About you and the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Fundraising Officer to join our Partnerships and Engagement team. This is a brilliant opportunity to support a broad portfolio across income streams including Trusts and Foundations, Corporate Partnerships, and Major Donors.

You will play a crucial role in our fundraising efforts by leading prospect research to identify new funding opportunities to build a strong pipeline. You will support the Senior Partnership Manager and Philanthropy Manager to grow a portfolio of trusts, corporate partners and philanthropists. You will also be responsible for maintaining the CRM database (Beacon) and administrative tasks. This varied role is perfect for someone who enjoys building relationships and coordinating meaningful supporter engagement opportunities. You will work with colleagues across Chefs in Schools to gather compelling stories and impact data that demonstrate the difference our funders make.

Key responsibilities

• Lead prospect research to build a strong pipeline of trusts, corporates and major donors which align with our mission. This includes network mapping to identify existing connections and relationships.

• Act as the CRM champion for fundraising, ensuring all donor interactions and details are accurately recorded and updated.

• Support in developing and maintaining inspiring stewardship and engagement plans for funders and supporters.

• Provide events support; logistics, guestlist management and other duties where required.

• Prepare insightful briefings for the Senior Leadership Team ahead of key funder meetings.

• Work with the communications team to create engaging end of term/ annual reports for key funders and donors.

• Monitor sector trends and newly launched funding rounds to ensure we never miss an opportunity.

• Work with the finance team to process donations and Gift Aid declarations, ensuring thank-yous are sent out promptly.

• Pull regular financial and pipeline reports from the database to assist with team forecasting and planning.

• Provide warm supporter care as the first point of contact for public fundraising inquiries.

• Support the delivery of digital appeals, regular giving, and community fundraising initiatives.

Essential skills & experience

• You have at least 1–2 years of experience in a charity fundraising environment.

• You have interest and belief in our mission, to improve child health through improving food and food education in schools.

• You are an excellent writer and communicator with strong presentation and communication skills.

• You have experience of using CRM software.

• You have strong research skills and experience synthesizing complex information into succinct and accessible copy.

• You are highly organised and can juggle multiple deadlines while maintaining a sharp eye for detail.

• You are a natural relationship builder, comfortable interacting with a diverse range of stakeholders.

• You demonstrate self-motivation, flexibility and the ability to adapt to an ever-changing, growing organisation.

Desirable skills & experience

• Experience using tools like Canva or Mailchimp to create engaging fundraising content.

• Familiarity with fundraising regulations and data protection laws regarding donor privacy.

What success looks like

Within the first 12 to 18 months, success in this role is likely to include a comprehensive knowledge of our existing fundraising model and key funders, taking the lead in prospect research, leading on account management of restaurant partners, small to medium scale fundraising campaigns, and supporting with event organisation. You will also have gained a comprehensive knowledge of the organisational strategy and the wider school food system.

We are looking for an Advocacy & Campaigns Officer and Just Peace Coalition Coordinator to help deliver effective advocacy and campaigning, amplify the voices of Christian partners in the Middle East, and mobilise churches, supporters and decision-makers to create positive change.

Role Overview:

Working within the Programmes, Partnerships & Advocacy team and reporting to the Advocacy & Campaigns Manager, you will support research, campaign delivery, communications, church engagement and stakeholder relationships. Role: Habitats and Fisheries Campaign Officer

Contract: Permanent, Full Time

Location: Hybrid working. Cornwall or London office three days per week, home working two days per week.

Job Purpose

Oceana is looking for a talented and motivated campaign officer to join our team at a critical and exciting moment for our campaigns.

The role will support our Campaign Manager to deliver measurable progress to ensure the UK’s marine protected areas are fully protected from heavy industry such as industrial bottom trawling and dredging.  You will also be focused on delivering campaign actions aimed at ending overfishing, once and for all. You will help Oceana embed its role as a leading organisation in the marine NGO space in the UK, and drive forward bold campaign actions that inspire meaningful and long-lasting change. 

