The Events & Engagement officer is a new role at the charity. Working alongside the Head of Development and Head of Membership & Communications, the postholder will play a key role in supporting the expansion of the charity's varied events programme including Member events, cultivation opportunities and Health & Wellbeing activities. They will create and maintain stakeholder records within the organisation's systems including donors, Members and other contacts, ensuring information remains accurate and up to date at all times. The postholder will also develop the charity's stakeholder relationships, ensuring all those engaging with the organisation have a positive experience and develop a clear understanding of our charity and its aims.
They are looking for someone with a demonstrable experience in planning and delivering events for varied audiences. They are looking for a candidate with demonstrable experience managing social media channels and increasing engagement using online communications software. The ideal candidate will have the experience in an arts/membership organisation and an interest in music and the arts.

We are recruiting for an Out of School Childcare Leader to join our Out of School Childcare team. The role is for a Fixed Term Contract until July 2026.
You will be responsible for leading and delivering a programme of Ofsted registered Breakfast and After School Clubs, offering a range of free play opportunities as well as structured programmes. The post holder will lead a team of playworkers and volunteers, to ensure that the service provided is of high quality and appropriate for the varying children who attend.
This role requires someone with Level 2/3 qualification in childcare, play work or equivalent or be willing to undertake this level of training upon employment.
You must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience of working in a childcare setting.
Working Hours: 25 hours per week, Monday-Friday 7.15am to 9am and 2.45pm to 6pm Term time only with optional role in holidays.

Key responsibilities:
·To lead the delivery of St Joseph’s Breakfast and After School Club.

·To build trusting relationships with parents and families, checking that we have the correct information about the children that attend and ensuring that children are collected by authorised people only.

·To work with the Out of School Childcare team to help promote the YMCA schemes so that attendance figures reach agreed targets in line with budgets. This includes sending weekly photos of children with the appropriate consent to the team.
·To ensure that all practices within the setting adhere to the Safeguarding Children policy, as well as meeting OFSTED requirements, so that the service offered is of a safe and high standard.
·To be responsible for the health and safety of children attending all sessions, including carrying out risk assessments and ensuring risk assessment checklists are completed daily.
·To ensure that resources are well looked after, and to inform the OOSC Senior Coordinator if extra resources are required.
·To ensure that appropriate care plans and risk assessments are carried out for children with additional needs and for those on the EYFS register.
·Where necessary, to administer First Aid for children who have had an accident, as well as medication for children with health issues, ensuring appropriate training has been completed beforehand.
·To ensure that all children and young people are made to feel valued and enabled to develop and improve self-esteem self-confidence and positive experiences.
·To lead a team of playworkers and volunteers, and to ensure that the service provided is of high quality and appropriate for the varying children who attend.
·When the OSCC Senior Coordinator is not available, to act as the responsible person in charge of the setting.
·To be flexible in order to meet the needs of service, including when required also working at other Y-Kids Afterschool clubs to help provide cover.

The Head of Policy, Programmes and Media position is a senior position within the organisation. Chief Officer
Citizens Advice Woking (CAW) provides free, independent, and confidential advice and information to the residents of Woking, and anyone who works in the Borough, particularly the most vulnerable, to help with the problems they face. We are the only organisation locally that can and does address client issues holistically, across areas such as debt, housing and welfare benefits, not just single issues, and this is increasingly important as client problems become more complex.

Reporting to the Chair of the Trustee Board, the Chief Officer
- Is responsible to the Trustee Board for the management and leadership of Citizens Advice Woking,
- Represents Citizens Advice Woking to funders, partners and stakeholders,
- Ensures the delivery of a high quality, impartial and confidential service, utilising both paid staff and volunteers,
- Is responsible for the continuing funding, planning and financial management of the service,
- Represents the organisation in Woking and contributes to the overall provision of strategic advice services in the borough.
In particular, the priorities for the Chief Officer in 2026/27 will be to:
- Manage CAW’s external relationships with our funders and the Woking community generally, to ensure satisfaction with the delivery of current projects, and their continuation,
- Collaborate closely with the other Surrey LCA Chief Officers to respond to the changing funding landscape. In parallel, continue to identify and deliver local projects for local funders,
- Ensure that suitable alternative premises are secured, and the transition is managed as smoothly as possible,

The Chief Officer has an important leadership role, working closely with the Operations Manager, who has line responsibility for the staff and, generally, the internal CAW operation. The volunteers are managed on a day-to-day basis by the Advice Session Supervisors, who are critical to ensuring the quality of advice to clients, and the smooth running of the office.

We are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join our vibrant and friendly finance department. You will be responsible for supporting the Activities Finance Coordinator with the smooth running of the Accounts Payable and Receivable function and other duties within the activities finance team. In light of the Union’s recent management of the Bloomsbury Theatre, the postholder will also assist the Finance Department with a variety of tasks, providing flexible support to meet the department’s evolving needs.
Do you have relevant experience in an Accounts Payable role with a strong understanding of financial ledgers and control accounts? Have you dealt with checking and processing a high volume of transactions? If the answer is yes, then we would like you to join our finance team.
Our ideal candidate will have the ability to work independently and prioritise tasks in a high-pressure environment with rapid turnaround times and strict deadlines. The ability to demonstrate flexibility in response to changing environments and team priorities. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the People & Volunteering function, working closely with the CEO and the SMT.
- Develop and implement people plans, policies and compliance processes aligned with UK employment law.
- Provide advice and coaching to managers, supporting performance, wellbeing and employee relations.
- Line manage the Volunteer Manager and support a high-quality volunteering experience.
- Oversee onboarding, L&D, payroll liaison, DBS and right-to-work checks, and HR records.
- Lead annual people, volunteer and trustee surveys and use insights to drive improvement.
- Maintain HR systems and produce clear people data and reports for internal stakeholders.
What we are looking for
- Experience in a broad HR generalist role (e.g. Head of People, HR Manager or similar), ideally within a charity, social sector or other values-driven setting.
- Confident working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice, with the ability to apply this in a proportionate and practical way.
- Experience advising and supporting managers with day-to-day people issues and building constructive relationships across an organisation.
- Experience working with volunteers, for example, supporting a volunteer function, managing volunteer-involving projects and/or through lived experience of volunteering.
- Strong systems and data skills, including using HR and/or volunteer management systems and producing clear reports on people metrics (such as sickness, turnover and workforce/volunteer trends).
- Experience improving processes and systems, with the ability to identify what needs to change and follow through.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain people issues clearly and build trust with staff, volunteers, senior leaders and trustees.

Building Safety Manager

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established Housing Association based in London for a Building Safety Manager to take a leading role in ensuring resident safety and full compliance with current and emerging building safety legislation.
This is a key appointment within the organisation, offering the opportunity to shape and lead building safety strategy across a varied residential portfolio, including higher-risk buildings, and to act as a central point of accountability under the Building Safety Act.
The Role
Reporting into senior leadership, the Building Safety Manager will be responsible for developing, embedding, and maintaining robust building safety management systems. You will ensure that statutory obligations are met, risks are effectively managed, and residents are engaged and informed.
Key responsibilities include:
Acting as the organisation's lead professional for building safety and compliance
Implementing and maintaining Building Safety Cases and Safety Case Reports
