We are now looking for a skilled Marketing Officer to contribute to and deliver effective marketing campaigns to help meet the organisation's core strategic objectives. This is an exciting role within the Marketing and Communications team and a fantastic opportunity to join an historic organisation, the home of the iconic Chelsea Pensioners since 1692.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll be delivering a range of digital and traditional marketing campaigns for stakeholders across fundraising, commercial and heritage parts of the organisation – including the Chelsea Pensioners Veterans Outreach programme, which aims to combat loneliness and isolation in older veterans across the UK.

You’ll drive our delivery of e-newsletters and supporter journeys through dot digital, and report on trends and insights in order for us to learn and improve.

We want someone who is:

• A skilled and confident executor, who is experienced in consumer marketing and promoting a wide range of projects including public events to the right audiences.
• A confident email marketeer, with experience of welcome and supporter journeys and supporter e-newsletters.
• Creative in crafting compelling marketing content to deliver effective, multi-channel marketing campaigns.
• Experience of working with a range of partners to help raise awareness and engagement, as well as suppliers such as designers and photographers.
• Relevant marketing experience in a military, charity, cultural or public organisation would be particularly advantageous.

Are you an experienced IDVA, ready to work with a creative and dynamic team, advocating for women, families and the LGBT+ community who have experienced Domestic Abuse? Then join us to lead a team of specialist caseworkers, supporting survivors to address practical issues and empower them in their recovery!

The RISE Team Leader will be a skilled independent domestic and sexual violence advocate who will oversee a small team of case and group workers as well as managing Helpline volunteers. She will be a qualified IDVA and ISVA or be willing to complete the accreditations in the first six months in post.

She will hold a caseload of her own and coordinate a team providing support and guidance through a range of interventions and support offers working closely with an experienced Manager and other Team Leaders. Together with their team they will build, maintain and create links to deliver survivor-focused, trauma aware/ responsive support to help survivors and their family to cope and recover.

They will be the lead on developing, implementing and coordinating the Helpline, Casework and Projects with day-to-day practice oversight of staff and volunteers. The Team Leader will work co-operatively and flexibly alongside RISE colleagues providing expert input and contributing to the effective running of the organisation as a whole.

The Role

This is a position offering someone with the appropriate values and experience, the opportunity to play a pivotal role in the Finance Team, coordinating the Finance Department, ensuring that financial & payroll information is processed in accordance with HMN procedures & timescales.

As a Financial Controller you will work closely with the Senior Finance Manager to drive quality financial processes through the core of the organisation, leading on the management of the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Production of monthly management accounts to Senior Management budget holders
• Line Management of the Finance Administrators & Finance Officer
• Support with quarterly reconciliations & reports for Board
• Assisting with setting yearly budgets & projections in liaison with Senior Leadership Team & Finance Manager

We deliver essential mental health support in Hertfordshire, providing a diverse range of services from our Wellbeing Centres and other locations across the county. We help individuals experiencing mental ill health to make choices, find their solutions, build resilience and manage their wellbeing. About the role

As People Officer, you will provide high-quality, accurate support across the full employee/volunteer lifecycle, while also contributing to employee and volunteering relations, and continuous improvement of our People & Culture services. As People Officer you will be part of a team who support a headcount of approximately 250 employees, 200 volunteers and 150 self-employed individuals across Hertfordshire. Key Responsibilities include:

Employee Lifecycle

• Deliver a high-quality, confidential and customer-focused People service from recruitment through to leaving.
• Advise line managers on recruitment; selection, interview and safer recruitment
• Provide People advice for queries from the People & Culture team in line with policies, managing and or escalating complex issues as appropriate.

Systems, Data & Reporting

• Produce timely and accurate People management information to assist organisational decision-making. (ihasco, Breathe, Livepay, Charity log, etc)
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within the HR information system (Breathe HR), including new profiles, personal data, annual leave and absence reporting.
• Oversee monthly payroll data collation, including hours, absences, and any contractual changes, ensuring timely submission to Payroll.

Employee Relations & Case Management

• Manage employee relations cases, such as sickness absence, conduct, capability, disciplinary, grievance, family focussed leave, flexible working requests.

Projects & Continuous Improvement

• Contribute to projects such as employee engagement initiatives, policy updates, wellbeing programmes, EDIE (VIBE, Voice, Inclusion, Belonging, Engagement) and system improvements.
• Support quality assurance processes in line with National Mind policies and ISO9001 standards.
• Identify opportunities to improve people processes, recommending and implementing enhancements under the guidance of the People & Culture Director

General Responsibilities

• To support any member of the People and Culture team and to cover team absence as required.
• Note taking for meetings as required
• Promote Hertfordshire Mind services by attending events, campaigns, and open days to raise awareness of mental health.

Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will lead the day-to-day housing management and estate services across our site. You will build positive relationships with residents, support their wellbeing and independence, ensure homes and communal areas are safe and well managed, and help create a vibrant community environment.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working closely with people, takes pride in delivering excellent services, and can balance resident support with professional housing management responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

· Manage housing applications, allocations, viewings, sign-ups, and empty homes.

· Carry out regular resident visits to support wellbeing, independence, and tenancy sustainability.

· Lead day-to-day estate management activities and property inspections.

· Monitor repairs, contractors, and compliance activities to ensure high standards are maintained.

