The Senior Programme Development Specialist leads the design of complex proposals – including bids £20m+ and FCDO commercial contracts. They also play a vital role ensuring quality bid submissions to a variety of donors, aligning with CARE international UK’s impact objectives, in particular gender justice and local leadership.
About the role
As the Senior Programme Development Specialist, you will manage a pipeline of institutional funding opportunities and be responsible for securing a significant proportion of CIUK’s restricted income. You will work in partnership with CARE country offices, national and international partners, finance colleagues, and technical advisory teams to identify, scope, bid for and secure new funding for programmes through both grant and commercial contract modalities. You will deliver a high-quality bidding process, submitting applications to funders such as FCDO, DEC, START Fund, Education Cannot Wait, Jersey Overseas Aid Committee, and Power of Nutrition. You will build learning from existing CARE programmes into bid design and design programmes in line with CARE policies and standards, as well as donor standards.
About you
You are a passionate and experienced funding specialist, with a proven track record in fundraising from key UK donors – including solid experience of commercial bidding and FCDO frameworks, trusts and foundations and corporate donors. You will have the ability to lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams during proposal preparation, working with partners and colleagues in multiple locations. You have experience in and very good understanding of programme design and meeting institutional and corporate donor requirements. You have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. You are capable of building strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders; you are a positive collaborator and a strong team player.

Scotty’s is seeking an experienced bereavement counsellor, with a strong focus on Scotty’s adult community, to join our small but effective team. The role involves supporting adults, and also children and young people affected by bereavement, which may include death in service, illness, or suicide.

Our Bereavement Counsellor will be a valuable member of the SUPPORT Programme, delivering online 1:1 and group support to those who need it most.But all four programmes work closely together (we call this the Families team).
Role Mission:
The Scotty’s Bereavement Counsellor will work with our adults, children and families who are struggling with their grief to help them understand their feelings, develop coping skills and build their new life.
This role will be accountable for:
Providing emotional support, counselling and therapeutic interventions to individuals and families coping with grief and loss. The role involves working compassionately and ethically with anyone affected by military connected bereavement, helping them process their emotions and find ways to adjust to life after a loss.
The Bereavement Counsellor will work collaboratively with the SUPPORT team and the wider Families team to ensure that all work undertaken by Scotty’s is delivered in a supportive and sensitive manner and that the whole Scotty community receive exemplary care.
What are the 3-month goals for this role:
Within three months the Counsellor will have developed their knowledge of the range of services that Scotty’s offers to our community so that they can advise and support individuals and families in their case load.
Will have begun to learn and understand the Scotty Values and the Scotty Way (we do things a little differently and our culture is very important to us and our community!).
Would have begun supporting the community members assigned to their caseload by the Head of SUPPORT.This will be through online 1:1 delivery, and some group online sessions, drop ins or workshops.
Will have completed all necessary safeguarding training and be part of the Scotty’s Safeguarding team.
Begun attending peer supervision sessions with the SUPPORT team.
What are the 6-month goals for this role:
Will have established a caseload across the Scotty community, as assigned by the Head of SUPPORT.
Will have begun to support the wider Families team by attending Scotty events.At Scotty events, a SUPPORT team member often attends to provide support to any families who may need it on the day (this may require occasional weekend or evening work).
Will be working cohesively with the Families team and the wider Scotty team to share knowledge and skills.Scotty’s values a culture of learning and strives to ensure team members can learn from one another’s expertise.

What are the key responsibilities of this role:
Managing a caseload and delivering one to one counselling sessions as assigned by the Head of SUPPORT. This will predominantly be online delivery using Teams video calling but also other formats as needed by community members.
Facilitate group therapy or support groups when appropriate.
Conduct initial assessment to determine clients’ needs and suitability for counselling.
Maintaining accurate and confidential case notes in a timely fashion using our CRM in accordance with data protection and organisational policies.

