We are looking for a committed and detail oriented Information and Operations Officer to help keep our mission‑led organisation running smoothly. In this role, you will be supporting the day‑to‑day operations, manage key information systems, support training and HR administation, and contribute to research that strengthens our fundraising function. You will work across the organsation supporting our staff, service users and partners. 

Who we are - Hibiscus is a feminist, anti-racist and intersectional women’s organisation that has delivered high-impact advocacy and advice services to Black and minoritised migrant women in contact with the Criminal Justice and Immigration systems for nearly 40 years. Hibiscus centres the lived experiences of women and continuously supports them to rebuild their lives through rights-based and justice-inspired responses.

What we do -Hibiscus delivers women-centred trauma informed support through an array of services including community-based provision which also address the needs of women leaving the prison and detention regimes.

The Key tasks of the role will be be as follows 

Summary of Key Main Tasks

• Maintain smooth day‑to‑day office operations, including supplies, equipment, facilities, enquiries and visitor/Service user support.
• Manage organisational information systems, records, filing, databases and GDPR Compliance. 
• Provide administrative support across HR processes, including recruitment, onboarding and DBS checks.
• Coordinate training activities and maintain accurate learning and development records for the entire organsation. 
• Support research and fundraising tasks, including gathering information, maintaining pipelines and assisting with donor engagement for the CEO/SLT
• Contribute to improving operational systems and ensuring compliance with organisational policies, data protection and health and safety.
• Ensure you have a high level of understanding around confidentialitiy and data protection, handling sensitive informaiton appropriately at all times 
• You will also be the key contact for the managing office relationships ensuring staff,service users are supported on a daily basis.

About the role

We are looking for an excellent and experienced relationship fundraiser, who excels at identifying and building inspiring and genuine connections with high net-worth individual donors, who have the capacity to give six- and seven- figure gifts.

This role requires a motivated, creative and confident individual, who thrives on getting out and about and meeting with supporters. The role will help shape the Business Development and Philanthropy Team’s plans to deliver outstanding donor engagement and stewardship so that our donors are inspired and proud to support us and enjoy their philanthropic giving experience. This role will make a vital contribution to delivering a step change in our philanthropic income growth to support Practical Action’s strategic ambition and mission.

About you

We are seeking a motivated, creative and confident individual, who thrives on getting out and about and meeting with supporters. You will have at least 5 years’ experience of securing gifts from high net-worth individuals making gifts privately or through family trusts, donor advised funds and corporations.

Accountabilities

• Lead the process of identifying and cultivating individual donor prospects (UK and international) capable of giving six- and seven- figure gifts, fully understanding their funding preferences, criteria and fit with Practical Action.
• Steward a portfolio of loyal and high-quality donors, giving five and six figure annual gifts and ensure our donors receive exceptional stewardship, feel valued for their support and become advocates of Practical Action to their friends, family and networks.
• Work with autonomy and represent Practical Action at one-to-one meetings and networking events with high net-worth individuals.
• Work with senior colleagues and the Board of Trustees to identify prospects, build relationships and secure gifts from high net-worth individuals.
• Distil complex information and messaging into powerful, emotive and high-quality tailored communications (including pitches, cases for support, bespoke proposals and donor reports) that demonstrate impact and inspire giving by individual donors and family trusts.

Person Specification

To be successful in the role, the ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience:

• Significant fundraising experience (5 years+) of securing gifts from high net-worth individuals making gifts privately, or through family trusts, donor advised funds and corporations.
• Excellent knowledge about philanthropy sector developments, trends and key philanthropic organisations and networks in the UK and internationally.
• A strong and proven track record of building new prospect pipelines and of managing a portfolio of donors, including demonstrable experience of securing six- and seven-figure gifts.
• An experienced and confident networker with a proven ability to build and maintain a diverse group of contacts, at all levels, both internally and externally, and represent Practical Action to inspire, secure commitment and support.
• Knowledge of data protection principles, legal requirements, and ethical fundraising practice is essential.

Skills, Abilities and Competencies:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to summarise and distil complex issues in an inspiring way.
• Ability and confidence to influence and manage successful internal relationships including writing reports and donor meeting briefings for senior colleagues.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment, ensuring our donors receive excellent stewardship throughout their relationship with Practical Action.
• Strong project management skills to lead approaches backed up by an appropriate level of research and analysis.
• Enthusiasm and willingness to trial, learn and adapt — whether building on existing major giving experience or trialling new ideas and approaches to reach new donors audiences, for example next generation or diaspora giving.

