Job description

Could you help us deliver our key acquisition projects to recruit new donors for St Mungo's?

We are looking for a Senior Direct Marketing Officer to join the Public Engagement team at St Mungo's. In this role you will support the development, coordination and delivery of our fundraising communications plan for new supporters, helping us reach our fundraising goals and increase income to support our overall aims to end rough sleeping and homelessness for good.

Your role will help our programme grow our donor base and showcase the amazing work St Mungo's does and how a first gift can change a life. You will also:

  • Take ownership of the day to day process of delivering campaigns, from briefing through to reporting, working closely with your manager on key decisions to focus on increasing response rate, recruiting consented new donors and decreasing CPA.
  • Coordinate the delivery of high quality work on time, tracking performance and flagging progress against targets to your manager.
  • Access and interpret campaign data via dashboard reporting tools, presenting clear analysis to your manager to inform decisions.
  • Handle the process of working with suppliers and agencies independently, including campaign testing and reporting, feeding recommendations and options back to your manager for decisions.
  • Have opportunities to work with colleagues across the wider fundraising team on other key projects as they develop.

You will join a motivated and passionate fundraising team. With your help, we will be able to recruit donors for the Supporter Involvement team to develop into long term donors, who will in turn help provide the income we need to expand the support St Mungo's can provide to people experiencing homelessness.

Whilst our main office is currently in Farringdon, London, we are flexible and encourage a blended working pattern including working from home and across other London or St Mungo's hub locations. More details will be provided at interview stage.

About you

We are looking for someone with experience of working in a fast paced fundraising, marketing or communications environment, with a good grounding in project coordination. We encourage you to apply if you are a proactive individual with excellent communication skills and can demonstrate your:

  • Experience of managing the delivery process for multiple projects to schedule and budget, handling competing priorities effectively.
  • Experience of using data analysis and dashboard reporting tools to review results and present clear findings.
  • Good time management skills with the ability to manage varied and time sensitive tasks.
  • A critical approach to work with good attention to detail.
  • Experience of building strong working relationships with external agencies, suppliers, colleagues and internal stakeholders.

St Mungo's are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace. We strongly encourage applications from all under represented groups.