Eligible candidates should have some experience in campaigning, but we’re equally looking for passion, motivation and a drive to protect the ocean. You should be a self-starter, with a strong ability to work independently and as part of a small team.

The position will be hybrid, based three days per week (Tues-Thurs) in Oceana’s UK offices in Newquay, Cornwall or Paddington, London. Regular national, and occasional international, travel will be required to meet team members and stakeholders in geographically diverse locations, including Washington, Dc

Responsibilities 

• Support the delivery of Oceana’s campaigns on protecting marine habitats and ending overfishing, working with the campaign manager and other colleagues.
• Co-ordinate specific campaign actions within our Habitats and Overfishing campaigns, and draft campaign letters, assets and briefings as directed by the Campaign Manager.
• Commission and coordinate consultants to produce creative campaigning outputs, working closely with the rest of the team. 
• Support the development and delivery of engaging digital campaign actions, contributing to concept development and creating campaign actions through Engaging Networks and other digital platforms.
• Support the effective convening of diverse stakeholders, coordinating logistics, undertaking administrative tasks, and organising online and in-person meetings and events.
• Support public affairs engagement activities, including liaising with parliamentary offices, drafting correspondence and parliamentary questions, and attending stakeholder meetings.
• Monitor parliamentary activity across campaign areas and maintain accurate, up-to-date records within the parliamentary engagement database.
• Maintain a working knowledge of the political climate, and latest science and policy developments, around fisheries and marine habitat protection.

Candidate Requirements

   Education and work experience:

• At least two years of professional experience in campaigning or a related field.
• Experience supporting successful public campaigns that directly challenge policy makers. 
• Familiarity with marine and climate issues, regulations and policies in the UK, as well as with key institutions and decision-making processes. 
• Experience working with or coordinating NGO networks/coalitions on a campaign issue. 
• Degree-level qualification in any subject, or equivalent experience, with a demonstrated interest in campaigning, public affairs, communications, advocacy, or environmental issues (desirable but not essential).

   Skills and knowledge

• Strong written communication skills, including drafting briefings, correspondence and campaign materials.
• Research and analytical skills, including the ability to synthesise complex information and identify key insights.
• Understanding of UK parliamentary and political processes.
• Ability to confidently communicate campaign messages to a wide range of stakeholders. 
• Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills, and ability to work collaboratively with staff and other organisations.

Development Manager (Fundraising & Partnerships)

Reports to: Chief Executive Officer, working closely with the Programmes Lead and Finance & Governance Lead.

Hours: We anticipate appointing this role as a 2 days per week (0.4 FTE) employee.

However, we are also open to hearing from experienced freelance fundraising professionals who are interested in delivering an agreed programme of work on a consultancy basis, equivalent to approximately one day per week.

Salary: Employee: £27,000–£31,000 FTE (£10,800–£12,400 pro rata for 2 days/16 hours per week), depending on experience.

Consultancy: Day rate to be agreed, depending on experience and scope of work.

Location: Remote, with approximately two consecutive days per month at our office in Liverpool and occasional travel for meetings or events.

Contract: 24 month fixed term (with the intention to extend, subject to funding).

Worldwide Radiology is a UK registered charity working to improve access to high-quality diagnostic imaging in low- and middle-income countries.

This new role offers the opportunity to become Worldwide Radiology's dedicated fundraising lead, helping shape the next stage of the organisation's growth.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious fundraiser ready to take the next step in their career and take ownership of fundraising within a growing charity.

As Worldwide Radiology's dedicated fundraising professional, you will lead our day-to-day fundraising activity across community fundraising, individual giving and trusts and foundations. You'll be responsible for planning and delivering fundraising campaigns, stewarding donors and writing funding applications that help sustain and grow our work.

You'll also support the CEO and Programmes Lead in developing larger strategic partnerships with major funders and corporate partners through research, proposal coordination and pipeline management.