Skillset and Experiences Required:
Essential
Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) or United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP).We may consider applications from practitioners with HCPC or NCPS membership too.

Significant experience (post qualification), providing bereavement counselling to adults and some experience of counselling with children and young people (0-25yrs).
Experience and training with NICE-approved talking therapies.
Strong understanding of grief, bereavement, trauma and the impact of loss, and experience supporting traumatic bereavement or more complex grief presentations.
Demonstrable safeguarding knowledge and experience
Confident in professional judgement, boundaries, safeguarding and confidentiality.
Willing and able to support lower-level emotional support needs as well as more complex presentations, depending on service demand.
Experience of managing a complex caseload effectively.
Ability to work flexibly, including occasional evenings for drop-ins, later appointments or events in line with service need.

This exciting new role sits within REUK’s Education Pathways work which has been in a pilot phase for the last few years and is rapidly growing now that the UK government has made a commitment to expanding safe and legal routes to higher education in the UK for refugee students.
Higher education provides a transformative pathway for refugee youth, but establishing sustainable institutional access routes requires systemic collaboration. This role will lead the growth, formalisation, and management of university partnerships required to make an education pathway to the UK grow and flourish. You will oversee the complete partnership lifecycle: from university outreach and onboarding (including negotiating formal agreements at senior level), to enabling the formation of campus welcome groups, leading on initial and ongoing university and welcome group training and support, and monitoring and improving all university-facing processes within the pathway.
The postholder will work alongside a newly created Students Lead role, enabling you to focus on the institution-facing workstreams, while student-facing onboarding, welfare, and direct casework are handled by your counterpart.
This is a critical role within a small, high-capacity specialist unit within REUK. Because this is an emerging and new area of work you must be comfortable working with risk and ambiguity, refining and learning rapidly as parameters evolve. You will be an allrounder - as comfortable presenting to university executive boards and Vice-Chancellors as you are drafting MoUs, establishing Terms of Reference, organising and facilitating institutional training, and handling complex partnership operations independently.
Role outcomes
1. UK universities actively partner with REUK to create, expand, and sustain dedicated safe and legal education pathways for displaced students. To this end, key responsibilities include:
Developing and executing a national university engagement strategy to identify, pitch to, and secure new partner universities across the UK higher education sector.
Engaging directly with key university representatives - including Vice-Chancellors, Pro-Vice-Chancellors, Heads of Admissions, Sanctuary staff and key academics - to build institutional buy-in and secure long-term commitment to refugee education pathways.
Negotiating university support packages, including as appropriate fee waivers, scholarship or bursary structures, and accommodation commitments.
Nurturing and strategically managing existing university partnerships to ensure institutional sustainability, high-level engagement, and year-on-year growth in pathway placements.
Representing REUK where appropriate in sector-wide higher education networks and working groups on displaced student pathways.
2. Partner universities establish institutional frameworks, well-trained staff networks and campus welcome groups to receive refugee education pathway learners. To this end, key responsibilities include:
Guiding universities in establishing and structuring sustainable on-campus welcome groups (bringing together university staff and students) to support the welcome and integration of education pathway students.
Designing and delivering high quality training sessions for on-campus welcome groups and other key staff members.
Developing practical toolkits, guides, and frameworks for university staff to accompany above training.
Collaborating with the Students Lead to ensure campus welcome structures integrate with REUK's student support mechanisms.
Advocating within partner institutions for structural policy improvements (e.g. contextual admissions and flexible documentation policies).
3. University partnership governance, agreements, and operational systems run effectively and efficiently. To this end, key responsibilities include:
Drafting, negotiating, and finalizing formal Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs), Terms of Reference (ToRs), and operational service agreements with partner universities.
Managing all administrative and governance aspects of university partnerships independently, including contract tracking, partnership reviews, and operational timelines without junior admin support.
Coordinating institutional admissions frameworks and placement quotas with university registry and admissions departments.
Serving as the primary point of contact for senior university leads when strategic, structural, or other partnership challenges arise
Maintaining robust data systems and records relating to university commitments, funding allocations, and institutional agreements.
4. REUK’s Education Pathways university partnerships work is robustly evaluated, financially sustainable, and aligned with REUK’s broader strategy. To this end, key responsibilities include:
Reporting directly to the Education Pathways Lead on partnership growth, institutional engagement metrics, and strategic pathway goals.
Working in close alignment with the Students Lead to ensure institutional frameworks effectively support cohort needs and programme delivery.
Collecting sector data, university feedback, and institutional metrics to demonstrate impact to funders, university boards, REUK’s board of trustees, and government stakeholders.
Supporting grant reporting and budget management related to university pathway expansion and partner development.
Feeding operational insights from university partnerships into REUK’s broader research, policy, and systemic change initiatives.
Person specification
Although each role requires particular competencies, we seek staff members - irrespective of role - who are willing and able to demonstrate core competencies related to 1) character and values, 2) personal working style and 3) team working. Higher Education sector expertise: Deep understanding of UK university governance, executive structures, admissions procedures, international frameworks, and sanctuary initiatives.

