Description
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Head of Fundraising to lead and further develop our fundraising activity at a pivotal time for the Cathedral. This is a strategic and hands on role, working closely with the Chief Operating Officer and Senior Management Team to secure the resources needed to sustain and grow the Cathedral’s mission, ministry and buildings.
You will take the lead on generating fundraising income, primarily through trusts and foundations, while also developing appeals, legacy giving, regular giving and new fundraising income streams. You will build on the strong foundations already in place, bringing creativity, rigour and collaboration to everything you do.
The role
As Head of Fundraising, you will:
Lead relationships with trusts and foundations, identifying opportunities, writing compelling applications and managing reporting and compliance
Drive major fundraising bids to support the Cathedral’s Estates Masterplan and strategic priorities
Develop and deliver fundraising appeals and pilot new initiatives to diversify income
Grow legacy and regular giving, building a sustainable pipeline of long-term supporters
Lead supporter care, engagement and fundraising events
Oversee fundraising communications and profile raising activity
Work collaboratively across the Cathedral to develop fundable projects and shared ownership of fundraising
Manage the fundraising budget and report progress to the Senior Management Team and Finance Committee
Act as Line Manager for the Development Officer
This role combines strategic thinking with practical delivery and will suit someone who enjoys working in a small, committed team where no two days are the same.

The role:
Bringing our marketing and communications strategy to life by delivering clear, coordinated and impactful activity across the charity. In this role, you’ll provide day‑to‑day leadership, oversight and quality assurance for the Marketing team, ensuring that all outputs—from campaigns and digital content to printed materials, supporter journeys and internal communications—are well‑planned, on schedule, high‑quality and fully aligned with our vision, values and brand.
What You Will Do:
As Marketing & Communications Lead, you will play a key role in shaping the future of our strategy, offering fresh ideas and insight, and working closely with the Marketing & Engagement Manager to ensure our plans remain relevant, effective and forward‑thinking.
Strategic Contribution
· Translate organisational and departmental objectives into clear marketing and communications plans and delivery frameworks.

· Hold joint ownership, alongside the Supporter Engagement Manager, for the delivery and ongoing development of supporter journeys, including Dotdigital integrations, with marketing leading on planning, content, insight, and quality assurance.
· Build and maintain strong working relationships with freelancers, agencies, photographers, and suppliers to ensure high‑quality creative output and timely delivery.
Internal & External Collaboration
· Work with teams across the hospice and act as a marketing representative in meetings to ensure consistent messaging, strategic alignment, and effective planning.

