The role is part-time and is hybrid working both from home and our office in Bristol (a suitable and confidential workspace at home is required).

About the role
The main purpose of this role is to provide quality support to children and young people who are victims and survivors of sexual violence. You will be responsible for completing comprehensive initial needs and risk assessments, developing and delivering personalised safety and support plans for clients, many of whom have additional vulnerabilities and have complex needs.
You will need to be able to build and maintain effective working relationships with the Police, statutory and voluntary agencies to deliver the best possible outcomes within a multi-agency setting. As well as being tenacious in support of your clients and adept at problem solving.
To be successful in this role you will need to be approachable, flexible and caring, demonstrating empathy at all times. You will have had lengthy experience of direct service delivery (casework) with people with complex needs (ideally with children) and will have a good understanding of the impact of sexual violence offences on victims and survivors and of safeguarding issues. You will also have an excellent understanding of and commitment to the promotion of equal opportunities and diversity.
IT literacy is a must and candidates must evidence both the ability to use bespoke packages and excellence in their recording practice. If you do not possess an ISVA accreditation, we will fund this learning as it essential for the role. The role also requires enhanced DBS and police vetting.

KEY DELIVERABLES

As a Senior Support Coach, you will play a pivotal role within the service, as a point of contact, providing advice and guidance to the wider team in support of the management team, and to residents. You will be based within our Offender Personality Disorder Housing Accommodation and Support Service (OPD HASS). The service provides specialist, structured support to high risk and high need men who have recently left the criminal justice system.
The service provides specialist support to help overcome personal barriers to resettlement, reducing the risk of re-offending and supports residents towards independent living. You will deliver flexible, responsive, and person centred support to residents. This is a highly rewarding opportunity to lead by example and positively influence the recovery journeys of individuals with complex needs, including personality disorders and offending backgrounds. We're looking for a individual who understands the needs of our residents along with experience supporting individuals with complex needs. You will be confident working in challenging environments and able to balance empathy with professional boundaries. You will be able to work collaboratively as part of a team, and will have alignment with our SIG values. The AI Engineer is a hands-on role where you’ll work across the full development lifecycle, from shaping ideas and building prototypes through to deploying production-ready solutions. You’ll play a key role in applying AI and modern software engineering practices to real-world service challenges.
As AI Engineer, you’ll be part of a small, collaborative team, working closely with product, user experience and operational colleagues to deliver impactful, user-focused solutions.
This role is predominantly home-based with occasional attendance at our Birmingham Office (minimum of four days per year). However, during probation more frequent office attendance will be required to ensure you receive full support.

What We’re Looking For
Core Experience
Strong background in software or application development
Experience working with Python and/or Microsoft technologies
Experience building and integrating APIs and services
Ability to deliver solutions end-to-end (design through to deployment)
Confident communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences
AI & Innovation
Good understanding of AI / Generative AI concepts and use cases
Interest in applying emerging technologies to solve real problems
Nice to Have (but not essential)
Experience building AI-enabled features or tools
Knowledge of technologies such as RAG, vector databases or LLMs
Background in regulated, public sector or customer-focused environments
Experience working with CRM, contact centre or case management systems
