About the role

This is an exciting role within Spear’s programme delivery team, leading and inspiring Centre Managers across a region to deliver high-quality coaching and strong outcomes for young people. The role combines line management, performance oversight and contributing to the ongoing development of Spear’s coaching culture and curriculum. It’s a great opportunity for an experienced coach and people manager to shape delivery and help more young people move into education, employment, or training.

Key information:

• Salary: from £36,000 dependant on location
• Location: London/South of England or West of England
• Full-time, Permanent

Person Specification

• A practising Christian, passionate about personally representing the values and beliefs of Spear, and our mission to equip and support young people facing barriers to employment
• Excellent all-round coaching ability, with extensive coaching experience in group and 1-1 facilitation and/or other relevant transferable skills
• Highly experienced in line management and holding responsibility for others’ professional development and wellbeing
• Effective interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence, with the ability to relate confidently to church partners as well as a range of audiences, internally and externally

About The Role

The Centre Manager will oversee the day to day running of centre, making sure we have a safe and welcoming environment. Working with Trustees, you will play a key part in bringing about change at the Centre to ensure its future sustainability and place at the heart of the Chinnor and surrounding villages. This includes seeking out and securing funding opportunities to increase income and providing leadership to our small staff team. Volunteers are at the heart of everything we do and the Centre Manager will need to promote the Centre as a great place to volunteer. 

Key responsibilites:

• Ensuring appropriate policies and protocols are in place.
• Overseeing a programme of works for the refurbishment and updating of the Centre.
• Line manage our 7 staff.
• Produce financial reports and plans, working with our Treasurer and Bookkeeper.
• Identify and lead the application process for grants and funding.
• Provide governance and admin support to the Board of Trustees.

The post is offered at £35,000 to £38,000 fte per year (actual up to £30,400 for 30 hours per week). Other benefits include 25 days holiday per year pro rata and a workplace pension scheme. The postholder will need to be on site for the majority of time.

About the role

You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day contact with healthcare professionals and NHS Trusts so that breast cancer patients get the right support at the right time. Here for You provides people diagnosed with breast cancer personalised and timely access to all of Breast Cancer Now’s trusted information and specialist support via a single healthcare professional referral.

You’ll build and enhance the relationships we have with NHS Trusts and healthcare professionals so that the referral route to Breast Cancer Now is integrated into their processes and procedures. You’ll also work with colleagues across the support and influencing directorate, as well as contributing to our monthly reporting.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead IRMO’s Advice programme. As our Senior Advice Programme Manager, you’ll manage a dedicated team and oversee a range of initiatives that provide high-quality information and advice services to respond to the changing needs of our community.

The Advice programme provides trusted information, resources, advice and casework in Spanish and Portuguese on key areas of need, including immigration, welfare entitlements, housing and homelessness prevention. IRMO is accredited by the Advice Quality Standard (AQS) and the Immigration Advice Authority (IAA) at Level 3. We are also members of Advice UK and receive second-tier support from Southwark Law Centre.

Alongside this, the programme works with local health boards to run initiatives designed to improve access to health services, such as HIV testing, sexual health and family planning advice and Chagas disease testing. You will also oversee IRMO’s Community Support service, which manages community enquiries daily at our Brixton centre and through our helpline, provides emergency crisis support and coordinates our Community Interpreting service, as well as connects service users with internal or external support.

These initiatives support people facing difficulties and help them build the skills and confidence to navigate complex systems. All of our work is shaped by the views of our beneficiaries, keeping our services relevant and responsive.

As Senior Advice Programme Manager, you’ll lead the strategic development of the Advice programme, ensuring our work is high-quality, impactful and responsive to the needs of our community. You’ll help grow the programme by strengthening existing partnerships and developing new ones.

Our Adult Learning Manager is a key operational role within the Adult Learning, Skills and Employment service. The post holder will take lead responsibility for the management and delivery of High Trees’ adult learning and community education provision, ensuring highquality, accessible and impactful learning for local residents.

Working closely with the Head of Adult Learning, Skills and Employment, the post holder will oversee the operational delivery of our Adult Education Budget (AEB/ASF) funded provision and wider community learning offer, including functional skills (English, Maths and ICT), ESOL, community wellbeing, family learning and selected vocational courses.

Our Employability & Progression Manager is a key operational role within the Adult Learning, Skills and Employment service. The Trusts and Foundations Manager plays a pivotal role in the success of the Fundraising and Communications Directorate, and London Youth as a whole. In line with our fundraising strategy, you will be responsible for securing new five and six-figure corporate partnerships, achieving ambitious personal targets and contributing to our overall fundraising target of £6.9m in 2026. Your focus will be on high-value long-term strategic relationships with businesses generating both restricted and unrestricted funds as well as other non-financial benefits.

What you will be doing

• Develop and maintain an exemplary understanding of the needs of young people and youth organisations in London.
• Proactively communicate the vision and mission, aims and work of London Youth to funders.
• Undertake prospect research to identify new funding opportunities that increase restricted and unrestricted income.
• Collaborate with teams from across London Youth to develop and submit high quality five and six figure applications to trusts, foundations, institutional funders, and livery companies.
• Work with colleagues to find ways to increase income from existing funders. 
• Meet all KPIs and financial targets. 
• Provide first class stewardship to funders. 
• Maintain up-to-date records on all aspects of fundraising activity on Salesforce and SharePoint and produce regular reports/reports when needed. 
• Ensure agreements are in place with all funders and are recorded in line with our processes. 
• Take responsibility for your ongoing professional development.
• Commit to and actively promote London Youth’s policy and procedures to value and respect diversity and inclusion in all duties and working relationships.

What you bring to the role

Knowledge and Experience:

• Track record of leading and securing five and six figure funding relationships with trusts, foundations, institutional funders, and livery companies. 
• Demonstrable knowledge of UK and London funders. 
• Ability to undertake rigorous prospect research and build and manage a robust pipeline. 
• Demonstrable relationship management skills.
• Proven project management skills. 
• Experience of regularly recording and reporting on data. 
• Ability to interpret financial data. 
• Awareness of Fundraising Regulatory Framework. 
• Experience of acting as an organisational ambassador in a range of outward facing contexts.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Manager to join our team in Exeter.

The Deputy Manager will work as part of a team that provide holistic recovery-focused support to clients with mental health across Exeter & East Devon Mental Health Services. 

They will work closely with and deputise for the Service Manager to ensure the effective delivery of quality housing and support services within Exeter & East Devon Mental Health Services and will be responsible for the day-to-day operational delivery. They will provide effective line management for delegated front-line staff of the services, to include recruitment, induction, supervision, appraisal and performance management.

What you will be doing: 

• Implementing, evaluating and contributing towards the development of local / service specific procedures and good practice in all areas of service management.
• Undertaking regular audits of various aspects of the service including, but not limited to, CDPSoft records, Universal Housing (UH) records, client files, Medication paperwork and Health & Safety records and to undertake any necessary action and report any issues or concerns to the Service Manager.
• Planning, coordinating and leading on the induction of all line managed staff and ensuring that all ongoing training needs are identified, reviewed and implemented and to assist in the induction of any other staff team member, as required.
• Allocating client caseloads to the Mental Health Support Workers fairly and consistently and, in the absence of a Mental Health Support Worker, to ensure client caseloads are appropriately reallocated and covered.
• Being responsible for the day-to-day operations of the services whilst ensuring that effective administration and communication systems are maintained and adhered to

On-call is on a rolling rota with you being on-call once every 10-14 days.Weekday on-calls are from 2000-0800 and weekend and public holiday on-calls are 0800-0800.
