Job description

Mosaic is in an exciting period of growth as an organisation and this post dedicated to fundraising will play a pivotal role in helping us to support children and young people across the county when they have experienced the death of someone important to them.

As part of a team based in Dorchester,  you'll work closely with the CEO and Head of Funding to plan and deliver a range of fundraising activities and support across our communities, advising us on what more we can do to make a difference. Writing applications for grants, going to a local group to talk about an event, planning our corporate strategy - each day will be different so we're looking for someone who likes the variety and is a real team-player.

We are looking for someone with a  minimum of one year’s experience in trust and foundation fundraising, good writing skills, with experience of developing high-quality proposals and grant applications.  You'll enjoy getting to know our volunteers and counsellors, team and some of the wonderful families we work with.

We're a small team of 11 and work across functions to help each other and share ideas.  You'll have good communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including donors, volunteers, and colleagues. Mosaic is a charity for bereaved children, and we will offer you professional training on safeguarding,  bereavement and charity fundraising.

Mosaic offers a pension, travel expenses are fully paid and you'll have 18 days holiday (22 FTE) plus bank holidays and time off between Christmas and New Year.  Employees enjoy a NEST pension with us (Employer contribution 3%).

How to apply:

We would love to hear from you if you're ready for this challenge, and want to make a difference.

Please look at our job description to see what this important role entails,  then send us your CV and a covering letter which sets out why you think you'd be suitable and how your skills and experience align with the person specification.   In particular, how do you think you'd be able to contribute to our strategy and mission, set out in the strategy document attached?
