We are looking for a College Alumni Relations Manager to join our team to refine and expand a bold and innovative alumni volunteering programme to support both the priorities of the College of Medicine and Health and DARO. As a DARO business partner for the College, you will be based both within DARO and the College itself. You will join nine other volunteering professionals as part of the wider team and will be responsible for developing a range of volunteering opportunities for alumni, which support the College’s key priorities, and Birmingham 2030 targets, across a diversified curriculum, the student experience, graduate employability, student recruitment, research and influence. You will be responsible for growing the number of alumni volunteers for the College, reporting on the impact of your work internally and the relationship management of a number of key alumni contacts, with a clear focus on supporting international recruitment for the College. You will work with colleagues across DARO to bring alumni closer to the University to support Philanthropic giving.

Development and Alumni Relations Office

We train and support volunteers to offer various accommodation options while building a network of local support. We are looking for someone with a depth of knowledge and experience of the faith and community homelessness sector (existing connections within Westminster would be a benefit). The successful applicant will feel confident to speak to anyone and will proactively seek out opportunities to build partnerships and promote and develop the existing work of the homelessness sector in Westminster.
 
About the role 

The Faith and Communities Engagement Officer role is designed to enhance and strengthen the infrastructure of homelessness services across Westminster by mobilising and supporting faith and community-based initiatives and groups. The intention is to facilitate effective partnerships with statutory and voluntary sector services and promote sustainable, community-led responses to homelessness and rough sleeping. 

Key responsibilities will include engagement and partnership development, capacity building and support, infrastructure and sustainability and advocacy. The role will play a vital part in bridging gaps between grassroots faith and community initiatives and formal homelessness systems, ensuring coordinated and compassionate support for those experiencing homelessness and rough sleeping.

Senior Direct Marketing Officer - Acquisition

As Senior Direct Marketing Officer, you will operate with a level of autonomy, build excellent agency relationships and deliver outstanding fundraising campaigns to achieve ambitious income targets. A focus on results will be vital but how these are achieved will also form a large part of the role; considering the non-financial measures of quality in addition to more traditional measures of success.

Working with internal teams and external suppliers, you will deliver direct marketing activity across a range of channels and media. You will lead paid media campaigns that drive donations and prize-led support, implementing the associated programmes and products. You will also deliver large-scale projects that strengthen the long-term success of campaigns, while delivering exceptional fundraising activity to achieve ambitious income targets.

In addition to this, you will be responsible for line managing the Acquisition Direct Marketing Executive who will support the Direct Marketing Acquisition team in achieving their targets.

Key Responsibilities:

Campaign Management

· Plan, manage and deliver our Weekly Lottery and Value Exchange campaigns; ensuring they are in market on time, on budget and on brand across a range of channels and media.

Job Purpose 

We are looking for an exemplary people-oriented administrator to provide administrative support to the Gestalt Centre CEO and the workstreams she manages. Areas of work and responsibility

• Administrative Support to the Gestalt Centre CEO
• Coordinate and support projects and workstreams the CEO leads on: Operations, Communications and Marketing, Short Courses and Post Graduate Qualifications, HR, Finance, Policies, Fundraising and Health & Safety.
• Liaise with the CEO and the leadership team to update the organisational plan and workstream plans, also keep track of relevant priority actions and progress.

• Provide administrative support to the organising and running fundraising activities and events.

We’re looking for an Individual Giving Manager (9-month maternity cover) to achieve BMS’ fundraising strategy and goals by stimulating new and repeat donations from individual givers and leading creative innovative fundraising campaigns. You will also lead a small team of two Individual Giving Officers (one full-time and one part-time).

The successful candidate will be a fundraiser with a track record of meeting ambitious fundraising targets. You will develop and deliver an individual giving strategy and employ a range of retention and acquisition techniques. You will manage and oversee BMS’ appeals, regular giving, major donor and community fundraising programmes.

You will quickly build excellent relationships within BMS and with supporters and have a strong commitment to outstanding supporter care. This is an important role, at a critical time in the life of the organisation, and we are looking for a strategic, professional and knowledgeable fundraiser to deliver on our strategy.

