Project jobs
Lambeth Palace Library is the historic library and archive of the Archbishops of Canterbury and the principal repository for the archives of the national bodies of the Church of England. Founded in 1610, it is freely open for public use and serves as a research centre specialising in church history, with wide ranging archive, manuscript and printed collections dating from the ninth century to the present day, including modern archives and digital records.
The Library's vision is to collect, preserve and make accessible the memory of the Church of England, so that its history can be explored and enjoyed by all. Alongside its long standing strengths, the Library is developing new ways of improving access to collections and supporting research, learning and engagement.
This is a new senior role. Reporting directly to the Head of Lambeth Palace Library, the postholder will ensure that cross-Library programmes are well coordinated and delivered. This includes leading programmes and projects, supporting colleagues in complex work, and overseeing areas such as digital development, access and outreach. Working closely with the Head of Lambeth Palace Library, the postholder will help translate strategic priorities into practical delivery across the organisation.
The Library comprises around 35-40 staff working across four core teams: Printed Books, Archives, Collections Care, and Operations. The Associate Head will lead a fifth, specialist team with defined functional responsibilities, including digital preservation, imaging services and inclusive cataloguing practice, while also coordinating work that sits across and between the Library's core teams.
This is a predominantly office-based role. Regular on-site attendance is expected to support effective leadership, collaboration, and the delivery of in-person services. Hybrid working is available, with the opportunity to work from home typically one day per week.
The closing date for this role is 06 September 2026.
Interviews will be held on 24 September in Lambeth Palace Library.
The Church of England’s vocation is and always has been to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ afresh in each generation to the people of England.

Youth Programmes Officer
Hours: 35 hours per week

About us
The Ben Kinsella Trust is one of the UK’s leading anti-knife crime charities. We were set up following the tragic murder of 16-year-old Ben Kinsella in 2008, and everything we do is guided by his legacy. Our mission is to prevent knife crime through education and campaigning.
Ben was a kind, creative young person who loved art, music, Arsenal FC, and making people laugh. He had big dreams of becoming a graphic designer. His death was a senseless act of violence, and the outpouring of grief and public support that followed marked the start of a movement. Our work challenges myths about knife crime, strengthens peer influence, and sparks meaningful conversations. As we grow, we remain committed to honouring Ben’s life by making a real, lasting difference to young people across the UK.

About us
We are a long-established UK research institution with charitable status and accounting operations in both the UK and East Africa. With an annual turnover of over £1 million, our finances span two entities and a range of restricted and unrestricted funds, consolidated for reporting. We are looking for a qualified accountant to join us as a contractor in a part-time, ongoing capacity to strengthen the running of our finance function.
The role
Our accountant in the East Africa office handles the day-to-day transactions — raising invoices, recording expenses and paying supplier bills. You will work alongside them, providing the qualified oversight, payment control and monthly discipline that keep the finance function running well, and supporting their development along the way.
It is a varied role that combines hands-on accuracy with oversight and coaching. In practice, you will:
• Support, guide and coach our accountant so that accounting entries are made correctly and consistently, building their skills over time.
• Run payment preparation and approval process in the UK entity, approving payment runs for release by local signatories.
• Financial management of project funds: accounting, expense management, funds transfers and accurate financial reporting.
• Review monthly results and report, examining the Statement of Financial Activities and underlying entries, and tracking performance against budget.
• Own the budgeting process, maintaining and updating the existing annual budget and monitoring it each month, and reporting quarterly to funders.
• Run a reliable monthly close and provide cover for our accountant during leave or absence to keep the accounting running.
• Lead on risk, taking an active interest in risk assessment, management and internal financial controls, working with compliance officer for local regulatory compliance.
• Attend and co-ordinate the finance and development meeting, support Companies House and Charity Commissions returns and updates.
• Administrative support for grant applications and management of these.
Key requirements
• Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or CIPFA), or a finalist with strong relevant experience.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Proficient in Xero, and either proficient in Joiin or a similar consolidation system such as Hyperion and able to learn it quickly. Familiarity with payment platforms (desirable).
• Sound understanding of payment controls, dual authorisation and segregation of duties.
• Experience of maintaining a budget and reviewing monthly performance against it.
• Detail-focused and hands-on, with the judgement to review, oversee and coach a colleague.
• Charity or non-profit experience is useful but not essential, including experience of managing project funds, expenses and reporting to funders.
What does success look like
In this role, success means:
• Accounting is accurate and correctly recorded across both entities.
• Monthly review and reporting is completed reliably and on time.
• The budget process is mastered and embedded in monthly reporting, with performance tracked against budget categories.
• Dual authorisation of key processes is operating successfully.
• Key processes in both entities are learnt, so you can cover for the East Africa accountant in the event of absence.
• The payment process is smooth, reviewed, and presented to the Director for second approval.
• Risk assessment is formalised and internal financial controls are maintained.
Who it suits
This role would suit an accountant who wants to broaden their range of experience, or an experienced accountant from the commercial or non-profit sector who now wishes to work part-time and contribute to the smooth running of a respected institution.
Our systems
We use Xero for our accounting and Joiin for consolidated reporting. Both are already implemented and stable. Proficiency in Joiin is ideal; otherwise, experience of a similar system and a readiness to learn this software quickly is an advantage.
How to apply
Please send your CV with a short covering note explaining your interest and how your experience fits the key requirements above. We will review applications on a rolling basis and may close early if we find the right candidate.

