Job purpose

To champion the vision and mission of Advocacy In Greenwich (AIG) by building strong partnerships with community organisations and local authorities; and by developing and delivering impactful initatives for people with learning disabilities and autism.  The role creates opportunities for meanfingful engagement, ensures services are inclusive and accessible, and upholds the highest standards of Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion in line with national best practice.

Strategic Oversight

• Lead the development and delivery of Advocacy In Greenwich’s strategy in collaboration with the Board of Trustees, staff, consultants (including those with lived experience), beneficiaries, and stakeholders.
• Implement the Charity Excellence Framework to drive continuous improvement.
• Foster a supportive and innovative working environment where all employees are encouraged to contribute ideas for AiG’s growth.
• Build and maintain strong networks with local authorities, healthcare professionals, funders, and partner organisations (including neighbouring CEOs and leadership teams) to share best practice, coordinate initiatives, and advance opportunities for people with learning disabilities and autism.
• Ensure strategic partnerships enhance AiG’s reputation, maximise opportunities for service users, and maintain consistent standards of advocacy across the borough.
• Stay informed about relevant policy developments to position AiG for new opportunities.
• Lead on financial strategy, income generation, and annual budgeting.
• Represent AiG professionally as its public face, building trust and credibility.
• Write compelling funding bids and narratives for innovative, needs-led initiatives.
• Liaise with major funders and donors to secure and deliver impactful projects.

Operational Responsibilities

•  Regularly update and maintain organisational policies and procedures, developing new ones as needed to meet project requirements.
• Create and update resources to support both new and existing projects.
• Maintain a professional presence and reputation both internally and externally.
• Manage and support all staff and volunteers, ensuring effective team performance.
• Translate strategic objectives into clear, achievable operational plans, ensuring all team members understand their roles and deliverables to meet funding requirements.
• Oversee robust monitoring and evaluation processes, collecting data, testimonials, and stories to demonstrate impact and fulfil contractual obligations.
• Support staff, volunteers, and consultants to understand and meet funder criteria.· Implement staff appraisal systems and ensure ongoing training and professional development
• Uphold best practice standards to maintain high-quality service delivery.

Governance

• Ensure the Board of Trustees can fulfil its duties and that Advocacy In Greenwich remains fully compliant with all legislation and reporting requirements.
• Provide timely and accurate reports to the Board on all matters within their remit.
• Work with the Chair to develop and deliver an effective induction programme, ensuring trustees understand their roles and responsibilities
• Oversee the preparation of the Annual Report and statutory accounts.
• Lead the development, monitoring, and implementation of the charity’s Risk Register, ensuring risks to AiG and its beneficiaries are minimised.
• Take lead responsibility for safeguarding across the organisation.
• Ensure all staff, volunteers, consultants, and trustees have access to training and development opportunities to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Personal Development

• Engage in regular supervision to support your own professional growth and reflective practice, ensuring the continued quality and stability of the organisation’s services.
• Provide regular supervision and conduct staff appraisals, supporting staff wellbeing, performance, and professional development across the team.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning by identifying and supporting relevant training and development opportunities for staff, volunteers, and consultants, who are people with learning disabilities and autism employed on zero-hour contracts.

Are you an experienced fundraiser looking for a job that is varied, dynamic and helps create meaningful change in the current climate crisis?

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Fundraising Officer to lead a strategic approach to Net Zero fundraising across six dioceses: Worcester, Hereford, Gloucester, Birmingham, Coventry, and Lichfield.

In this role you will shape and strengthen the financial foundations of a transformative, region-wide NZC programme helping churches, schools, clergy housing and diocesan buildings reduce carbon emissions and respond to the climate crisis. In collaboration with teams in all six dioceses you will:

· Support diocesan staff to secure funding to deliver net zero carbon projects and initiatives.

· Lead a strategic approach to NZC fundraising.

· Contribute to the infrastructure, culture and capability across the dioceses in furthering their NZC plans.

We are delighted to be hiring a Senior Research and Evaluation Officer to join The Brilliant Club. This pivotal role will support the charity’s research and evaluation consultancy work through Brilliant Consulting. Through our consultancy work, we have partnered with a range of universities and education organisations, such as the Centre for Transforming Access and Student Outcomes in Higher Education (TASO) and The Sutton Trust. The Senior Research and Evaluation Officer will contribute to improving the evidence base for what works to drive fairer education outcomes and social mobility. They will do this by supporting mission-aligned organisations to conduct robust evaluations of outreach and education programmes.