About this job

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Income and Gift Aid Accountant Assistant to help us make sure every penny counts in our mission to stop MS. You'll play a key role in managing our income processing and supporting Gift Aid claims to help us maximise the value of every donation.

You'll ensure that donations recorded in our CRM system match the funds received, resolving discrepancies and supporting our income processes to run efficiently. Working closely with our Customer Services and Fundraising teams you’ll be at the heart of making sure our financial data is accurate and robust.

You’ll also assist with preparing and checking Gift Aid claims, helping us claim back vital extra funds at no additional cost to our supporters. Your detail driven approach will help us continue to build a strong and transparent foundation for everything we do.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need a good understanding of financial accounting principles, strong Excel and IT skills, and a collaborative problem-solving approach. Excellent communication and organisational skills will also be essential as you work closely with teams across the organisation to ensure our income records are accurate and efficient.

PURPOSE OF ROLE: ​
The Head of Finance  will report to the COO, and work closely with the Senior Leadership team, supporting the Theatre’s strategic objectives and decision-making. The postholder will provide strategic and operational leadership to a small and dedicated finance team and will be responsible for the financial management of the Theatre and its subsidiaries, in alignment with organisational strategic plans and budgets, and in compliance with Charity and Company accounting standards and practices.  This role is hands on and works closely with each department. ​

Key Objectives ​

• Working with the COO to provide Strategic Management: Budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.​
• Oversee day to day financial operations, leading and managing the Finance team​
• Support the COO to ensure regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies are met, especially in relation to charity accounting regulations ​
• Managing statutory accounts, external audits, and specialist areas like VAT and Theatre Tax Relief.​
• Implement efficient and effective Finance reporting to meet the evolving needs of the business, supporting deep dive analysis for the Executive team where required​
• Working with the COO, and SLT on risk management

Responsibilities ​
Financial Leadership and Strategy ​

• Lead and deliver the financial strategy for Belgrade Theatre to ensure long term financial sustainability. ​
• Support the COO in shaping financial planning and risk management. ​
• Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and cash flow plans aligned with strategic priorities. ​
• Provide financial analysis and insight to support organisational decision making and business planning. ​
• Deputise for the COO when required. ​

Financial Operations and Systems Optimisation ​

• Oversee and continuously improve financial processes and systems​
• Work with external contractors and internal teams to support integration projects between EPOS, CRM, and accounting systems, reducing manual processing and improving data accuracy. ​
• Proactively identify opportunities for further automation, system improvements, and app integrations that enhance control, reduce costs, or increase capacity. ​
• Ensure efficient month-end and year-end processes, including reconciliations, accruals, and reporting. ​
• Maintain oversight of ledgers, payroll, VAT and banking arrangements. ​
• Ensure compliance and accuracy in grant and restricted fund accounting. ​

Reporting and Analysis ​

• Produce monthly management accounts for the COO and work with the COO to produce quarterly reports for the Finance Committee and Trustee Board meetings. 
• Report on performance against budget, forecast, and prior year, including cash flow and balance sheet commentary. ​
• Provide clear and concise analysis and recommendations to support decision making. ​
• Oversee preparation of detailed project and grant reports for funders and assist the development team with the financial aspects of fundraising bids. 

Governance, Compliance, and Risk 

• Manage the audit process, ensuring delivery of compliant and timely statutory accounts in line with Charity SORP and Companies Act requirements. ​
• Act as key point of contact for external auditors, HMRC, and other regulatory bodies. ​
• Work with senior colleagues to ensure appropriate financial controls, risk management, and business continuity plans are in place. ​
• Maintain awareness of developments in charity finance legislation and best practice.​

Leadership and Team Development ​

• Line manage and develop the finance team.​
• Provide leadership, guidance, and professional development, building a collaborative and accountable team culture. ​
• Work closely with colleagues across departments to improve financial literacy and promote robust financial management across the organization​

General ​

• Work at all times within the Theatre’s policies, including but not limited to our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, Dignity at Work, Environmental, Health and Safety and Code of Conduct for Staff  ​
• Develop a strong understanding of the Belgrade Theatre brand, act as an ambassador for the Theatre in general​

What We Are Looking For

EXPERIENCE​

Essential:​

• Significant, proven experience in a senior finance role, including both strategic and hands-on delivery (qualified accountant ACA, ACCA, CIMA). ​
• Experience working with modern cloud-based accounting systems. ​
• Proven ability to design and embed effective financial controls and processes. ​
• Experience producing management accounts, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow reports. ​
• Experience liaising with auditors and preparing consolidated statutory accounts under Charity SORP. ​
• Strong financial and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail. ​
• Ability to work strategically while remaining hands-on in delivery. ​
• Proactive problem-solver with a track record of delivering system and process improvements. ​
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to explain finance clearly to non-financial colleagues. ​
• Collaborative, supportive management style with the ability to motivate and develop staff.  Experience of leading a small team.​

