Location: Home based but within commutable distance to Wales Synod Cymru District and West Midlands District.

Hours: 35 hours per week 

This role is part of the Connexional Team Learning Network, supporting, encouraging, and equipping the Church to live out ‘Our Calling’ through worship, mission, evangelism and discipleship. The Learning Network primarily works with lay and ordained leaders, helping them equip others.

This post contributes to Connexional-wide learning and development initiatives, and is specifically aligned with the Wales Synod Cymru District as the Welsh speaking Learning and Development Officer (LDO) and the new West Midlands District following the merger of the current Birmingham District and the Wolverhampton and Shrewsbury District on 1st September 2025. Wales Synod Cymru is a bilingual District of 16 circuits, including the Welsh language Cymru Circuit which covers the whole of Wales, and the West Midlands District has 20 circuits across Birmingham, Wolverhampton and the Black Country, Worcestershire, Warwickshire, Herefordshire, Shropshire and Staffordshire. Both districts are diverse in terms of population groupings and serve communities in rural, market towns, suburbs and city centre settings.

The Role

Reporting to the Director, this is an exciting opportunity to lead and strengthen our fundraising strategy, ensuring sustainable growth in income to support our mission of protecting and restoring tropical forests and inspiring climate action.

The Fundraising Manager will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing an ambitious fundraising strategy, with a strong focus on corporate partnerships and trusts.

Working closely with the Director, Deputy Director, Finance and Grants Manager and Communications and Digital Marketing Manager, you will drive forward fundraising targets, cultivate new opportunities, and consolidate existing partnerships. This role requires both strategic leadership and hands-on delivery, ensuring our fundraising approach is robust, ethical, and aligned with our values.

Key Responsibilities

 1. Strategy Development and Income Generation

● Develop and deliver a comprehensive fundraising strategy for the charity (with a strong but not exclusive focus on corporate partnerships),  aligned with the charity’s 5-year strategic plan.

● Research, identify, and build a pipeline of new funding opportunities to diversify and expand income streams, such as corporate partners, trusts and foundations,  high net worth individuals and individual giving.

● Prepare due diligence checks on potential new funding opportunities to be presented to the board / senior management.

● Develop compelling cases for support and tailored proposals to secure significant income from corporate partners primarily.

2. Systems and Process Improvement

● Establish and implement new systems for organising, stewarding, and monitoring corporate funders, ensuring efficiency and compliance.

● Introduce clear processes for donor stewardship, including trackers, reporting templates and potentially a new CRM system. 

● Ensure all fundraising activities comply with fundraising regulations, data protection requirements, and ethical fundraising principles.

3. Relationship Management and Stewardship

● Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective corporate funders through effective stewardship and engagement.

● Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver excellent relationship management for corporate partners.

● Work with the Communications and Marketing Manager to maximise fundraising campaigns such as the Big Give. 

4. Events and Engagement

● Lead on the planning and delivery of a flagship summer event designed to attract funders, with the aim of securing new partnerships and long-term support.

● Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the event is well-promoted, impactful, and aligned with the charity’s mission.

● Organise and attend meetings, presentations, and other events to engage with funders and promote the charity’s work. 

5. Reporting and Evaluation

● Monitor and report on fundraising income targets, maintaining accurate records of all funders and partnerships.

● Working with the relevant programmes teams, provide regular impact reports to funders, demonstrating the outcomes of their support.

● Evaluate the success of fundraising initiatives and identify areas for improvement.

6. Team Collaboration

● Work collaboratively across the team to develop funding proposals and case studies.

● Work closely with the Communications and Digital Fundraising Manager to develop online donations and regular gifts and improve the digital marketing and eNewsletter (for increasing donations). 

● Contribute to innovative fundraising campaigns and activities.

● Support and participate in wider organisational activities, including events and cross‑team initiatives as required.

● Contribute to annual budget setting and targets for fundraising.

● Line management of volunteers as required.

Training will be provided to ensure that all candidates feel supported in their role and progress in their career development. Welsh language training will be offered to support learning if necessary. IT training in WordPress and other essential software will also be offered. Travel across Wales will be required.