The Senior Research and Evaluation Officer will join a small consultancy team and will be managed by the charity’s Director of Research and Impact. The team is also supported by several colleagues from across the organisation who work on specific projects based on their areas of expertise. The consultancy team is part of the charity’s wider research and impact team, who collectively have two areas of responsibility: evaluating and reporting the impact of the charity’s programmes and providing research and evaluation consultancy and strategy support to education organisations.

The successful candidate will have strong research skills, including in quantitative research, and will be able to communicate technical information and findings to university access and success practitioners and educators. They will also demonstrate professional skills in relation to stakeholder management and project management and will champion the charity’s values and embody them in interactions with colleagues and partners. While this role can be based at any of our offices throughout the UK, some travel will be required (mainly to London) to attend in-person meetings.

• Has a degree in a subject involving applied research (e.g., economics, education, policy, psychology, sociology, statistics).
• Has quantitative research skills, ideally with experience of constructing comparison groups and running statistical models to understand impact.

The ideal Children's Resource Worker will already have some experience in engagement and participation with vulnerable young people who have experienced trauma, care experienced children or have similar experience in child-facing settings. Activities would include completing one-one work with life skills, and developing a trust relationship, and taking to activities. High level of flexibility required to cover weekends, evenings and bank holidays. Occasionally may be required to support with overnight residentials and night support within the foster home. Car driver and owning a car is essential. There will be opportunities for training and development for this role, as new workers join us at our organisation wide journey to become a fully trauma-informed organisation. The successful candidate will undertake essential  duties that will impact positively on the long-term outcomes for the young people and children in our care. Reporting Structure
The Project Coordinator will report directly to the ICO director and work closely with programme heads responsible for regional portfolios.

Interview Process

The Board is now seeking a successor who can continue strengthening the organisation and raising the profile and importance of professional interpreters working across public services.

NRPSI is the independent voluntary regulator and national register for public service interpreters in the United Kingdom. It sets professional standards, upholds accountability and provides assurance to public sector organisations, including the Ministry of Justice, the Metropolitan Police and NHS bodies, in settings where interpreters are relied upon in critical situations.

In these environments, clear communication is essential. When it fails, the consequences can affect legal outcomes, safeguarding decisions and, in some situations, lives.

The organisation is entering an important moment in its development. The House of Lords Public Services Committee’s 2025 report on interpreting services in the courts has brought renewed national attention to the role that professional interpreters play across justice, policing and healthcare. At the same time, NRPSI continues to advance the longer-term ambition of statutory regulation and protection of title for Registered Public Service Interpreters.

The Role

Stepping into this role, you’ll be accountable to the Board for the governance, strategic direction and operational leadership of the organisation.

This is a hands-on leadership role, working closely with the Chair and Board to shape the organisation’s strategy and priorities, while ensuring the Register continues to operate with credibility, integrity and independence.

You’ll have direct responsibility for the integrity of the Register itself. With your experience, moving between strategic and operational ground will come naturally to you. Your team works mainly remotely and are all long-standing, dedicated and experienced, responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Register. Externally, you’ll act as the senior voice of NRPSI. What does this mean in reality? Engaging with stakeholders across justice, policing, healthcare and central government, representing the organisation’s perspective clearly and authoritatively. This could include contributing to sector discussions, building relationships with policymakers and making the case for why professional interpreting standards matter to public safety and effective public services, or posting on LinkedIn and social channels, giving updates or hosting town halls for registrants.

Financial sustainability also sits within your remit. The Person

This is a role that calls for someone who has operated at senior or director level within a charity, not-for-profit organisation, professional body, regulatory organisation, membership association or comparable public service environment.

Someone who understands the responsibilities that come with leading an organisation whose work centres on professional standards, governance and public protection, and who brings the credibility, judgement and experience required to engage effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders including government departments, public sector organisations, registrants and sector partners.

Youth Focus West Midlands (YFWM) is looking for a Regional Development Lead to work as part of the Network of Regional Youth Work Units to build an inclusive and equitable approach to youth voice and youth engagement, ensuring the most marginalised and under-represented young people have their voices heard and acted upon across the UK.

The Development Lead will manage the Amplify funded programme of work across the region. This will include the facilitation of learning networks, peer support groups and peer research approaches, overseeing of project communications and delivering training and support programmes. The Democratic Progress Institute (DPI) is an independent non-governmental organisation established in consultation with international experts in conflict resolution and democratic advancement. DPI seeks to promote peace and democracy building through strengthened public dialogue and engagement.
