We’re looking for an innovative, passionate and professional individual with excellent communication and organisational skills to join the Life After Stroke Service based across Cornwall.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with stroke survivors and their families to support them following a stroke.

Position: S11361 Stroke Support Coordinator

Location: Home-based, North/East Cornwall. However, Frequent travel will be required as part of this role (to include team meetings or other work-related meetings)

Hours: Part-time, 24 hours per week

Salary: Circa £19,400 per annum (FTE £28,300 per annum)

Contract: This is a fixed-term contract until 31 March 2027. Services are contracted and there is currently funding for this contract until 31 March 2027

The Role

The service aims to identify and provide key worker support to meet the needs of stroke survivors and carers across the stroke pathway. Providing a range of innovative support solutions, supporting them to meet their desired outcomes.

The Stroke Support Coordinator will:

• Support new stroke survivors and their carers from hospital discharge into the community.
• Provide personalised information, advice and support.
• Support stroke survivors to make informed lifestyle changes which will help them to prevent further strokes.
• Work collaboratively with NHS colleagues and other areas of the community to make a difference in the lives of people affected by stroke.

About You

The post holder will have experience/background in:

• A caring profession ideally with experience of supporting people with disabilities.
• Setting up and running virtual groups.

This role requires extensive travel across Cornwall to visit people at home and in community settings. Candidates must be able to demonstrate how they can meet this requirement of the role.

LOCATION:

JOB SUMMARY 

In this role, you will support the delivery and growth of Team Domenica’s thriving Trusts Fundraising programme. Following on from our recent capital appeal, Team Domenica is looking to grow its wide portfolio of grant funders to help the charity continue to deliver excellent training for young people with learning disabilities. 

Working alongside the Trusts and Grants team, your focus will be on securing grant income from a variety of organisations, from medium awards to larger, six-figure gifts. You will build a pipeline of prospects and develop compelling applications that illuminate how funders’ support can change young lives. You will also be comfortable presenting your work and Team Domenica’s mission to funders or other shareholders during visits or meetings.

You will proactively help shape our Trusts’ strategy and build meaningful relationships that generate income, add value to our programmes and raise awareness of what we do. This role is ideal for someone with strong research and writing skills looking to take the next exciting step in their fundraising career and make a huge impact.

REPORTING

RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Responsible for supporting our Trust fundraising strategy by securing medium-sized grants, with the opportunity to work on larger (six-figure) applications in line with agreed income targets 

• Prepare thorough and well-researched fundraising applications 

• Craft progress reports for Team Domenica’s funders 

• Draft weekly reports on Trusts activity for the Fundraising Manager and CEO 

• Research new prospects to build the Trusts pipeline

• Alongside the Fundraising Manager, be responsible for project managing a portfolio of funders, including drafting timelines, detailed notes and a plan for application delivery

• Steward a portfolio of existing partnerships, ensuring funders have an engaging experience that involves their teams and supports our fundraising goals 

• Record detailed notes of funder progress and awards on Team Domenica’s CRM database (Donorfy) 

• Attend regular meetings with the fundraising team 

• Work with the Employment Team to develop funding opportunities, understand new priorities and any advancements in Team Domenica’s training programmes 

• Prepare and deliver presentations about Team Domenica when needed to funders, at networking events or other community activities to support relationship building

About the Role

Working closely with and supporting the Policy Lead, the role involves engaging with stakeholders to build strong, effective relationships and help drive policy change in support of the charity’s mission. Sitting in the Influencing team, the Policy Officer will collaborate across the organisation, including with Restoration, Communication & Education, Fundraising, and Support & Governance teams.

Key areas of responsibility include:

• Research and monitor changes in policy and legislation with direct and indirect impacts on beaver restoration across Britain.
• Draft relevant responses, policy documents and political briefings.
• Organise policy events and meetings to support influencing work.

• Cultivate and maintain stakeholder relationships, including with politicians, government officials, and partners to bolster support for the trust’s policy positions.

About You

You will have an understanding of the environmental policy landscape - including agri–environment schemes - across Britain at both local and national levels. With strong influencing and communication skills, you will have the ability to articulate policy positions clearly and persuasively to support policy change.

You will have proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with a wide range of external stakeholders, including those who may hold differing or opposing views. For example government officials, NGOs, partners, and landowners.

With the ability to synthesise, interpret and apply scientific research to inform policy development and advocacy, you will have:

• Experience of producing high-quality reports, briefings and written communications for diverse audiences.
• Highly organised, proactive and self-motivated, with a strong commitment to the organisation’s mission and values.
• IT and visual content creation skills.

The Role

We’re looking for a curious, compassionate and committed individual with excellent communication and organisational skills to join the Stroke Recovery Service in the Stockport area. This is an exciting opportunity to work directly with stroke survivors and their families, supporting them in rebuilding their lives after stroke.

The service operates in fast-paced, person-centred environment, where Coordinators identify and respond to the evolving needs of stroke survivors and their carers. This includes delivering structured reviews at six months post-stroke, supporting stroke survivors in their ongoing recovery and helping them achieve their personal goals.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Work as part of a team to plan and deliver engaging peer support and communication groups
• Attend multi-disciplinary meetings with the local stroke therapy team, contributing to joined-up care
• Recruit, train and manage volunteers to enhance service delivery (experience in volunteer management is an advantage)
• Support stroke survivors and their carers from hospital discharge into the community, offering personalised advice and guidance

This role focuses on legacy and in-memory giving - including gifts in Wills which are some of the most meaningful contributions we receive, helping us fund research that will save and improve lives.