Other Information

• The Belgrade operates a House Agreement based on the UK Theatre (formerly TMA)/BECTU (Broadcasting, Entertainment, Cinematograph and Theatre Union) Agreement and its Staff Handbook outlines the terms on sick pay, maternity leave and pay, paternity leave and pay, grievance and discipline and other relevant staff matters​
• Employees’ health and safety is of paramount importance, and Management insists that an employee obtains written express permission to take on any paid work or other employment during periods of TOIL (Time Off In Lieu) or holiday. No permission will be given for the first 28 days of holiday as this is a statutory requirement​
• On appointment the successful candidate must be able to provide the correct documents as proof of their right to work in the UK.​
• The candidate’s contract of employment with the Belgrade Theatre does not come into force until the first day of work​
• Staff are entitled to tickets for shows at the Belgrade Theatre, subject to particular conditions and 10% discount at the Theatre’s Café and Bar

• Notice period: Four weeks during probation, three months following​
• Working Hours: Your normal hours of work will be 39 hours per week over Monday to Friday. There is no provision for payment of overtime​
• Overtime: Is not payable but 6th day working and excessive additional hours will attract TOIL (time off in lieu) if agreed in advance with the Line Manager​

The Foundation has just started using a new CRM after undergoing a CRM migration from Raiser’s Edge, a very exciting time to be joining the Foundation! What does the role involve?

• Manage data processes, imports and exports of all fundraising data including direct debits, new donors, email signups etc. in accordance with agreed protocols and in agreement with CRM Manager.
• Ensure that the use of the Fundraising database and the capture of all data from supporters or prospects conforms to data protection guidelines including GDPR relating to supporter preferences and consent.
• Support training for colleagues using the new CRM (Beacon) and help ensure all members are trained and kept up to date on new features and enhancements as they require to do their job effectively.
• Support the reconciliation of the bank statement with Beacon and ensure the Finance team know where to find information to enable accurate coding for management accounts.

What skills, knowledge and experience are we looking for?​

• Demonstrable relevant experience working in Fundraising, or a Charity database team role using Raiser’s Edge or any database similar, with experience of CRMs in general.
• Evidenced experience of managing high volumes of personal data using a large and complex supporter/CRM database.

BeSpace is a small but growing Christian charity with a big vision to see a future where every child has space to develop personal tools to pray, reflect and grow spiritually throughout their lives, helping churches, schools and communities to flourish.

We have seen incredible impact through developing prayer and reflections spaces in schools across Oxfordshire. Since 2010, over 65,000 children have experienced prayer and reflection spaces led by local churches, trained and resourced by us. About the Role

We are looking for an Operations Coordinator to cover adoption leave, likely for one year. This is a vital role in keeping BeSpace running smoothly and enabling our small but growing team to thrive. You will also, where needed, play a hands-on role in supporting churches and schools in our work. 

In this role, you will:

• Take responsibility for key operational processes including recruitment, HR, and volunteer management systems — not only maintaining them effectively but actively seeking ways to innovate and strengthen them, with guidance and support from senior leaders. 
• Manage finance administration, including donations, CRM (Beacon), and Gift Aid claims.
• Project manage BeSpace events and provide admin support to the team.

Director of Finance & Corporate Services

The Director of Finance & Corporate Services is responsible for the proper conduct of all aspects of the day to day financial management of the ELMT.

Finance Management

• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes.
• Ensure robust financial controls and compliance with charity regulations and accounting standards.
• Manage cash flow, reserves, and funding streams including grants, donations, and contracts.
• Maintain an annual and a five-year financial forecast to underpin the strategic objectives.