This role is a 9 month maternity contract starting early June 2026 to early March 2027. This role can be hybrid with flexibility but would need to attend the Didcot office in agreement with your line manager.

What you will be doing 

The Facilities Assistant provides logistical and maintenance support for the Woodrow estate and holds the following core responsibilities. This is not intended as an exhaustive list, and the job may change over time to reflect the changing needs of our centre, as well as the personal development needs of the post holder. 

Grounds upkeep: 

• General upkeep of the 26-acre estate grounds e.g. pruning, mowing, planting, tidying gardens. 
• Keeping grounds, paths and hard surfaces safe and free of ice, snow, leaves, weeds, etc. 
• Maintaining the 3G astro pitch, cycle circuit and outdoor activity areas.

Building maintenance: 

• Undertake day-to-day minor repairs, e.g. patching, painting, leaky taps, hinges, caulking, etc. 
• Undertake cyclical / seasonal jobs e.g. clearing gutters, drains, drain gratings, etc. 
• Support with biomass boiler maintenance and receive woodchip deliveries. 
• Support with basic utilities issues as they arise, e.g. heating, plumbing, electrical, etc. 

Health and safety: 

• Undertake routine safety/compliance checks of all facilities including, among other things, legionella temperature aduits, emergency equipment inspections and tests, etc. 
• Support the FM with risk assessments and work procedures relevant to the role. 
• Maintain accurate records of all work carried out using systems in place for auditing. 

General duties: 

• Basic joinery, carpentry and build projects done in house, under direction of the FM. 
• Supervise outside contractors to ensure all jobs are carried out to agreed standards. 
• Supervise corporate volunteer groups who support us with gardening or build projects. 
• Support with setup and occasional on-the-day attendance at various events. 
• Undertake other duties as reasonably requested by London Youth's management that ensure the ongoing success of the charity and delivery of excellent customer experiences.

Experience, Knowledge & Skills 

We do not expect candidates to have expertise in all areas, but at a minimum experience of minor buildings repairs and maintenance and groundskeeping work is essential to this role. Training will be provided to address some gaps where necessary and relevant. 

• Experience with grounds maintenance including tree and lawn care, gardening, etc. 
• Experience of maintenance in heating, plumbing, electrical systems. 
• Demonstrable good practical DIY skills, including decorating, joinery, carpentry, repairs, etc. 
• Experience using power and maintenance tools, including small tractor with mower, jigsaws, strimmers, etc. 
• Demonstrable understanding of Health & Safety regulations relevant to this type of role; the importance of compliance, evidencing and contributing to this. 
• Hold a good level of fitness and able to work outside in variable weather conditions.

The Bumblebee Conservation Trust (the Trust) is looking for a part-time (0.7 FTE) Head of Outreach.

• Lead on the development and implementation of an Outreach Strategy that inspires people and organisations, including policy makers, to take action for bumblebees. (Aim 2 of the Trust’s strategy)

By leading structured development and improvement activity across Woodgreen’s community outreach services, they will ensure that any changes that are made are coherent, deliverable, and capable of supporting consistent outcomes across different local contexts.  They will play a key part in strengthening service performance and in ensuring that Woodgreen’s community programmes continue to deliver meaningful impact for both communities and our charity.

If you have;

• A working knowledge of relevant design, improvement, or analytical methods (e.g. service or human-centred design, improvement approaches, behaviour change frameworks, systems mapping, monitoring and evaluation), with the ability to apply or commission their use in practice.
• Significant experience of developing, improving, or adapting services or initiatives involving complex or evolving needs, and using insight, evidence, and feedback to strengthen impact in practice.
• Significant experience of working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders, including operational teams, communities and partners in order to understand needs, test ideas, and support implementation across different contexts or delivery settings.
• Proven experience in using data, evaluation, and lived experience insight to inform service improvement, shape recommendations, or contribute to programme or model development, including balancing evidence with operational realities.

Primary objectives: The Head of Fundraising manages a small, expanding team to deliver sustainable fundraising income. Hours: 30 – 37.5 hours per week with some flexibility on when hours are worked.

Salary: £46000-£50000 FTE Pro Rata (depending on experience).

