partner services, service development, benchmarking, and external accreditations. The role will ensure that Partner services are engaged in a cycle of continuous review and improvements and providing Service Managers with the tools and support to deliver the highest standards of service through building confidence and expertise, and identifying service and personal development training where appropriate.
Main Duties:
1. To support the development and best practice of all Osborne Partnership service areas to ensure relevant, meaningful, and objective focused delivery for Partners.
2. To work with the relevant Service Managers and Project Supoort Officers (PSOs) to review current service delivery and to provide an objective, supportive, but challenging voice in the development of services.
3. To benchmark Osborne Partnership services and delivery against similar services in the borough and wider afield.
4. Working with other senior managers, identify and action new service areas of delivery commensurate with the Osborne Partnership Memorandum and Articles of Association and subject to Partners consultation and approval.
5. To identify, research, and action plan frontline external accreditations that will provide a objectifiable list of outcomes that will support and benefit Partners; staff development; and the professional standing of the Osborne Partnership.
6. To support senior managers in the development and implementation of new policies and procedures as they may relate to updated legislation; new service provision; Partners welfare, safety and development; staff development and benefits; or any other relevant area of service.
7. To line manage (including appraisals) relevant Service Managers as leaders of services ensuring that they understand the concept of continuous improvement and are supporting Project Support Officers (PSOs) to do likewise.
8. To ensure that Service Managers have identified and developed service schemes of work, annual development training plans for Service Managers and their PSOs in line with continuous improvement principles and to ensure best practice activities for Partners.
9. To work with senior managers to identify and action activities/ services/ initiatives/ documents/ plans that will support the on-going professionalisation and modernisation agenda of the Osborne Partnership
10. To actively support other senior managers in the day to day delivery of the Osborne Centre service provision ensuring health and safety at work principles are adhered to; safeguarding of Partners is paramount; that staff are adequately prepped and prepared for delivery of their services; and that a professional service approach is adhered to at all times.
11. To be the primary development Officer of the Storri database as it relates to Osborne Partnership, information gathering (and mindful of GDPR), and Partmner journeys travelled in the service.
12. To identify personal development opportunities and requirements as dictated by the role.
13. Any other reasonable task as defined as a management role and directed from time to time by the Chief Executive.
14. To undergo training necessary in relation to the requirements of the post.
15. To undertake any other duties consistent with the overall purpose of the post within the competence of the post holder.

Role Purpose

Duties and responsibilities

Salary: £30,000 pro rata
Contract: 20 months, fixed term, starting March 2026
Hours: 2.5 days per week
Location: Home-based with regular travel across Bristol. Shared office space available in Bristol.
About the role
Every community deserves a park they can be proud of. Not just one that exists on a map, but one that feels safe, welcoming and cared for.
This new role sits at the heart of Bristol’s Nature Together project and is all about redefining what park quality really means. Not from behind a desk, but by working directly with communities to understand what matters most to them and turning that into practical, achievable change.
You will work alongside residents, community groups and Bristol City Council to co-create a way to define clear quality measures for local parks and translate them into realistic management plans. These plans will shape improvements on the ground and feed into the development of a Bristol-wide Quality Park Standard that can be used across the city and beyond.
This is a genuinely new role.You will help build the approach, test it, learn as you go and bring people with you.

What you will do
- Work with diverse communities to define what “quality” means for their local parks, making sure voices that are often excluded are actively included
- Design and facilitate workshops, surveys and conversations that help communities set priorities for their parks
- Work with Bristol City Council and local partners to turn those priorities into clear, deliverable management plans
- Build strong partnerships with council officers, community groups, volunteers and project partners
- Learn from similar work elsewhere and apply those insights locally
- Track progress against community-defined quality measures and share learning in accessible ways
- Support communities to build the skills, confidence and tools they need to keep shaping their parks beyond the life of the project
About you
You do not need to tick every box, but you should recognise yourself in most of these.
You are someone who:
- Has experience working with communities and partners in a collaborative, respectful way
- Is confident facilitating conversations with people from different backgrounds
- Understands co-design and co-production and has used these approaches in practice
- Can develop practical plans and keep projects moving forward
- Is organised, adaptable and comfortable working with some uncertainty
- Cares deeply about equality, accessibility and inclusion
- Believes parks matter and that communities should have real influence over them
Experience of monitoring, evaluation or reporting to funders is helpful but not essential.