· Respond effectively to resident enquiries, concerns, complaints, and safeguarding matters.

· Maintain accurate records and support housing, health and safety, and compliance requirements.

· Organise resident events, engagement activities, and community initiatives.

· Build positive relationships with residents, families, contractors, local organisations, and partner agencies.

· Contribute to service improvements and support reporting for senior management and Trustees.

· Provide occasional support outside normal working hours in emergency situations, with time off in lieu provided.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Outreach & Engagement

· Lead on the planning and delivery of outreach activity (such as stalls and interactive activities) to promote the Students’ Union (specifically the Academic Experience Team’s) services, helping students understand what support is available to them.

· Build relationships with external charities and organisations, coordinating their involvement in on-campus outreach activity to raise awareness of support services relevant to students.

· Develop creative, inclusive approaches to increase student awareness and participation, particularly among students who may not usually engage.

· Collaborate with the Representation Coordinator, Community Events Team, and School & Student Community Organisers (SCOs) to design and deliver outreach that raises awareness of key academic and student issues, including initiatives for awareness weeks and heritage months.

· Monitor impact by monitoring attendance and engagement, in addition to gathering feedback to understand what worked well and continuously improve future outreach.
 

Induction & Student Transition

· Support the Academic Experience Manager in booking and coordinating SU induction talks for the start of each Semester.

· Deliver engaging induction talks and sessions to help new students understand how they can get involved and shape their academic experience.

· Ensure students are aware of key opportunities such as becoming a Student Rep and how to share feedback with the SU.

· Collect feedback on induction sessions and use this to improve content and delivery for future students.
 

Student Representation Support

· Support the delivery of Student Representative recruitment & training, helping reps understand their role and how to represent student views effectively.

· Work with Reps throughout the year to keep them engaged, confident, and active in their role, by hosting drop-in sessions and forums.

· Support the administration of Student Representation, helping students share feedback and ensuring it is used to inform improvements.

· Support the planning, organisation and delivery of School Student Forums and attendance at Programme Academic Experience Groups (PAEGs).

· Support the Academic Experience Team with day-to-day administration, including monitoring shared inboxes, responding to student queries, and helping ensure timely communication with Student Representatives.

Communicating Student Voice

· Work collaboratively with the Marketing Team and Representation Coordinator to develop and deliver regular reporting on student voice activity, including showcasing the impact of work led by Student Reps and SCOs

· Work in partnership with the Advice and Insight teams to support the effective use of student feedback mechanisms, including:

o Coordinating the collation and organisation of student submissions

o Assisting in the analysis and interpretation of feedback data

o Ensuring timely and meaningful reporting back to students and stakeholders on key themes and outcomes

Supporting The Wider SU Team

· Harness and maintain good working relationships with all colleagues across the SU, working as collaboratively as possible on all projects where appropriate.

· Support with the delivery of larger events like Freshers Week, Refreshers Week, the Students’ Union Awards and Elections (this is not an exhaustive list).

General Duties

· Set high standards of integrity, punctuality, accuracy, politeness, and professionalism. By personal example promote a positive image of the SU and ensure staff provide an excellent customer service.

· Ensure the effective and efficient day to day running of the department.

· Contribute towards the delivery of the SU’s strategic plan.

· Attend conferences, training events and meetings as necessary.

· Build and maintain effective relationships with external stakeholders and providers

· Undertake individual projects as required for the benefit of Herts students.

· Have a flexible approach to work and undertake any other reasonable duties that may be required, including general administration.

· Keep up to date with relevant local, national, international & sector developments, changes in legislation and good practice.

· Be sensitive when handling confidential information.

· Respect the democratic structure of the SU at all times.

· Abide by the Union Constitution and Union policies and procedures at all times.

· Support with the delivery of the Students’ Union Elections, Bye-Elections and Referenda, ensuring that they are free, fair and accessible to all students.

Main purpose

The Head of People leads Centre for Sustainable Energy (CSE)'s HR team directing and overseeing all staff-related activity and holding responsibility for developing and delivering the charity’s People Strategy. The role is a strategic partner to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and a member of the Senior Management Team (SMT). 

Working alongside SLT in an advisory and partnering capacity, the Head of People helps ensure organisational decisions are informed by workforce insight and that CSE has the people, capability and culture needed to deliver its strategic objectives. The role works with line managers across the organisation to build people management capability and ensure that wellbeing, equality, diversity and inclusion, and people-related legal and policy requirements are consistently applied. 

The role spans the full breadth of the People function, including strategic business partnering, employee relations, recruitment, learning and development, wellbeing, EDI, people operations and digital transformation. The Head of People leads and develops the HR team, ensuring the delivery of a high-quality, proactive and people-centred service while building on the good practice that already exists within the charity and driving continuous improvement for the benefit of the charity and its employees. 

As the senior People professional at CSE, the role balances strategic leadership with practical operational delivery across the full breadth of the People function, requiring the successful candidate to move confidently between strategic thinking and hands-on implementation. The Head of People provides expert advice on complex people matters, develops and implements people policies, frameworks and processes, supports organisational change and improvement, and translates organisational priorities, values and culture into practical people initiatives that support both staff and the wider organisation. 

This role is likely to appeal to someone who enjoys building, improving and embedding great people practice and who is comfortable balancing strategic leadership with operational delivery across a broad and varied remit.