Unlike many early-career fundraising roles, this position offers genuine ownership from early on. You'll lead fundraising across your portfolio while working closely with colleagues who have experience securing grants and developing partnerships, giving you the support and mentoring to develop your skills and confidence.

While we expect to appoint a Development Manager on a part-time basis, we also recognise that an experienced fundraising consultant may bring a different but equally valuable skillset. You will take ownership of WWR's fundraising activity across your portfolio, working closely with the CEO while leading delivery day-to-day.

The Girls' Network is a national charity with a mission to inspire and empower girls from the least advantaged communities by connecting them with a network of professional women role models and volunteer mentors. Role Summary:

The Programme Development Officer is responsible for ensuring that The Girls' Network develops high-quality, consistent, and impactful programmes for girls and young women across all regions. Working closely with the colleagues in the Programme team, volunteers, and education establishments, the post-holder will support the development and continuous improvement of our mentoring, workshop, and ambassador offer. They will ensure that programmes are grounded in best practice and aligned to organisational strategy. Key responsibilities include leading programme quality assurance, developing resources, and delivering staff and volunteer training, while embedding learning from delivery to strengthen outcomes.

Alongside programme development duties, the post-holder will also be a member of the safeguarding team, acting as a Designated Safeguarding Officer (DSO). In this capacity, they will support the organisation's commitment to providing safe and inclusive programmes to girls and young women. This role involves supporting delivery staff on day-to-day safeguarding issues, refining policies as required, carrying out risk assessments, and auditing procedures to guarantee that safeguarding frameworks are consistently understood, accurately recorded, and central to service delivery.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

Programme Development

• Support the development and continuous improvement of The Girls' Network's programme offer, ensuring delivery aligns with organisational strategy and responds to the needs of the girls and young women we serve.

• Develop and maintain programme standards, frameworks, and guidance to drive consistent, high-quality delivery across all regions.

• Take ownership of The Girls' Network volunteering platform, ensuring it effectively supports volunteer engagement and delivery.

• Ensure mentoring, workshops, and wider programme activities are aligned with The Girls' Network Theory of Change.

• Work collaboratively with the wider programme team to identify opportunities to strengthen and evolve programme delivery.

• Stay informed of sector research and emerging practice on mentoring, youth issues, and girls' empowerment, embedding relevant learning into programme design.

Our policy work supports our membership of networks, communities and grassroots groups across the UK to influence public policy and decision-making.

We are a small team, which means you will have the opportunity to work closely with colleagues across the organisation and gain experience of a wide range of activities involved in running a small membership charity. You will support different aspects of our day-to-day work and have opportunities to learn from colleagues with expertise across policy, public affairs, engagement, operations, finance and programme delivery. Main duties and responsibilities:

Membership engagement 

• Support potential new members through our member application process, prepare applications for review by the board 

• Arrange inductions with new members, including arranging induction meetings between senior staff and CEOs

• Organise regular members’ meetings, contacting and liaising with speakers from across our membership and research networks, as well as parliamentarians and other policy-makers. 

• Ensure all our methods of engagement (meetings, events, comms, web content, etc) are accessible, liaising with participants, suppliers, venues, etc to ensure that access needs are met 

• Maintain our member and research network contact lists and support the Head of Policy and Engagement in maintaining contact lists for parliamentary contacts, using Mailchimp 

• Take ownership of longer-term projects to support and improve our membership engagement offer 

• Use membership engagement to support the wider team in its long-term efforts to protect the equality and human rights legal framework 

Communications and Engagement 

• Draft and send member updates regularly, informing our members about opportunities for collaboration, and upcoming meetings and events 

• Draft and send newsletters to our audience of 5,000, providing updates on the work of our membership as well as news and updates from government and public bodies 

• Draft and schedule LinkedIn and other social media posts to share information about our work and that of our members. 

• Update and manage the website with any relevant news or information. 

• Monitor and report on engagement levels with our newsletters, member updates, social and web content, suggesting areas for improvement. 

• Use communications tools and techniques to mobilise support for the protection of the equality and human rights legal framework. 

