About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Fundraising and Events Coordinator to support our growing portfolio of physical fundraising events. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating and delivering a range of challenges and events, from local charity walks to international treks and marathons. This is an ideal position for someone early in their career who is passionate about events, fitness, and purpose-driven work.

This hands-on role will help you build valuable experience in events fundraising, logistics, supporter care, and campaign delivery while working across teams to ensure each event achieves its fundraising goals.

Key Responsibilities: 

Events & Challenge Coordination

Assist in the planning and delivery of Charity Right’s physical fundraising events, including but not limited to:

• Local charity walks and runs
• UK marathons and half-marathons
• International treks (e.g., Everest Base Camp, Kilimanjaro)
• International marathons and endurance challenges
• Support logistics such as registration, travel coordination, permits, supplies, safety planning, and postevent wrap-ups
• Liaise with event partners, tour operators, venues, and sponsors where relevant
• Ensure all events are aligned with Charity Right's values and fundraising stand Participant Support
• Provide first-class support to event participants from sign-up to post-event follow-up
• Help supporters set up and optimise their fundraising pages
• Motivate and encourage participants to reach their fundraising targets
• Maintain regular communication with participants throughout their journey

Marketing and Promotion

• Work with the Marketing team to create engaging promotional content for each event/challenge 
• Support email campaigns, social media content, and digital materials to drive sign-ups 
• Assist in creating fundraising packs, challenge guides, and event-day materials Data and Reporting
• Maintain accurate data on participants and donors using the CRM system
• Contribute to event impact reporting, including feedback collection and case studies
• Track fundraising progress against targets and report on key metrics

Volunteer Engagement

• Help recruit and brief volunteers for relevant events and activities
• Ensure volunteers are well-supported and represent Charity Right's values

Essential Skills and Experience

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously

The Supporter Engagement Lead is a newly established role responsible for increasing income from individual supporters by project managing audience led appeals and campaigns, devising and delivering compelling supporter journeys that grow long-term engagement and income for the charity. We’re looking for a Legal Adviser who sees law as part of a wider movement for justice to join our social justice legal team in London. You’ll work alongside people harmed by drug criminalisation, poverty, and inequality — delivering outreach advice and casework in benefits, housing, and debt, while contributing to policy and advocacy that strengthens communities and challenges harm at its roots. If you believe legal work should build power, shift systems, and stand in solidarity with those most affected — this could be the role for you.

Since Release’s inception in 1967, the organisation has continuously and actively advocated for open access to justice for all individuals with a specific emphasis on substance misuse and dependency. By addressing the legal needs of people who use drugs and those in recovery the consequences can have a profound and positive affect not only for the individual but also for those who live, support and work with them. Reducing health and income inequalities’ significantly improves a person’s life chances and integration back into their community. Whilst legal services are available to the public via other sources, our client group will often be unable to access such services because of fear of stigma or discrimination.

We also operate a national drugs and legal helpline, and produce a number of free informative publications for the public, and specialist guidance material aimed at professionals in the substance misuse and dependency field.

This is a full-time position (35 hours per week) working a minimum of 3 days a week from our office in Spitalfields, London with the remaining 2 days working from home, if desired. The working hours are 10am – 6pm Monday to Friday with a one-hour lunch break.

The post holder will join our social justice legal team and will be required to deliver a minimum of 2 services through our in-person and ‘virtual’ legal services to clients attending alcohol/drug treatment centres, homeless day centres, and sexual health clinics. The legal advice, assistance and representation we provide has a particular focus on debt, housing including homelessness, and welfare benefits. The post holder will also be required (after a period of induction and/or training) to provide advice on Release’s national legal helpline pertaining to the criminal law and the criminal justice system related to drugs offences, and broader legal advice through our new Harm Reduction Hub drop-in service. In addition to the delivery of legal services, the postholder will also be required to assist with the policy work undertaken by the organisation.

We have been successful in tendering for legal aid contracts for Community Care and Public Law, and there may be opportunities for the post holder to work within these in the future.

