Job Purpose
· To deliver Young Marketeers gardening sessions and assemblies in eight Leeds primary schools
Background to School Food Matters
At School Food Matters we believe that school food can unlock a happier, healthier, more sustainable future for every child. We want a school food system that delivers for all children, so they can enjoy nutritious, delicious and sustainable school food and leave school with an informed and positive relationship with food. To achieve this, we campaign for a better school food system, bringing the voices of children, parents, and teachers to government policy, and deliver fully funded food education programmes in schools across the country.
Young Marketeers
This much-loved programme was started in London in 2012. It is now running in about 125 primary and special schools across England. This is the fourth year it has run in Leeds. The programme provides hands-on opportunities for children from primary schools to grow fruit and veg from seed to sell at their local market. Young Marketeers is also a platform for School Food Matters to promote food education to schools and communities as a way to support children to live happy and healthy lives. Children learn the art of growing veg from seed, and market traders will share their secrets on how to create a winning market stall. Primary schools will be visited by our gardener in March/April and then again in May/June and receive further tips on how to ensure a bumper crop. Then in July, they head to the market to sell their produce, and to meet the Mayor!
Key Tasks include:
· Build and maintain relationships with teachers, teaching assistants and senior leaders to ensure the smooth running of the project

o One assembly in each school
o Two food growing sessions in each school with a class of 30 children (divided into 2 groups of 15)
· Attend Market Day in the city centre in July with all schools
- Complete monitoring and evaluation forms in accordance with instructions from our Evaluation team
- Take photos of workshops and events where possible
- Keep Project Coordinator and Leeds Project Officer fully updated on progress
· Keep up to date with safeguarding requirements and reporting procedures
- Maintain the ethos of the charity and positively promote our work at all times

Forest Peoples Programme (FPP) is a human rights charity that supports tropical forest peoples to protect their lands and livelihoods. Cambridgeshire ACRE is looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate Youth Support Worker to join our brand‑new Fenland Youth Connect project. The Training Officer will be involved in delivering our standard courses, alongside developing new and innovative pieces of work, including digital, online and in-person training packages. They will also support the delivery, assessment and ongoing development of an accredited learning programme for Personal Advisers in Leaving Care Service Teams.
Location
Our team currently work remotely from home, with the required attendance of in-person meetings (generally expected once or twice per month). In-person meetings usually take place in our office space in Old Street, London and Become covers the cost of travel within Great Britain for essential in-person meetings.
The role of Training Officer also requires regular delivery of training sessions at client venues across England (travel expenses covered).
The Old Street office space is available for team members to work from if preferred. For non-London based team members hot-desking options near you can be requested if required.

About Your New Ministry Context

- Strong experience in data analysis, ideally within policy, research, consultancy, or related fields, with an interest in applying AI-enabled analytical techniques.
- Proficiency in analytical tools such as Excel, Power BI or similar, with the ability to incorporate AI-assisted features for forecasting and insight generation.
- Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
- Experience with data cleaning, validation and management.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present findings, supported by visualisations or summaries, to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Self-motivated, organised, and methodical approach to work with excellent time management and ability to work independently and deliver against KPI’s.
- Ability to build positive, collaborative relationships with colleagues across the organisation and work constructively with others.
- Strong attention to detail and an understanding of the importance of brand and commitment to the brand guidelines.

- Strong experience of systems mapping and workshop facilitation, with openness to using AI tools to support stakeholder mapping and scenario modelling.

- Understanding of, or interest in learning about, loneliness, social isolation and issues that affect isolated and lonely older people.
- A dedicated place to work in your home with sufficient broadband for permanent Wi-Fi and access to multiple cloud-based systems.
Desirable
- Proven experience (3+years) in impact measurement, evaluation frameworks, or outcomes-based reporting, with the ability to integrate AI-supported analysis where appropriate.
- Knowledge of social research methods and statistical techniques.
- Familiarity with data governance, ethics, and responsible data use, including awareness of emerging considerations related to AI.
- AI fluent or willingness to become AI fluent, with a commitment to applying AI responsibly.
- A degree in a relevant field.
- Experience of working in a charity and/or with grant funded projects.