Policy and team support 

• Organise meetings and events; including timelines, sending invites and reminders, speaker liaison, logistics and planning. 

• Draft meeting agendas and send along with any supporting documentation in advance of any meetings. 

• Take the minutes at various meetings, summarise for distribution, and follow up on any actions. 

• Monitor and report on the attendance levels of our members’ meetings, working group meetings and events. 

• Draft and administer satisfaction and impact surveys, and report on the results. 

• Support the wider team to conduct its policy influencing work for example, through government consultations and correspondence with policy makers. 

Person Specification (Essential Skills and Experience):

Communication skills:

• Very strong oral and written communication skills, coupled with an ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy.

• An ability to quickly adapt to our unique tone of voice in your communications, ensuring that your language and tone are accessible and sensitive to the topics being written about.

• A willingness to understand and adopt a human rights-based approach in your language, understanding the power of words and how they might uplift or diminish people.

Organisational skills:

• Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.

• Strong attention to detail whilst maintaining the ability to work quickly and responsively. 

• Demonstrable experience of using platforms such as Eventbrite and Microsoft Teams to manage large meetings and online events, and Microsoft SharePoint for file management. 

Interpersonal skills:

• The ability to liaise and engage with people from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences, and create and sustain positive, collaborative relationships.

• High levels of emotional intelligence and resilience including an ability to hold and manage difficult feelings and conversations with tact and sensitivity. 

• Understanding and ability to manage how privilege and inequality can impact in the workplace for yourself, colleagues and external stakeholders. 

Professional skills and experience: 

• Equality and Human Rights: a passion for human rights, equality and social justice and a drive to support systems change in order to support communities and people who experience disadvantage and discrimination. 

• Content creation and management: experience of drafting engaging content for a range of audiences and through a range of channels, using Wordpress, Mailchimp, and Canva. 

• Experience in or strong understanding of accessibility and inclusion; ensuring that communications and events are accessible to people with a range of conditions.

• Confidentiality and safeguarding: A good understanding of GDPR principles, ensuring people’s privacy is protected where necessary, and experience of or ability to work within our safeguarding policy. 

• An understanding of, or a willingness to learn about, how public policy is developed in the UK and the importance of civic engagement in building public policy and legislation

Housing Justice brings together communities and finds solutions to homelessness by building personal connections, a sense of belonging, and creating justice in the housing system. We train and support volunteers to offer various accommodation options while building a network of local support. This includes providing personalised assistance to help individuals access relevant local services and address their other needs. Through compassionate, courageous, and collaborative action, we implement innovative solutions to tackle housing injustice, enhance the quality of housing, and elevate the voices and experiences of groups affected by housing injustice to both local and national governments. 

About the programme

The Faith & Community Development Team supports and strengthens community and faith-based responses to homelessness across England. This role will help shape Housing Justice’s national programme of quality improvement, training and best practice for community and faith-based homelessness services, using insight from our flagship Quality assurance framework, Impact Portal, existing research, and partnership engagement to continue the development of practice standards, resources and learning opportunities for the network. 

About you

We are seeking an experienced and organised programme lead with a strong understanding of homelessness, housing policy and practice, and quality improvement. You will bring strong written and verbal communication skills, including presenting and facilitating, drafting reports, quality mark standards and guidance. You will also be comfortable managing multiple priorities, managing a small team, working with data and monitoring information, and building positive relationships with local authorities, funders, sector partners and organisations in the Housing Justice network. 

About the role

The successful candidate will lead the development and delivery of Housing Justice’s national quality improvement, training and best practice work for community and faith-based homelessness services across England. You will oversee the continued development of the Quality Mark accreditation scheme for emergency accommodation providers, lead the creation of a new Quality Framework for day services, develop an Emergency Accommodation Toolkit, and deliver training, learning events and communities of practice. 

The postholder will provide leadership to a small team, with line management responsibility for up to two members of staff, and will work closely with partners to strengthen service quality, safety, effectiveness and sustainability across the sector.
