The Associate Head will lead a fifth, specialist team with defined functional responsibilities, including digital preservation, imaging services and inclusive cataloguing practice, while also coordinating work that sits across and between the Library's core teams.
This is a predominantly office-based role. Regular on-site attendance is expected to support effective leadership, collaboration, and the delivery of in-person services. Hybrid working is available, with the opportunity to work from home typically one day per week.
The closing date for this role is 06 September 2026.
Interviews will be held on 24 September in Lambeth Palace Library.

Who we are
Every year, thousands of people in the UK face court alone. Often through no choice of their own, people must represent themselves at a moment that could have life-changing outcomes. This includes loss of access to children or homelessness. At the same time, people facing court alone may find themselves up against a party with legal representation. They are instantly at a disadvantage and overwhelmed by the enormity of the challenges they are up against. We supported unrepresented litigants in the civil and family courts in England and Wales over 45,000 times last year.
We provide a safe space with volunteers who listen to each client’s individual story. Last year, over 1000 volunteers helped people to get their thoughts in order, problem-solve and decide next steps, source relevant and reliable legal information, explain complex procedures, complete court forms, and clearly present statements.
At a time when legal support is increasingly limited, we have a vision that no one should have to face court alone.
Who we're looking for
Ambitious, professional, committed and friendly. That describes us. If it also describes you and you have a passion for working with volunteers and supporting people navigating the civil and family courts, then we want to hear from you.

The opportunity:
This is a senior role with responsibility for the strategic direction, quality and impact of We Belong’s youth development portfolio. Reporting to the CEO and working as a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will lead programmes spanning early intervention, educational attainment, further and higher education, employability, skills development, youth leadership and progression into positive opportunities.
You will oversee the Let Us Learn Programme, Emerging Young Leaders Programme, Schools Excellence Programme and Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Bronze programme. You will also strengthen young people’s influence within We Belong through the Core Group, ensuring that lived experience informs organisational priorities and programme development.
The Context:
Following the landmark Supreme Court judgment in the Tigere case, which helped secure fairer access to higher education for young migrants, We Belong has continued working to ensure that young people can progress into higher education. This has included successful campaigning to increase scholarship opportunities and building strong relationships with educational institutions across the UK.
However, more work is needed. Young migrants can experience significant barriers to educational attainment, further and higher education, employment and personal development because of their immigration status.
These barriers can arise long before a young person reaches the point of applying to university, beginning an apprenticeship or entering employment. We recognise that university is not the only pathway to success and that young people should be supported to explore a range of routes that reflect their ambitions, strengths and circumstances.
Early intervention is therefore essential to ensure that young migrants understand their rights, receive accurate information and appropriate support, and are able to make informed decisions about their education, training, employment and future.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with young people, supporting their development and creating pathways for them to achieve their ambitions.
If successful, the applicant will be joining an award-winning youth charity and a staff team dedicated to improving outcomes for young migrants between the ages of 16-25 years old and empowering young people to create change.
Please submit your application by sending your CV and a cover letter explaining how your experience and background make you suitable for this role. Applications submitted without both a CV and a cover letter will not be considered.

About the Role
This is a standout opportunity for an ambitious corporate fundraiser to play a leading role in shaping London Youth's future corporate partnerships strategy.
Corporate partnerships are central to London Youth's growth ambitions, and as Senior New Business Manager ,you'll take ownership of developing and converting a pipeline of high-value prospects into long-term strategic partners. Focusing on five and six-figure opportunities, you'll secure transformational support from businesses that share London Youth's commitment to creating brighter futures for young people across the capital.
Reporting to the Head of Corporate Partnerships, you'll drive the full new business cycle, identifying opportunities, building relationships, developing compelling partnership propositions and negotiating support from some of the UK's leading companies. Working closely with senior colleagues, trustees and supporters, you'll have access to influential networks and the opportunity to build relationships at the highest levels.
This is a role for someone who enjoys combining strategic thinking with hands-on relationship building. You'll be equally comfortable researching prospects, facilitating introductions, leading stakeholder meetings and crafting persuasive proposals that inspire businesses to invest in London Youth's work.
About You
We're looking for an exceptional relationship builder with a proven ability to secure significant new business income through corporate partnerships. You'll bring a demonstrable track record of developing and winning high-value partnerships, and experience securing six-figure opportunities would be particularly attractive.
You'll be a confident communicator with excellent proposal writing and presentation skills, able to engage and influence senior stakeholders while building credibility and trust. Equally important is your ability to think creatively, spot opportunities and develop compelling partnership ideas that deliver value for both organisations.
Most importantly, you'll be ambitious, proactive and driven by impact. You'll thrive in a target-driven environment, enjoy working collaboratively with colleagues and be motivated by the opportunity to improve the lives of children and young people across London.