Seldom but occasional evening and weekend work may be required.Size of Wales has a flexible working policy.

Job Description 

Communications 

• Develop, contribute to and implement impact-driven and strategic communications campaigns that build Kineara’s fundraising capacity and raise awareness of the issues 

• Develop brand identity for Kineara’s new charitable arm, ensuring it is consistent across all activities in the organisation, while maintaining Kineara’s overall ‘look and feel’ to ensure coherence in branding, colours, messaging, style and approach. 

• Manage the creation, development, distribution of compelling, impact-driven story-telling about Kineara’s work and beneficiaries using interviews, blogs, case studies, etc. 

• Use a range of platforms to distribute print and electronic content including, but not limited to, newsletters, brochures, leaflets, posters reports, e-newsletters, and Kineara’s website 

• Work closely with IT and business managers to ensure smooth running of internal communications 

Fundraising 

• Develop positive relationships with a range of stakeholders providing funding to charities, including in the third sector, public sector, and the business sector, to raise awareness and promote our work

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary NHS team alongside clinicians, social workers, and community partners to support adults with moderate to severe mental illness. Holding a caseload of service users, you will act as their key contact, contributing to care planning, monitoring progress, and supporting safe discharge using the RiO clinical records system. Together with service users, you will develop person-centred recovery plans focused on social goals and community integration, building strong therapeutic relationships through trauma-informed and strength-based approaches. You will help individuals access local resources, attend appointments, and engage in wellbeing activities, peer support, and psychoeducational groups. Collaboration is central to the role, as you will liaise with statutory and voluntary organisations, attend clinical meetings and community events, and advocate for recovery-focused, jargon-free communication. You will ensure accurate documentation, uphold safeguarding and health & safety standards, and actively participate in supervision, training, and professional development.

Care4Calais is a volunteer-based charity providing essential aid and support for refugees in France and the UK. 

In the UK, we collect and distribute clothing, shoes, mobile phones, and other essential items, alongside offering social support and access to legal, medical, and educational services. In northern France, we operate year-round from Calais, working alongside local communities in Calais and Dunkirk to provide warm clothing, bedding, and services to displaced refugees living in challenging and dangerous conditions.

About the Role

Care4Calais is recruiting an Operations Coordinator to support its humanitarian operations in northern France. The association operates every day of the week, coordinating the distribution of non-food items (NFI) and providing services and activities, such as phone charging, games, and access to hairdressing, bicycle repair, and sewing equipment.

As an Operations Coordinator, you will oversee the daily distribution of aid and manage volunteer teams, ensuring that proper safety procedures for effective aid distribution are in place, communicated, and consistently applied. You will also contribute to warehouse operations and logistical planning.

You will be part of Care4Calais' core team in France and report directly to the Head of Field Operations in France. The role requires a proactive, hardworking individual with excellent organizational skills and the ability to make quick, compassionate decisions in a fast-paced environment. While this is a challenging position, you will receive a thorough induction and work alongside experienced team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide core operational support for Care4Calais’ operations in northern France.
• Support the logistics and purchasing department to manage new and second-hand clothing stock and assist with operational planning for field activities.

Person Specification

Essential Criteria:

• Experience working or volunteering in a humanitarian context, with human rights organisations, or with refugees and asylum-seeking individuals.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to convey information clearly and concisely to a wide audience.

Wiltshire Music Centre is looking for a Head of Finance to drive financial strategy, ensure robust financial management, and provide clear insight to support decision-making across all areas of activity of our music and education venue. This role sits on our Senior Leadership Team.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Management & Reporting

• Lead preparation of management accounts, cash flow forecasts, and variance analysis
• Produce quarterly finance reports and manage month end processes and reports
• Oversee preparation of the annual statutory accounts and audit
• Maintain a clear reserves policy and monitor cash flow
• Administer finances raised through fundraising campaigns, donations, sponsorship and grants, and claim back Gift Aid from HMRC
• Prepare and process VAT returns, handling partial exemption when applicable
• Be the first point of contact for any HMRC query