As a member of our dynamic social justice legal team, based in London, your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering a minimum 2 legal outreach services at alcohol/drug treatment centres, homeless day centres and sexual health clinics in the London area, and with training deliver our expanding ‘virtual’ legal outreach services to clients elsewhere in the country.
• Completing casework resulting from our legal outreach services on issues including welfare benefits, housing, and debt;
• Providing advice to the public and professionals about legal issues connected with drug use (training will be provided);

We are looking for an Insight Consultant to lead the design and delivery of research that strengthens NUS’ communications, campaigns and public narrative. This role ensures that our messaging, media work and influencing activity are informed by credible, timely and inclusive insight from students and students’ unions.

You will play a vital role in planning and delivering national student surveys, managing qualitative and quantitative research projects, and translating findings into compelling insight that supports communications and campaigning activity. You will work closely with communications colleagues to ensure research outputs are accessible, engaging and usable across a range of channels.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of research and communications, and who is motivated by using evidence to shape narratives, challenge power and create change for students.

You should have experience of designing and managing research projects, including surveys and other data collection methods, and of presenting insight in ways that resonate with different audiences. Experience of working with communications, campaigns or public-facing teams is highly desirable.

Purpose of the Role:
To work across Slough to develop and embed processes that enable the participation of children and young people (CYP) with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in decision-making and service planning, delivery, and evaluation.

This role involves empowering CYP with SEND to make a difference, helping them develop their skills, abilities, and confidence to contribute positively to outcomes for other children and young people. The postholder will work collaboratively with partners across education, health, social care, and the voluntary sector to ensure best practice in participation, and that SEND CYP have a strong voice in shaping local services.

This is a specialist role requiring a senior participation officer with knowledge of reasonable adjustments, safeguarding, service design, and co-production, as well as experience of working with CYP with SEND. Creative, enthusiastic candidates with a desire to learn are encouraged to apply.

The post links directly to Slough’s SEND improvement outcomes, particularly empowering CYP with SEND to influence local policy, service design, and review services to better meet their needs.

Location: The contract for the role is London-based – it means that while you can be working anywhere in the UK, you are responsible for the cost of your travel to the London-based office. On a regular basis we ask everyone to be in the office once a month for team day and every other month for Finance and Resources Team Day. Other meetings will happen that will also require in-person presence, but we can’t specify now how frequent they might be.

Job Description

You will lead on and be responsible for the provision of clinical care in our Wigan and Leigh services, ensuring that our standards of care allow those we support to achieve their recovery goals. Using your knowledge and expertise, you will provide professional leadership and supervision to clinical staff working within the service, working hand in hand with the Head of Service Delivery to promote continuous improvement and ensure that evidence-based clinical practice is delivered in line with national, organisational and local standards.

Key priorities will include:

• Actively promoting strong and effective leadership within a care quality governance structure that is built on open engagement, enquiry and learning
• Working collaboratively to maximise the potential for delivering excellent care quality
• Assisting operational management to ensure robust management and care quality structures for the delivery of high quality, effective and safe services within agreed financial limits and to contractual requirements
• Delivering opioid substitution and detoxification treatment, alcohol detoxification and relapse prevention treatment and other clinical interventions
• Playing a key role in the monitoring, development and improvement of the clinical service
• Ensuring all clinical interventions take place within the context of a recovery oriented integrated service approach

This role will be based on site across our services in Wigan and Leigh. Hours of work will be Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.00pm and occasional Saturday working will be required. The salary for this role is £49,261.60 to £61,800, depending on experience.

Essential Skills

We’d be excited to see the following in your application:

• First level nurse registration or registered pharmacist
• Successful completion of a qualification to fulfil the role of supplementary/independent prescriber, holding appropriate entry on the NMC register or GPhC register
• Completion of a postgraduate course/study programme relevant to substance misuse
• Substantial experience working with substance misuse clients and harm minimisation in drug treatment
• Demonstrable experience and successful track record of responsibility and development of others, along with experience of providing a supervisory role within a multidisciplinary team
• Experience and awareness of relationship between offending and substance misuse and need of special groups
• Demonstrable knowledge and understand of current health and social care issues

As Fundraising Officer, you will play a key role in supporting individuals and communities to raise vital funds. You will provide warm, practical and responsive support throughout their fundraising journey — from helping them set up online fundraising pages, to answering questions, sharing their stories and celebrating their achievements.