Pension: We make a 5% contribution to your pension with a minimum of 3% from the employee based on salary paid. Purpose of the role

The Finance (FM) contributes to ENN’s vision through strategic management and governance of its financial resources and budgets.

The Finance Manager is responsible for finance strategy, planning and oversight, reporting, regulatory compliance and aligning finance strategies with organisational goals and operations.  The FM is a member of the management team, provides key insights to support business decisions, liaises with the board of trustees and holds the position of Company Secretary.

Responsibilities

· Develop ENN’s finance strategy in support of the delivery of its 5 year strategic goals.

· Proactively enhance ENN’s financial systems to manage and oversee project budgets, forecast trends, identify opportunities, and analyse organizational performance through data-driven decision making

· Strategic Support – Provide management information and financial insights to the management team and trustees including identification and mitigation of strategic and operational financial risks.

· Line Management – Line manage and mentor the finance team (currently 1 management accountant) and ensure positive, productive, and supportive team relationships

· Oversee the core finance functions; including multi-currency (GBP, EUR and USD) payables , receivables, bank reconciliations, cash flow and general ledger reconciliations

· Budgeting & Forecasting - Lead the annual budgeting process and track financial performance of the organisation as well as budget variance analysis of project P&L’s

· Manage finance year end and the Charity’s annual and other audits, including holding the relationship with auditors and preparing the appropriate statements

· Contribute to the organisation’s income generation ambitions, supporting partner due diligence and in providing advice, guidance and assistance, and in preparation of funding proposal budgets that meet ENN’s requirements

· Internal Controls & Compliance - Advise the management team on any measures required to ensure that financial systems (including payroll and banking systems), policies, procedures and controls are robust and adhere to regulatory requirements and implement these procedures where appropriate.

· Manage effective payroll, including: Preparing payroll calculations, submissions on Bright Pay pension administration, payroll year end schedules and PSA calculation and submission.

· Charity Governance – Company Secretary duties ensuring timely and accurate statutory filing with Companies House and The Charity Commission

Person Specification

Essential

· Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)

· Extensive experience of leading financial management for organisations in the non-profit sector, with a thorough understanding of charity specific financial obligations.

· Demonstrated experience in reporting to and engaging with management teams and/or trustees on matters related to financial risk management, including presenting complex financial data, risk assessments, and strategic recommendations.

· Experience of building and managing grant funded project accounting with proportional allocation of staff costs to funds.

· Experience of developing funding proposals with a variety of funders, including institutional funders, foundations and NGO’s

· Experience of managing payroll.

· Experience in line managing a team including appropriate delegation, performance management, staff engagement and development, and effective coordination of team workload

· Ability to work both autonomously and as pro-active business partner to members of a dispersed team.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Reporting Lines

The Finance Manager is a member of ENN’s Management Team and reports to the Chief Executive Officer and has line management responsibility for a small team (currently 1 management accountant).

By establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships that strengthen how support for pet owners is enabled in practice, your work with community outreach operational partners will support shared ways of working whilst developing broader strategic relationships that grow Woodgreen’s national reach and influence over time.

We are looking for a new team member to join our service supporting Carers across Havering to improve their health and wellbeing, and access wider support that meets their needs.

This is a great opportunity to support local communities, working with Adult Carers and Young Adult Carers and helping them to make informed choices, build confidence, sustain their independence, and access support that meets their individual needs. You will carry out assessments to understand people’s individual circumstances and level of need, working together to co-produce support plans. This will involve meeting Carers in community settings and conducting home visits. The team also facilities coffee mornings and activities offering Carers opportunities for peer support and to take a break from caring.

You’ll build on your local knowledge to signpost and facilitate access for Carers to support services, including financial and benefit advice, housing, health and safety home systems, and leisure and social activities. You will support the development of escalation plans so that Carers are prepared for unforeseen circumstances that would impact negatively on ability to care.

This is a part-time role (22.5 hours), and applicants should have relevant personal or professional experience of working with Carers and/or vulnerable adults in a relevant sector. It’s essential that you are confident using IT and maintaining excellent records. You’ll need a practical understanding of barriers faced by Carers, and an awareness of cultural differences and access to services.