About the role
Research has shown that there is significant potential for new and existing wealth holders to use their resources to fund climate action, and demand for trusted advisors to accelerate both the pace and efficacy of philanthropy. The Impatience Earth team has a track record of delivering quality philanthropy advisory for climate action, and with a growing team we have the capacity to take on new clients.
As the Philanthropy Catalyst Lead, you will be instrumental in building a strong pipeline of clients who would benefit from our climate advisory services. You are someone who is comfortable connecting with and engaging wealth holders, such as high-net worth individuals, family foundations and corporate foundations that have the potential to commit substantial resources (£200k+ year) to climate action.
These clients may be based in the UK or Europe (as reflects the majority of our client base so far) although you will also work with colleagues engaged in catalysing philanthropy in other regions of the world.
You will report directly to the Co-CEO, but also work closely with other members of the team and partners such as the Environmental Funders Network (EFN) to grow climate philanthropy. This is not a fundraising role for Impatience Earth: the primary focus will be to further develop and hone our business development strategy; to find, qualify and cultivate prospects; and to support the delivery of advisory services as needed once prospects are converted into clients.
About Impatience Earth
Impatience Earth is a non-profit climate philanthropy consultancy founded in 2020 with a mission to educate, challenge and inspire wealth holders to take bolder funding decisions to address the climate emergency.
Since 2020, our engagement with over 40 philanthropic foundations and businesses has supported them to make over £250m of new funding available for climate action, and we have already helped them make grants to over 200 different organisations. A great deal of these clients have come from word of mouth and from within our team’s existing connections, and we are now looking to expand our reach beyond our own network.
We have ambitious plans to unlock greater funding for intersectional climate justice work, with bespoke advisory for new climate funders continuing to be a core pillar of our 2026-2030 strategic plan.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Further developing our business development strategy. This would include:
Reviewing and assessing previous and existing business development activities, and prioritising actions
Identifying key target audiences and referral partners
Proposing realistic and stretch targets for our business development activities
Developing concise and effective communications for our target audience, for example, by crafting compelling outreach emails
Researching, qualifying and engaging with prospective clients. This would include:
Using your past experience of engaging wealth holders to suggest new business development or prospect research ideas
Reviewing funder databases for leads and relevant information
Initiating a new (simple!) system of tracking client leads from identification to conversion
Arranging and joining scoping conversations with potential clients
Identifying events and spaces to engage with prospective clients
Initiating and managing key relationships. This would include:
Stewarding prospective clients who are not yet ready to engage with our services
Re-engaging and managing strong relationships with key referral partners and intermediaries, such as EFN, private banks, wealth advisors, family offices and other philanthropy advisors
Representing Impatience Earth externally at meetings and events to meet our business development objectives
Working closely with colleagues to integrate business development across programmes. This would include:
Working with Impatience Earth colleagues who lead our Strategic Communications, Global South and International Partnerships work to guide and support their activities around business development
General support and advice to strengthen all staff members’ business development knowledge and skills
Support client delivery. As and when you convert prospects into clients, we may need you to support client leads with delivery. This might include arranging and facilitating expert meetings and strategy sessions.
What we’re looking for
At least 3 years previous experience of working in major gift fundraising, trust and foundation fundraising, private wealth advisory, or similar that gives you insight and knowledge into the philanthropic landscape, HNWIs, and the networks and ecosystem in which they operate
Someone who enjoys engaging with philanthropists in-person and at events, and comfortable having interesting but sometimes challenging conversations
A proven track record of converting leads into confirmed high value clients (or funders) at the 6- or 7-figure level and managing successful relationships with them
Strong research skills, including ability to use datasets and access information to find and qualify prospects
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A self starter who is able to think both creatively and strategically about business development; able to work independently but also as part of a dynamic and highly collaborative team
Confidence engaging with different types of stakeholders, especially high net worth individuals, and the emotional intelligence and social skills to build genuine, trusted relationships
A good understanding of the role of philanthropy in the context of social, economic and climate injustices
Committed to tackling the climate crisis with a good grasp of its causes and solutions - though our team will provide training if you have not worked in a climate-focused role before

In this exciting and varied strategic and operational role, you will lead KTI’s marketing, communications and external affairs team with the aim of promoting and protecting King’s Trust International and The King’s Group, increasing awareness of our brand and our work for young people around the world. You will spearhead the establishment of our advocacy function and play a key role in research commissioning, awareness raising and coalition creation. Responsibilities
Recruitment and retention
Lead on maintaining and strengthening existing relationships with talent and their management teams, working with the Communications Officer to ensure seamless and efficient stewardship and comms that streamline updates and inbound requests
Work closely with the Head of PR & Comms to develop and realise an Ambassador strategy that aligns with our overarching organisational goals and an ambitious targeted recruitment strategy
Lead proactive outreach and attend industry events to elevate CALM’s profile. Identify talent with lived experience that aligns authentically with our cause
Oversee the digital evolution of our talent community, working closely with the Communications Officer to develop new and existing comms channels that connect us with our Ambassadors and their teams, management of contact data within Salesforce, and ongoing monitoring of Ambassador social, press and partnership activity
Beyond the creative and relational, you will oversee the operational excellence of the department. This includes:
Leading on impact reporting and ongoing monitoring of Ambassador activity to measure success.
Managing the full lifecycle of talent engagement, from creating and managing contracts to ensuring all activity is integrated with our Stories and Safeguarding protocols to support both Ambassadors and their teams.
Collaboration
A key part of this role is high-level collaboration with the Fundraising team. You will ensure that corporate partnerships, challenge events, major and individual giving initiatives are fully supported, managing the high volume of Ambassador requests with a strategic lens
Lead on the Talent integration with Fundraising to realise our contractual commitments with funders, and deliver added value to income-generating activity across the full Fundraising mix
Work collaboratively with the Communications Officer and Social Media Manager to deliver industry-leading collaborative content, providing regular, high-impact updates to keep our supporters engaged and informed.
Work with the wider MarComms team to advise on our wider creator strategy, ensuring a cohesive approach to how we engage public figures
Support the Head or PR & Comms to manage Talent-specific press requests, including scheduling and briefing
Your profile
Essential Criteria
Significant experience in talent management, artist relations, or high-level PR/communications
Proven track record of building and maintaining high-level relationships with celebrities, influencers, and their management teams (agents, publicists, and assistants)
Extensive experience in talent-led PR, end-to-end media campaign management, and protecting brand integrity through strategic reputation oversight
Ability to collaborate with multiple teams, managing multiple stakeholders with competing priorities
Ability to develop and realise long-term talent and recruitment strategies that align with wider organisational goals
Highly professional with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and influencing ability

