THE ROLE

You will lead the Skills and Wellbeing Programme at Oasis City Farm – Southampton, delivering high-quality sessions, therapeutic activities and workshops for adults and young people. With the aim of building knowledge, practical skills, confidence and wellbeing through animal care, gardening and nature-based learning. Brief role description
The young people programme supports young people from Forces families aged 16 to 24, particularly those who are disadvantaged, affected by mobility, at risk of becoming NEET or who have Special Educational Needs (SEN). Who we're looking for
We are looking for someone with a background in education and/or experience supporting young people to overcome challenges. You will have experience in a customer-focused environment and a track record of delivering to SLAs. You will also be a strong collaborator and team player, with demonstrable influencing skills and coaching or mentoring experience.
You will be a self-starter with confidence to use your own initiative and a passion for supporting the Armed Forces community. You will have an understanding of the challenges faced by forces families in finding appropriate and sustainable employment. The ideal candidate will have lived experience of the Armed Forces lifestyle, a background in secondary or further education and a NVQ Level 6 in Advice, Information and Guidance.

The role sits within a Policy and Influencing function that works closely with programmes teams to turn evidence from funded projects into strong networks, higher visibility and meaningful policy impact.
The Policy and Convening Manager develops influencing strategies based on the insights from Impact on Urban Health programmes, builds coalitions and leads a new cross-programme approach to convening – including showcasing evidence from the Foundation and its partners, and delivering targeted policy-focused events. The role involves experimenting with new approaches to deliver impact, spotting opportunities to influence, and leading investment partnerships with a policy angle, which may include commissioning research or designing campaigns.
The Policy and Convening Manager works with the Head of Policy and Influencing on engagement with key parliamentary and governmental stakeholders and collaborates with Communications colleagues to create impactful policy communications.

About the role
We are recruiting for a Communications and PR Manager to join our busy Partnerships team. The team works closely with the NIoT’s regions, founding Multi-Academy Trusts and Associate Colleges as core partners, and supports our national profile, brand, communications, stakeholder engagement and the dissemination of research outputs.
This is a varied role for a confident communications professional who can combine strong campaign instincts with excellent writing, media handling, stakeholder engagement and data-informed improvement. You will help build a clearly distinct NIoT voice, look and feel; manage high-quality internal and external communications; and support positive, purposeful public relations activity across the education sector.
Working closely with colleagues across marketing, policy, research, events, programmes and regions, the Communications and PR Manager will craft compelling messages, support campaign planning, manage channels and relationships, and ensure that NIoT’s work is shared with clarity, credibility and impact.
This is a hybrid role, with an expectation that the postholder will work from the office at least once a fortnight, and more frequently where required to meet business needs. The role also involves national travel, which may include overnight stays.

As Marketing Manager, you will grow awareness of, and referrals to, CSE's energy advice services across both B2B and B2C audiences. You will build relationships with the professionals and community organisations best placed to refer people to us and develop campaigns that reach householders directly.
You will own a sustained marketing plan, produce high-quality materials and measure your impact. Reporting to the Head of Communications, you will work closely with colleagues across Communications and our Household Energy Services team.