Governance & Compliance

Finance, Sustainability & Compliance

• Optimise financial controls and processes in order to minimise financial risks, and ensure organisational compliance.
• Ensure compliance with funding agreements across all the teams and services.
• Ensure monthly reconciliation of all control accounts including creditors, debtors, payroll and banks; the preparation of monthly management accounts; and preparation/maintenance of control over all non-transactional journals such as accruals, prepayments, fixed assets/depreciation.
• A sound understanding of Islamic financial principles and their application within a charitable and governance context.
• Lead the strategic financial planning process, delivering annual and forecast budget plans, periodic forecasts within year and funding requirements, working closely with CEO and SMT.
• Plan and coordinate all tax, finance and treasury management practice and policy, with reference to charitable status, cash management and investments, reviewing and reporting on investment portfolios on a monthly basis.
• Ensure monthly payroll is accurate and timely, including all matters related to HMRC, and PAYE submissions.
• Have a full oversight of contracting and procurement activities and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, always seeking value for money, and where possible, cost saving opportunities.
• Check the condition of all assets and conduct an ongoing review of whether assets and investments are being put to best use and serving the organisation’s interests.
• Work with the CEO to identify new revenue-generating tactics.
• Responsible for the preparation of annual accounts to prescribed standards, managing effective relationships with the auditors, taking responsibility for the completion and submission of statutory/regulatory reporting in line with prescribed timelines, and keeping up to date with regulatory and statutory requirements within the charity sector.
• Lead on The Charity Commission reporting, including the annual review/trustee report and updating the organisation’s information held by The Charity Commission and Companies House.

Operational Excellence

• Review and improve organisational processes across ELMT, including Operations, Facilities, HR and Policy, ensuring they are efficient, effective and aligned with best practice.
• Identify and propose practical improvements to systems, policies and ways of working, driving internal efficiency and increasing organisational impact.
• Ensure alignment between systems, policies and processes, enabling departments to work effectively together and supporting ELMT’s strategic objectives.

Information Technology Management

You’ll know how to turn insight into action, how to use data intelligently (without losing the human touch), and how to lead teams through change with confidence and care. You’ll be comfortable holding performance, using financial and KPI information to support delivery and decision-making.

appropriate assistance, including financial assistance for welfare needs, advice, and support to
families in the management of finances, and assessment of child specific needs

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Caseworkers provide support and advice to eligible individuals in line with the policies of the
Naval Children’s Charity. They work closely with other organisations to ensure that children and
families receive appropriate and prompt support.

The role of caseworker is to assess the needs of the children and family and provide
recommendations for appropriate assistance to the Senior Caseworkers and Senior Leadership
Team. This includes financial assistance for welfare needs, advice and support to families in the
management of personal affairs and finances, and assessment of child specific needs.

Caseworkers should be empathetic and non-judgmental.

Caseworkers will receive induction training both in house and externally to include use of the
bespoke CMS (Casework Management System) used by the Armed Forces Charity Sector. The
role is subject to DBS checking. It may require some home visits and travel around the UK.
Triage:

• To act as the first point of contact to the Casework team for beneficiaries, providing a calm, supportive and professional welcome
• To complete an initial assessment of need by triaging telephone calls, emails and applications received through Mosaic, Lightning Reach and other referral routes.
• Contact families who submit an enquiry through the Charity website or via email
• To use active listening and empathetic communication to build trust and ensure beneficiaries feel heard
• Accurately record beneficiary information in the CRM system, ensuring timely, detailed, and confidential case notes

• Keep thorough, confidential and systematic records of all matters concerning enquiries, applications, and grant awards in accordance with the Naval Children’s Charity’s data protection policies

Person specification

Essential

• Understanding of military life and the impact on serving personnel, veterans and their families
• Be able to demonstrate empathy, emotional intelligence, and non judgmental communication
• Evidenced knowledge and experience of charitable and financial support to beneficiary groups
• Strong communication, organisational and record keeping skills

Desirable 

• Confident using IT including Microsoft Office; knowledge of grants or other CRM
• Experience of recording information into a CRM (training will be provided)
• Familiarity with the Royal Navy and the Service charity sector
• Evidence of working effectively in co-operation with other charities and organisations.

A Rocha UK is the only national Christian conservation charity in the UK. Our mission is to mobilise Christians and churches to care for the natural world. We do this currently through a number of programmes reaching different parts of the Christian community: Eco Church for local churches, Partners in Action facilitating conservation efforts by Christian land managers, Wild Christian, supporting individuals and households to act on nature, including by campaigning, and our Convening programme, supporting Christian environmental leaders. We also contribute to several networks - Christian and secular - involved in both practical conservation and climate change work, as well as research, policy and campaigning.

Purpose of Job:

Working closely with a Steering Group of senior staff and expert volunteers, you’ll coordinate the modular Christian Environmental Mobilisers (CEMs) course, from helping refine course modules, liaising with expert contributors and ensuring course promotion through A Rocha’s communications, to managing participant registration, scheduling online learning sessions, and helping evaluate impact. The role will report to Andy Atkins, CEO of A Rocha UK and an experienced campaigner and mobiliser.
