At Age UK, effective governance is key to delivering our mission and supporting older people. We are looking for a Senior Governance Manager to play a pivotal role supporting our most senior Boards and Committees, ensuring robust governance, regulatory compliance, and strategic alignment.

The Senior Governance Manager is a key role managing and providing all aspects of the governance and secretariat service relevant to the most senior Boards and Committees within the Age UK Group and deputising for the Head of Governance and Legal with respect to duties as Company Secretary.

The role manages a team of 4 Executive Assistant and Governance Officers and 1 Executive Assistant (Chair/CEO) and the ability to line manage this team throughout the Board and Committee governance cycle and on individual projects / tasks, while also providing consistent executive services is key.

This is a very visible role working closely with Trustees and Directors as well as the most senior staff within the Charity, providing advice and support.

The post holder will lead projects, anticipate future governance matters and proactively tackle issues, with the ability to prioritise and manage many projects and activities in a busy environment. Please see role description for all responsibilities.

We operate a hybrid working model. We offer flexibility on working from home but require the applicant to be in our central London office approximately 4 times per month, in line with meeting schedules. Travel costs to the London office are the responsibility of the postholder and are not covered by the charity.

Key Responsibilities

As an Events Manager, you will lead the planning and seamless delivery of a portfolio of high-profile Special Events throughout the year, ensuring every event aligns with and supports GOSH Charity’s fundraising strategy.

You’ll play a central role in building strong relationships with the committees that support our events, working collaboratively to deliver exceptional experiences, maximise fundraising opportunities, and inspire long-term supporter engagement. This is a hugely varied role where you will be involved with:
 

• Full management of event logistics.
• Ensure all events and other associated work undertaken are delivered to the highest standard.

About the team 

The Special Events team manages a comprehensive and diverse programme of 20-30 high-end events per year to raise funds, raise awareness and support the work of the hospital. The team produce many of the charity flagship events, such as black-tie gala dinners at the Natural History Museum and our annual Christmas Carol Concert, with the events raising between £100,000 to £1.5 million. In addition, the Special Events team works on a range of enrichment events for the patients at Great Ormond Street Hospital, like the annual winter party, The Snow Ball. The team holds relationships with a large external supporter base of high-value senior volunteers and committees who are pivotal to the success of the events. The team also act as an event agency for the rest of the charity, working with colleagues to deliver their event needs such as drinks receptions and stewardship events.

What the job involves

Great creative work relies on brilliant production behind the scenes. As our Film and Photography Production Officer, you’ll keep everything running smoothly, managing the logistics that support our film and photography output. From planning shoots and coordinating the finer details, to ensuring consent and documentation are accurate and up to date, you’ll play a key role in enabling high-quality work.

You’ll also maintain an organised and accessible Digital Asset Library, making it easy for the team to find and use what they need. While this isn’t a creative role, it’s central to helping our creatives deliver powerful content consistently and effectively.

In practice, this could include:

· Planning and coordinating video and photography shoots, including schedules, call sheets, travel, equipment hire and catering.

· Working closely with our Senior Film and Photography Officer and Manager to make sure production plans support the creative vision.

· Managing key production documentation such as risk assessments, contracts, permits and licensing agreements.

· Proactively identifying potential risks, scheduling challenges or resourcing gaps, and helping to find practical solutions.

· Commissioning and onboarding freelancers, coordinating rotas and helping maintain strong supplier relationships.

· Making sure consent processes are followed properly, with accurate records that meet governance and GDPR standards.

· Overseeing the day-to-day management of the Digital Asset Library, including uploading content with clear metadata, usage rights and categorisation.

· Supporting ongoing improvements to the Digital Asset Library so content remains easy to find, well managed and compliant across the organisation.

Forest Farm Peace Garden is a small East London charity offering ecotherapy and community gardening to support people’s mental health and wellbeing.

An exciting opportunity for a Data Services Manager has arisen at World Cancer Research Fund (WCRF). 

WCRF is the UK’s leading cancer prevention charity focusing on the link between cancer and risk factors such as diet, body weight and physical activity. 

We are seeking a Data Services Manager to lead and be responsible for the management, use and maintenance of systems and in-house CRM databases to support the achievement of the charity’s fundraising strategic objectives. You will be analysing and reviewing data and reporting on results that can then be used to build engagement with our supporters.You will also be responsible for a team of two people. 

The successful candidate will have proven experience of working with industry standard fundraising software solutions in the charity sector, ideally have knowledge of Claris Filemaker products and will have experience of creating new, and maintaining and updating existing, complex database systems.Experience of creating scripts and troubleshooting existing scripts is key, along with considerable hands-on experience of working with complex data sources, transfers and imports. An understanding and working knowledge of Data Protection regulations is required.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Church Buildings Team Leader to lead the Church Buildings team and play a key role in supporting parishes, clergy and diocesan governance structures in the care, repair and development of the Diocese’s significant church buildings estate.

About the Role

The Diocese is responsible for around 450 church buildings, of which 181 are Grade I listed, 93 are Grade II*, and 99 are Grade II. This is a portfolio of exceptional historic, architectural and community value, presenting both exciting opportunities and complex challenges.