Overview
The role will provide high-quality administrative, systems, and research support to the Quality Team, enabling consistent quality assurance across the grant-making cycle. ·Formal review of all project proposals before submission to the projects subcommittee to improve quality by ensuring:

oThe response is proportionate and broadly consistent with other Barnabas Aid projects of a similar nature;

·Track actions provided by committee to ensure projects fully implement committee decisions (e.g. splitting into tranches, reporting requirements, risk management, etc)
·Draft, for regional team’s approval, project approval/project rejection letters to partners, including all relevant provisions for management of the grants.

·Support the Quality Team to evidence required checks and maintain consistent records across systems and files, raising risks or gaps as appropriate.

We are seeking a driven and enthusiastic practitioners, to join Catch22 Surrey Young People’s Substance Use Service (SYPSUS). This role will be focused on providing substance use interventions, to children and young people (C&YP), who are accessing support from certain services within Surrey Mindworks (formerly known as CAMHS).
The new post will provide the successful candidate with an exciting opportunity to shape and develop the role, and to contribute to service development. Main responsibilities:
· To develop and embed links/pathway between services, working directly with children and young people who are accessing Mindworks Surrey.

We have an exciting opening for an Interim Director of Income and Engagement to join us on a 10-Month Fixed Term contract. This role provides senior leadership across the Income Generation and Marketing & Communications teams, ensuring we maintain strong community engagement, and leading teams to raise over £30,000 a day to run our vital services.
You will ensure continuity of income generation, strengthen supporter engagement, lead high-performing teams, and safeguard the hospice’s brand while driving sustainable growth. Who we are -Cranstoun is a social justice and harm reduction charity. We offer a wide range of services across England including housing & homelessness, substance use, domestic abuse, children & young people and criminal justice.
About the job - An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our supported housing services in Wandsworth.The service has 30 units of accommodation across 5 sites. This role will operate across our various levels of supported housing, including a flexible threshold unit that adopts a harm reduction approach with flexible tolerance toward drug use.
You will be part of a team providing support to the residents in the service and will be required to work on a rota basis that includes every other weekend. The service is set up to support residents to stabilise their substance use, focusing on harm reduction whilst improving independent living skills and achieving their individual goals. As a keyworker, you would keywork not less than 2 residents, providing support and advice through regular planned keywork sessions. In addition, you would work closely with our partner organisations to ensure that the residents receive support tailored to their needs. You would also contribute to the running of in-house groups and sessions, as well as external activities and days out,
You will receive on the job training and support, as well as access to a wide range of learning opportunities, both from Cranstoun and partner organisations. We are looking for people with experience of providing support to people with multiple disadvantages, experience of working in a supported housing setting would also be advantageous.