2. Budgeting & Strategy

• Coordinate the annual budgeting process across departments
• Provide financial modelling and analysis for strategic planning and fundraising bids
• Support the Executive Director and trustees in scenario planning and long-term forecasting
• Advise on risk management and internal controls

3. Operations & Systems

• Oversee day-to-day finance operations (invoicing, payments, payroll, expenses, reconciliations)
• Maintain accurate event and project accounts, reconciling Box Office data to financial systems
• Ensure efficient provision and use of merchant services and card payment solutions
• Manage and improve financial systems e.g. Sage
• Work closely with Executive Director to track restricted and unrestricted funds

4. Governance & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with the Charities Act, Companies Act, and funder requirements
• Prepare data and documents as required for reporting to key funders
• Prepare finance reports and dashboards for board meetings
• Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and the Charity Commission
• Support the Treasurer and Finance & Resource Committee and attend board meetings as required

5. Organisational strategy and growth

• Work collaboratively to identify strategic opportunities for growth

Job Requirements

Ideal Candidate Profile

Essential

• Professional qualification (or part-qualified) such as ACA / ACCA / CIMA / CIPFA, or equivalent
• Strong financial and accounting experience within a Finance Department covering all relevant functions
• Excellent budgeting, forecasting, and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of Charity SORP and statutory charitable reporting and accounts preparation.
• Technical knowledge of tax matters (VAT and PAYE).
• Experience of managing VAT and gift aid for a charity.
• Experience with Sage or another cloud-based accounting platform.
• High attention to detail and ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial colleagues

Desirable

• Experience with arts, education, or cultural sector charities.
• Experience working with fundraising and grant-making bodies, including an understanding of restricted funds, grant management and project reporting
• Experience of box office systems

The Royal Commission's diverse and growing alumni community spans academia, industry, science, engineering, and the arts. We are now seeking an Alumni Manager to strengthen engagement with this community and help build meaningful, long-term relationships that enhance the impact of our programmes.

The Royal Commission for the Exhibition of 1851 is a historic charitable foundation established to carry forward the legacy of the Great Exhibition. Today, we support excellence in research, innovation, and STEM education through prestigious postgraduate fellowships and awards, alongside the stewardship of our South Kensington estate.

The Role

Reporting to the Secretary to the Royal Commission, the Alumni Manager will lead the coordination and delivery of our alumni strategy. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong communication and organisational skills who enjoys building communities and working in the not-for-profit or higher education sector.

Key Responsibilities

Alumni Relations & Community Building

· Maintain and develop the Commission’s alumni network, fostering long-term engagement.

· Work with the Secretary and Alumni Steering Group to develop and deliver an alumni engagement plan.

· Act as the main point of contact for alumni enquiries.

· Manage alumni use of Commission facilities.

Communications & Content

· Produce newsletters, alumni profiles, updates, and case studies.

· Manage alumni-related online content, including website updates and mailing lists.

· Coordinate content and publication of the annual external stakeholder magazine.

· Develop targeted communications for different alumni audiences.

Events

· Plan and deliver dedicated alumni events.

· Support alumni in delivering their own events.

· Assist the Events Coordinator and executive team with other Commission events.

Data & Administration

· Maintain and develop the alumni database, CRM (Hivebrite), survey tools, and internal records.

· Ensure alumni data is accurate and up to date.

· Track engagement metrics and prepare reports for internal review.

You may also be required to undertake other duties reasonably associated with the role.

About You

Essential qualities

· Experience in alumni relations, community management, stakeholder engagement, or a similar role.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.

· Experience planning and delivering events.

· Ability to build positive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.

· Proficiency in CRM or database systems and Microsoft Office.

Salary & Benefits

Salary: £16,932 per annum (10 hours per week; £59,262 FTE).

Flexible working hours agreed with the Secretary, within core hours of 10am–4pm.

At least one day per week working from the office.

Annual leave: 8.5 days plus public holidays (pro rata).

Employer pension contribution of 15% of gross salary via The People’s Pension or a personal pension scheme.