Who we are
Chefs in Schools is a young, ambitious charity that’s rapidly growing. Our mission is to improve kids' health, through improving school food & food education.
We focus our efforts in areas of high socio-economic deprivation, where more than a third of children are entitled to free school meals, and diet-related disease is driving further inequality.
We support and train school kitchen teams to serve the best, freshest and tastiest food possible, alongside meaningful food education. We share learning and resources, aiming to inspire and enable others to follow our lead.
We’re backed by some of the biggest names in food and have ambitious targets to ensure every child has access to incredible school food and food education, setting them up for life with the skills and knowledge to feed themselves well.
About you and the role
As our Digital Manager, you will be the strategic anchor, quality guardian, and operational driving force behind our online presence. You will fully own the performance of our two primary websites: the main Chefs in Schools (CIS) platform and the complex, public-facing School Food Project (SFP) national resource and coalition hub. You will be directly accountable for driving traffic, mastering SEO, maintaining exceptional content quality, and ensuring a seamless, highly secure user experience against clear, measurable targets.
This is a leadership role that bridges technical execution and creative strategy. You will act as the crucial, confident link between our external technical agencies (who build and maintain the infrastructure of the sites) and our internal content creators and programme teams. Crucially, you will be an empowering manager, leading a dedicated digital sub-team of 1-2 direct reports, supporting them to manage day-to-day content workflows, e-learning administration, and community moderation.
We are looking for someone solutions-focused, collaborative, and deeply analytical who takes pride in helping a high-profile, mission-driven organization run at its absolute best.

Own the overarching strategy and performance of our two flagship websites (CIS and SFP), optimizing UX and UI for user journeys, design, and maximum accessibility standards across both sites.
-
Own and maintain a forward-looking, prioritized digital platform roadmap, striking a strategic balance between long-term feature development and agile, day-to-day reactive requests
-
Ensure both platforms—particularly the highly visible, national School Food Project website—maintain the highest standards of data security, uptime, quality assurance, and accessibility, proactively managing risks associated with public scrutiny.
-
Take end-to-end ownership of web analytics and data integrity—from configuring custom event tracking to reporting on performance—utilizing Google Analytics 4 (GA4) for quantitative metrics and Microsoft Clarity for behavioral insights.
-
Set, monitor, and report against clear performance targets spanning web traffic, user engagement, resource downloads, and search rankings.
-
Lead content and platform feature reviews through a risk mitigation lens—ensuring strict compliance with safeguarding, privacy, and coalition guidelines—while running targeted A/B tests to optimize user experience.
-
Lead on Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategy to maximize organic reach and connect school leaders, chefs, and partners to our resources.
-
Establish and manage digital incident response protocols, defining clear workflows for first responders, triage steps, and escalation pathways in the event of site outages, technical bugs, or security breaches.
2. Agency & Supplier Management
-
Act as the primary, confident technical interface with our external web development agencies and tech suppliers, holding them accountable to high-quality delivery.
-
Translate internal program, comms, and membership goals into clear technical design briefs, managing timelines and tracking project budgets.
-
Coordinate rigorous testing of new features, bug logging, and site maintenance to guarantee absolute platform stability before public deployments.
3. Team Leadership & Collaboration
-
Line manage, mentor, and support 1-2 direct reports (including roles focused on systems, community moderation, and resource uploads).
-
Work closely with the Communications team, External Relations team and Programme Leads to align digital development with broader organization campaigns and resource rollouts.
-
Oversee the content calendar and governance for both sites, ensuring all published assets strictly adhere to brand tone of voice and quality standards, working closely with the senior social media officer, engagement team to ensure cross org planning .
4. Data, CRM & Systems Integration

Oversee the data integrity and smooth technical flow between our website frontends, e-learning platform (LMS), and internal CRM systems.
-
Ensure all digital systems, data tracking, user permissions, and marketing platforms comply fully with GDPR and organizational data protection policies.
-
Construct and present scannable dashboards and reports (using Google Analytics and CRM data) for the Senior Leadership Team and stakeholders to demonstrate impact.
Essential Skills and Experience
-
Digital Product & Platform Leadership: Proven experience managing digital products, websites, or online platforms—ideally at a Manager level within a charity, agency, or fast-paced setting.
-
Complex Systems Integration: Strong confidence managing (or partnering with a technical agency to manage) integrated digital environments where the CMS, CRM, and LMS operate as a unified platform. You must be comfortable understanding and troubleshooting multi-layered user access permissions (e.g., tailored journeys for different school types and member tiers).
-
Foundational literacy in HTML and CSS to troubleshoot layout issues, understand site structure, and effectively translate technical requirements to developers.
-
Agency & Project Management: Confident experience collaborating with, briefing, and managing external technical partners, developers, or freelance technical staff to deliver complex features on time and on budget.
-
People Management: Demonstrable experience managing, mentoring, and developing direct reports, fostering a supportive and high-performing team environment.
