About Citadel

Citadel is a volunteer-powered homelessness prevention project that supports people experiencing, or at risk of homelessness, to find a place to live, settle into a home, and feel part of a welcoming and supportive community. Coordinators recruit and train volunteers before matching them with a person referred for support. Coordinators and volunteers work closely with people who have been referred, to establish what matters to them and how best they can support them.

About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen as an Empowered Living Team (ELT) Coordinator at St Joseph’s. You will work as a key member of a committed and creative Therapies team, which offers innovative, holistic and person-aligned care and support to people with palliative and end-of-life care needs, and to their families and caregivers.

The post holder will provide coordination for, and service development of, the Empowered Living Service. This community-based service provides outstanding person-centred rehabilitative enablement for people living with a palliative diagnosis. Following a joint professional assessment, a detailed programme of patient-led goals is enabled and supported by a trained ELT volunteer in the patient’s own home. Volunteer recruitment, training, patient matching and regular support group/1-1 supervision is led by the ELT coordinator.

• A skilled professional with experience in health and social care, education or community development.

About the Nightlight Crisis Service

Hertfordshire Mind Network (HMN) has been delivering Nightlight, part of Hertfordshire’s crisis alternatives pathway, for the last 8 years. We are proud to provide urgent support, crisis intervention and emotional support to people experiencing a mental health crisis in Hertfordshire as an alternative to statutory pathways. We provide support to adults across Hertfordshire 7 days a week, 365 days a year through our Helpline, Crisis Cafes and 24/7 Crisis House.

We aim to provide a safe space for people in crisis to talk and feel supported, be listened to without judgement, access relevant support with problem solving and facilitate access to external services when necessary.

As a senior member of our diverse team, you will work closely with service users in crisis by using a person-centred approach to ensure that each individual is supported with dignity and respect. By honouring the individual experience of each service user, we are able to respect their autonomy as well as encourage and facilitate positive steps towards management of crisis and recovery.

About the Role

As a member of the HMN Senior Management Team (SMT) and the Service Manager for our Crisis provision across Hertfordshire (Nightlight), you will be leading the total provision of our 24/7 365 week Crisis House, Daylight, Helpline and Crisis Cafés. You will also oversee our A&E Liaison Project, supporting staff operating in A&E to divert individuals into community crisis provision.

You will ensure the provision is safe, effective and person centered; be accountable for achieving KPI’s, data reporting to Commissioners and the wider SMT & CEO, and develop the service using evidence based data, strategic thought & planning.

The objectives of HMN’s Nightlight Crisis provision is:

• To improve the mental and emotional wellbeing of people experiencing a mental health crisis in Hertfordshire.
• To provide 24/7 365 support for individuals experiencing a mental health crisis.
• To increase early access to help for people experiencing a mental health crisis in Hertfordshire, by providing a clear and effective pathway to other services provided by HMN and other third sector and statutory providers.
• To remain a source of independent support for all service users.
• To provide an alternative pathway to people in distress and crisis to support better outcomes and reduce the demand on statutory crisis services and emergency services.

The Role:
The Head of Income Generation will lead the development and delivery of a sustainable, multi-year income strategy to support Aspens’ future growth and impact.

Working as part of the Inclusive Executive Leadership Team, you will provide strategic leadership across fundraising, partnerships, marketing and trading activity. You will strengthen existing income streams while identifying and developing new opportunities including major donors, trusts and foundations, corporate partnerships, and social enterprise initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

You will:

• Develop and deliver a multi-year income generation strategy aligned with organisational goals
• Lead annual income planning, budgeting and performance reporting
• Grow income from trusts and foundations, securing significant multi-year funding
• Develop and implement a Major Gifts strategy, cultivating high-net-worth donors
• Establish and grow legacy and in-memoriam giving programmes
• Build and manage corporate partnerships and sponsorship opportunities
• Oversee community fundraising campaigns and events
• Provide strategic oversight of retail, café and trading activity to maximise net income
• Identify and develop social enterprise opportunities that balance impact with financial return
• Strengthen impact measurement and CRM systems to support effective reporting and donor engagement
• Lead, inspire and develop a high-performing income generation team

We are looking for a strategic and commercially minded leader with a strong track record in fundraising and income generation.

You will bring:

• Significant senior-level experience in income generation within the charity or social impact sector
• A proven track record securing major gifts, high-value partnerships and six-figure grants
• Strong strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting capability
• Experience leading and developing high-performing teams
• The ability to translate impact and operational data into compelling funding narratives
• Experience using CRM systems and pipeline management to drive fundraising performance
• Excellent relationship-building and influencing skills, including at Executive or Board level

A full driving licence and access to a vehicle is required and essential for this role.

We’re looking for a part-time Executive Assistant (20 hours per week) to support our Executive Leaders and help Samaritans continue to be there for people when it matters most.​

As an Executive Assistant, you’ll be highly organised and a great communicator. You’ll be responsible for providing highly efficient and effective support across all administrative and organisational activities. Working in a responsive team you will be one of the first points of contact for the Executive Leadership Team and will assist with administration and organisation of diaries for meetings and travel arrangements, preparing briefs and drafting a range of communications. You’ll attend key meetings in a supporting role and ensure efficiency and timely support to the Leadership team.​

​You’ll also assist with front-line reception administration services in the Ewell (Surrey) Office as required.

Contract terms:

£32,000 - £34,000 per annum, plus benefits (£18,285 - £19,428 pro-rata for 20 hours)