Reporting to the Property Director, you will lead a skilled professional team and provide high-quality advice on church buildings, churchyards, faculty processes, and (subject to experience and training) mission and pastoral reorganisation. You will act as Secretary to the Diocesan Advisory Committee (DAC), working closely with clergy, PCCs, archdeacons, external advisers and diocesan colleagues.

The role will involve travel across the Diocese, with some evening and occasional weekend working (time off in lieu provided).

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Church Buildings team, including performance management and budgeting
• Support and advise the Diocesan Advisory Committee for the Care of Churches
• Provide expert guidance to parishes and clergy on the care, repair and improvement of church buildings and their contents
• Oversee faculty applications and permissions processes
• Build strong, constructive relationships with stakeholders across the Diocese and beyond
• Contribute to training events, communications and wider diocesan initiatives
• Depending on your experience, you will support mission and pastoral reorganisation and work relating to closed churches, with scope for training and phased responsibility of these aspects of the role

About You

You will bring substantial experience in the care or management of historic or ecclesiastical buildings, along with strong leadership skills and a collaborative approach.

You will also have:

• A degree (or equivalent experience) in a relevant field such as heritage management, architecture, surveying or building conservation
• Strong understanding of heritage legislation, permissions frameworks and national policy relating to church buildings
• Experience working with clergy, PCCs, volunteers or comparable stakeholder groups
• Proven line management experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• An ability to interpret legislation and provide clear, practical advice
• Affiliate membership (or above) of the IHBC and familiarity with the Faculty Jurisdiction Rules are desirable, as is experience of presentation and training delivery.

About Chapter One 

Chapter One is a dynamic, growing charity with a vision of a world in which all children have the literacy skills needed to thrive. Our mission is to close the reading gap by providing children with one-to-one support at the time they need it most. We work in thirteen areas/regions of the UK and will support over 4,000 children in 2026-27.

Our unique Online Reading Volunteer programme pairs struggling five to seven-year old (Y1-3) readers with reading support volunteers who are working professionals. The volunteer ask is very focused: readers commit 30 minutes a week to read with a child using a bespoke digital platform for an entire academic year. The results are transformative, boosting children's reading confidence and ability. 

From a school perspective, online reading volunteers provide direct, meaningful literacy support for up to 10 pupils per class. The programme is particularly suitable for communities where it might be challenging to find parents and other volunteers who can commit to physically visiting schools to boost reading. About the Role

Chapter One is seeking a Bradford Programme Manager who is an excellent communicator and is able both to motivate and support schools and teachers to implement our online reading volunteers programme, and also to ensure that the programme’s impact and benefit to disadvantaged communities is maximised throughout the academic year. 

The post is ideal for someone looking for part-time, flexible, term-time only work from a home base and who is able to travel frequently in and around West Yorkshire. The postholder will be joining a team of established Programme Managers who work in different parts of the UK and will need to have some flexibility to work some additional hours during busy autumn weeks, and conversely to work fewer hours during quieter periods of the year.

There are plans for future expansion in Bradford so the role may grow, in time.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Effectively explain Chapter One’s online reading volunteer programme and its benefits to school leaders and teachers.

• Install, setup and maintain Chapter One equipment in participating classrooms.

• Organise and conduct initial teacher training and follow-up.

• Ensure a smooth initial launch of Chapter One’s programme in every classroom.

• Fully understand the operation of the Chapter One platform and database and effectively communicate this to others as needed.

• Liaise with colleagues performing technical and volunteer support roles.

• Through regular visits to/contact with schools, provide on-going embedded professional learning and support to teachers throughout the year as needed.  

• Proactively monitor classroom adherence/fidelity to the Chapter One model, including systematic review of data reports and volunteer feedback, taking proactive action to resolve problems that arise.

• Analyse and manipulate data (largely in Google sheets) to produce reports and identify trends.

• Create regular data summaries for all participating classrooms.

• Lead annual review meetings for senior leadership at participating schools.

• Support programme monitoring, evaluation and research as required.

• Coordinate in person and virtual school ‘visits’ of volunteer teams to classrooms where necessary. This may include opportunities for Chapter One children to visit the office of the volunteers.

• Liaison with corporate partners as required.

• Weekly communication and status updates with Senior Programme Manager(s) and wider team.

• As a new school year approaches, secure commitments from returning schools and help find and target new schools to join Chapter One’s programme. 

We are looking for applicants with the following essential qualities:

• Highly motivated individual with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills. 

• Proven track record of working at a senior level in education, project management or a related field. 

• Proven strength in both written and verbal communication. 

• Highly IT literate, with excellent computer skills, able to troubleshoot software and technical  hardware issues, adept with Google suite and Microsoft Teams.

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Fundraising Development Manager to join the Bright Shadow team at a pivotal moment for our charity.

Responsible for developing and delivering Bright Shadow’s long-term income strategy, you will play an important role at the heart of our organisation. As well as managing our funding pipeline and relationships with funders and donors, you will build a diverse and sustainable funding portfolio to support our ambitious creative programme for people living with and affected by dementia.