In this role you’ll be part of an exciting time at the charity, joining us as we roll out our new Fundraising Strategy and start developing new products. You’ll be delivering thoughtful, well-timed and engaging communications to a variety of audiences, helping us reach new supporters and deepen relationships with those already connected to us. Your work will play a vital part in raising awareness, encouraging supporters to consider leaving a gift in their Will, and providing meaningful ways to remember loved ones. 

Working closely with our Legacy and In Memory Manager, you’ll help manage relationships with external agencies and collaborate with both internal teams and external partners to make sure our plans are delivered smoothly and successfully. Specific Responsibilities

• Deliver against a 6-figure fundraising target, taking responsibility for a cohort of prospects, with a focus on trusts, foundations, public sector and corporate partners.

• Write compelling proposals/applications and reports for trusts and foundations, to engage supporters and demonstrate the impact of our work.

• Collaborate with colleagues, in particular the Director and Programme Heads, to source programme information, schedule meetings/calls with prospects, writing excellent briefing notes in advance.

• Adhere to best practice in prospect cultivation, solicitation and stewardship, and ensure the due diligence policies in place are followed.

The Woodland Trust is looking for an Engaging Communities Officer to join our exciting Sherwood’s Living Legends project funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund. A development grant has been awarded by Heritage Fund to help the Woodland Trust progress the project over 18-months to apply for a 5-year delivery stage grant. If this application is successful, the project will safeguard the future of ancient and veteran trees in Sherwood Forest and reconnect communities with this iconic landscape. This is a fixed term contract for 18-months, with the potential for an extension. 

The Role: 

• Lead the community-focused development of Sherwood’s Living Legends, shaping how people connect with the cultural, historical and ecological significance of ancient and veteran trees. 
• Co-create imaginative engagement approaches with consultants, using storytelling, heritage and local myth to inspire urban and rural communities. 
• Define target audiences and craft compelling key messages that will underpin the project’s delivery-stage communications. 
• Promote the project across the Sherwood NCA through social media, local press, PR events and creative outreach activity. 
• Ensure engagement plans are inclusive, accessible and responsive to the needs of diverse communities and participants. 
• Build and maintain strong relationships with partners, community groups, landowners and Woodland Trust teams to support joined-up project development. 
• Monitor and evaluate engagement activity, gathering insight and data to inform project design and future delivery. 
• Represent the project internally and externally, sharing successes and supporting alignment with wider Woodland Trust communications. 

The Candidate: 

• Experienced in coordinating and delivering varied community events, including consultations tailored to different audiences and locations. 
• Confident leading groups outdoors, with experience engaging children, schools and community participants in nature-based activities. 
• Skilled in partnership working, able to collaborate with volunteers, community groups and external organisations to achieve shared outcomes. 
• Strong communicator with excellent written, verbal and digital skills, including social media content creation and public-facing representation. 
• Committed to equality, diversity and inclusion, with an understanding of how to design accessible and welcoming engagement. 
• Organised and proactive, able to manage multiple workstreams, prioritise effectively and work independently within a dispersed team. 
• Competent with IT systems, particularly MS Office and collaborative platforms such as Teams. 
• Professional, positive and adaptable, able to represent the Woodland Trust and partners with confidence and clarity. 
• The successful candidate will be required to undertake a Basic DBS Check, as part of our pre-employment screening.

As our Network Manager, you will live and breathe our network, developing a deep understanding of the makeup, needs and priorities of network members to lead effective engagement and establish a high quality experience. You’ll drive a number of projects and steward relationships as part of our evolving offer, focusing on listening, moving from a transactional to a relational approach to supporting and learning from our network, equipping leaders with the skills, networks, and confidence to deliver exceptional support to young people.

You’ll support the Head of Network Development and the Senior Leadership Team to evolve UKY’s network offer as part of our new strategy. You will be a key advocate for the sector, ensuring our network remains responsive, resilient, and well equipped to meet emerging opportunities and challenges.

The role requires deep understanding and experience  of the youth sector, the ability to confidently build relationships with leaders of practice and organisations, as well as a highly organised, and proactive individual with strong project management and excellent stakeholder management skills.

Experience we're after

• Experience delivering youth work practice with young people.

• Understanding of youth policy, workforce challenges, and sector-wide trends including the changing aspirations and needs of young people and the impact of youth work in supporting these.

• Knowledge of youth sector infrastructure organisations and their roles at national, regional, and local levels.

• Strong programme and project management expertise, including a demonstrable track record of successfully leading and managing large-scale or complex programmes and projects in a previous role.

• Excellent relational and stakeholder engagement skills, with proven experience building and maintaining relationships across diverse organisations.

• Proven experience in network development, membership engagement, or partnership management within the charity, youth, or community sector.

• Experience in workforce development, training, or skills enhancement within a sector-focused setting.

• Excellent line management skills, with experience developing staff and effectively managing performance.

• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage diverse audiences in a variety of settings.

• Experience in budget management and financial planning.
