Job description

Lead AllChild’s work across the North West, helping local partners act earlier and work together, driving improved outcomes, so more children and young people can flourish.

Who we are

Children and young people can face connected challenges at home, at school and in their communities but support is often fragmented and comes too late. Starting with the child, AllChild brings families, schools, councils and community organisations together to provide support earlier, before difficulties reach crisis point.

For ten years, AllChild has worked with children and families in economically disadvantaged communities. Its Link Workers, based in schools, build trusted relationships and join the dots, connecting children with trusted adults, local services and opportunities, from wellbeing support and sport to tutoring and speech and language therapy. AllChild is now building on what it has learnt to grows its work in communities across the country.

About the role

As Regional Director, you will lead AllChild’s work across the North West and help shape how local organisations work together with children and families. You will build lasting relationships with councils, schools, health partners, community organisations, businesses and funders, agreeing shared plans that support children and strengthen local services.

You will lead a growing regional workforce of up to 80 colleagues across several communities and council areas. Working with your management team, you will support consistent, safe and high-quality delivery, while making sure local learning informs the development of AllChild’s approach.

As a member of the Leadership Team, you will contribute to AllChild’s wider strategy and help secure the partnerships and resources needed for long-term work in the region.

What we are looking for

You will bring significant leadership experience in education, health, social care or a related sector, with a record of improving outcomes for children and young people. You will be able to lead through managers, support teams through growth and build trusted relationships across different parts of the local system.

You will understand the North West’s social and educational context and bring sound judgement on safeguarding, budgets, evidence and performance. Above all, you will lead collaboratively, listen to children, families and communities, and share AllChild’s commitment to inclusive, strengths-based support.

If you are interested in helping communities work together so children get the support they need, at the right time, we would welcome your interest.