When young people in care turn 18, all the support they’ve relied on can fall away, literally overnight. Suddenly, they have to navigate adulthood on their own. This would be tough for any teenager, even if they could fall back on their family for help. So it’s not surprising that two out of three care-experienced young people feel unprepared to leave care. Too many still don’t get the support they need to make it safely past this cliff edge.
Care leavers aged 18-21 are nine times more likely to experience homelessness than their peers.
Settle exists to change this. We’re an award-winning charity, supporting care-experienced young people as they move into their first home, so they can confidently transition into independent living, avoid eviction and homelessness, and establish the foundations they need to thrive in adulthood. We are on a mission to end homelessness among care-experienced young people.
With our current Head of Fundraising leaving us to go travelling, we’re seeking someone new to help us achieve this ambition. You’ll have a lot to build on. Over the last three years, we’ve grown our income dramatically, and diversified our funder portfolio. We have strong relationships with our committed and supportive funders, underpinned by an organisation-wide commitment to fundraising.
This is a crucial role for Settle, and you’ll have the support you need to excel. In 2025, we grew our fundraising team from one (this post) to three. You’ll take on the leadership of an engaged and enthusiastic team, increasingly responsible for day-to-day management of trust and foundation fundraising. Hours: The hours are full-time (35 hours per week) preferred, with attendance at funder events outside core hours as needed from time to time – part-time will be considered for the right candidate but we envisage at least 0.8FTE / 28 hours per week
Location: Hybrid working between our office in London Bridge and working from home – our standard expectation is at least 2 days a week of contact time (in the office, funder meetings or events). Role Outline
The role will work on the Pathfinder project which works across Greater Manchester to prevent young people from becoming homeless. The purpose of this role is to increase access to high-quality private rented sector accommodation in order to improve opportunities for participants to secure suitable and sustainable housing.
You will work across Greater Manchester to build and maintain strong relationships with private landlords, improving access to accommodation for frontline delivery teams and the young people they work alongside. You will also work collaboratively with colleagues across GMBOP and related programmes, such as Kirklees Better Outcomes Partnership (KBOP), to share expertise, learning and best practice, helping to strengthen housing pathways and maximise impact across the wider partnership.
This role plays an important part in ensuring housing pathways are aligned with our strengths-based approach — supporting young people to move into accommodation that reflects their aspirations, promotes independence, and contributes to long-term stability.
What Will You Be Accountable For?
Increasing the number and diversity of landlords engaged and wanting to work with the project
Building positive, collaborative relationships with landlords to create seamless housing and support pathways
Ensuring accommodation secured through the project meets appropriate housing standards
Working in partnership with delivery teams so housing options reflect participants’ strengths, needs and goals
Supporting delivery partners to understand private rented sector options available to participants
Liaising with local authority private sector housing teams to strengthen partnership working
Acting as a point of contact for staff accessing the GMBOP deposit or guarantor scheme
Attending landlord networking events to promote the project and explain available incentives
Maintaining ongoing, constructive communication with landlords during tenancies to support positive outcomes for both landlords and participants

Working closely with the Chief Executive and your Co-Head of Development, you will help drive our fundraising strategy and develop a strong pipeline of new funding opportunities, with a particular focus on professional adviser engagement.
You will also play a key role in developing our approach to legacy giving, helping to build long-term relationships and position Kent Community Foundation as a trusted partner for planned giving.
